  1. Do you want a warning for Chapter 49 so you can be the first to review that too? Jason has grown up, but that is in no small part thanks to Peter, who was more mature when they met. Peter, will eventually deal with his issues, the question is will he do it sooner than later. If not, all it will do is mess Jason up. Sooner or later he has to move on, and given how things work, that will be when Peter finally comes back - after Jason has found someone else and is trying to find a new life. Hopefully, Peter will figure it out before then - for both their sakes.
  2. Simon, that is spot on. Jason will give him time, but sooner or later he will give up. Not sure Jason and Ethan are a good fit as bf's however, but it seems like they could have some fun anyway.
  3. Ethan to me was always the happy, fun guy no one expects to be down. This was an attempt to show that below smiles and laughter, he was a hurt little boy who needed someone to pay attention to him. I think the two of them came to a good resolution, one that neither will regret - i.e. they both didn't just jump each other because they were broken/breaking up with their BF's - but still left the door open to more should they both find themselves single. I have a sense, Jason won't wait around forever and Ethan won't let him. Clearly Ethan has no issues with Jason being super rich.
  4. Kevin, please, Ethan and D? Really?? Hmm there's an idea for a sequel. Brothers, friends are forever, but sometimes first lovers are not. Things may not work out for these two but at least they tried to deal with it right instead of having the potential for an Ethan/Anthony break up. One more to go, hope when it's posted you like it as much as this one. Andy
  5. I have no idea what you are talking about Anyta, none at all. Nothing to be sad about, there will be new adventures somewhere along the way - who knows, maybe I will revisit these characters - Nephy has already put in a request for what she wants to see happen and i promised her that IF I do a sequel, I will accommodate her wishes - I mean she is Nephy after all
  6. HAHA well Peter was VERY good for Jason before this all happened so Peter is not without his good points too. I am not sure why Jason said no to Ethan. Desire was there. But there was also the issue of Ethan dealing with his break up and Jason still hoping against hope Peter will come back. Then too, Ethan wasn't looking for more than a romp in Jasonland, not asking Jason out. So while you might not be a good girl, this might not have been the right time for this. Besides if things don't work out, Jason has Peter's replacement all lined up.
  7. Had to look up pollyannaish to figure out exactly what you meant - I suppose I can see that, I don't do well writing about people being nasty to each other. I should, it might add a dimension to things, but this is how I wanted this to come out, so I guess that is good, right? Love is hard, as a friend once told me, if it was easy everyone would do it. Thanks for reading. --- Andy
  8. Okay, so see my post on your forum, cause I's still a tad confuzzled. But why let not understanding totally keep me from writing here right?? So Bashta is totally in heat over Cavel hehehe - Poor Cavel, one hopes he can keep up with his soul mate in this May December romance. So far it seems Bashta is outwardly holding the upper hand, but alone he is struggling to keep his 'paws' off of Cavel. You do realize when these to finally shack up, you are gonna need to write one helluva sex scene right?? I mean the fur is gonna FLY baby. Okay so clearly this has a woman's touch or two, but you messed up, you spilled the age old female secret of how to keep men off balanced. Who knew it was so easy.
  9. Well it is sad for both, clearly Peter still loves Jason - he stepped back because he realized what he was doing and if he couldn't change himself, he wasn't going to keep doing it to Jason. As for if they make - that will be revealed in Chapter 49 - sorry, I know I am being a bitch. Andy
  10. Plodding up the steps, Jason shook his head when he noticed the light in the stairwell was out. Hell it'd been out for weeks, why did it bug him only now? Turning the key, he was glad Darryl said he was going out. The last thing he wanted was to talk. Maybe in the morning, after he'd slept on it. No, what he really hoped was once Peter slept on it he would feel different. Out of habit he kicked off his shoes; something he never did before he met Peter. Neither he nor D cared much about
  11. John, I'm impressed - way to go with Shout out. Gallaudet Univ, An oasis of nice in an area of not so nice For those interested, Rayful Edmonds was the Al Capone of his day and place.
  12. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! ENJOY YOUR DAY!!!
  13. Although I didn't write the scenes, in Chapter 45 Jason tells wendy that everyone has tried to get him to go. His mom, Erin, Mr. Lee, Jason, but Peter doesn't think he needs it. Maybe this is the kick he needs, but he is head strong so maybe he won't. But you are right, if he doesn't they won't be able to survive. Not too much to wait, I promise.
  14. Sorry I made you cry, but lame as it is, it made me tear up reading over it today before I posted. As for a happy ending. . . . .
  15. Some stories end happy some don't. BUT Peter didn't say it was over so there's still a chance right?
  16. So does Jason, though he is not convinced it will happen.
  17. Remember even she tried and failed. This was him saying goodbye - she changed his life by what she managed to do with his mom, but despite that, he couldn't come visit if he and Peter split, maybe in time but not in the foreseeable future.
  18. Like I've said, Peter isn't a bad person, he is just messed up. But for Jason, something had to give, as Ethan said, he can't let Peter mistreat him.
  19. Clearly they weren't too convincing for Jason either. Peter is still a good guy, just a bit messed up at the moment. What he needs is what he won't accept - counseling. Thanks for reading and for taking the time to comment
  20. Standing opposite the futon, Jason shifted his weight from foot to foot, staring at Peter. Hunched over his text book, Jason was invisible to him, as if the most important thing to focus on was his studying material. Littered with books and papers, there was no place for Jason to sit, even if he felt welcome. They needed to talk, a real conversation, not a fight. Slinking toward the shelves, he found the volume on the iPod player and turned it way down. REM had a habit of making him feel
  21. Probably Sara, we were just talking about Watts at the gang training conference. So maybe Psft - fugetaboutit - been to Chester, been to Barry Farms. BF beats Chester hands down.
  22. Sharon's view of DC isn't quite the same as mine - no disrespect to James, but this is the REAL HOOD: Where I work: Close to where I live - University of Maryland:
  23. You know Cia, that was awful, just awful. I mean you give us just a hint and the wham, you snatch it away. You are awful mean; might I say the "Queen" of mean even? Okay now for the real - You do this a lot in your writing, you give us just enough to 'see' your characters but not enough to really truly "SEE" them. Which is kinda cool. But I am a tad confused, maybe the next chapter will flesh it out. But I don't understand if Cavel and the kitling [can't spell it, too lazy to go look] - are of the same kind, are they a special subset of the same species? Are the other in the clan, the same as Cavel? As I said, just wondering - 4K words is hard to answer all the questions someone has when you are world building. Not really Escaping the Pain yet, but it has the potential to be. Andy
  24. Well you know they say it hardest to look inside and see what you need. That goes for addition or mental health or trauma. We all think we are fine and it is everyone else who is messed up. But there is still time - maybe - I suppose stuff can happen in 3 chapters, but really . . .
