We bought both our mothers a Color Nook this year. Originally we planned to get them Kindles because neither of them have Wi-Fi in their homes and Kindle has a built in connection to Amazon via Sprint. On a whim we decided to go look at the Nook first before we bought. We ended up buying them Nooks. The one selling point that made the decision easy is tech support. Both our mothers were going to require a fair bit to set it up, buy books etc. Nooks comes with the ability to take the darn thing to a B&N and they will help you set it up, buy books etc. Once we realized that, there was no choice. For us at least it was the over riding reason, for others it might not be.

Chapter 4 - Don't Be Scared
Andrew Q Gordon commented on Nephylim's story chapter in Chapter 4 - Don't Be Scared
This chapter has such great interaction between River and Julia. It adds a dimension to both. It's sad that River was so unprepared for Silver's attention. His reaction, as he notes, shut the blinders and set back their friendship. You do such a great job with this - through River we get how sad we should feel for Silver and what happened. I can see why you said writing this it felt like he was there over your shoulder helping you get it right, it definitely feel like that to me. Great Job, I only wish you threaten us to read this and comment sooner. -
The last sentence was great - excellent end. One thing I just found so puzzling is Josh's reaction - I mean yes he has no experience, but to think Max didn't feel the same back? What was really nice to see was that the one person Josh was most afraid to tell - aside from Max - was the one person who gave him the best advice - his dad. Glad to see they worked it out. Everyone else could see how much they loved each other, too bad it took them so long.

Chapter 30: A Night Out To Forget
Andrew Q Gordon commented on Andrew Q Gordon's story chapter in Chapter 30: A Night Out To Forget
Thanks for reading. The next 11 chapters are written, I am posting two a week until I write the last few chapters. I think I have 4-5 left. Once those are done, I will post them and finish up. Thanks again for taking the time to comment. Andy -
Okay someone has spent way too much time in a hospital setting - not many know that small caliber bullets can rattle around inside the body when they can't make it out. Probably a .22 [deuce deuce on the streets] Didn't see Chalie being Eickels grandson. I also didn't see him being a body guard, nice twist there. I thought it was a deputy that shot him not Charlie. Too bad the Leerans aren't real, the world could use a few million more like them. Oh and the sadistic side of me says it's too bad Alan Kendrick didn't survive, life behind bars is a far worse fate than a quick simple death. Then Dane could send him picture of himself and Tap graduating [a kissing picture of course], he and Tap holding up a wad of money and kissing, he and Tap buying a nice house together and kissing - yeah I am a right royal prick when I want to be. Killing him is too good for him if you ask - though I am sure the boys are just as glad he is gone. Finally - thanks for not barring me from reading the end - but I am still gonna campaign on your behalf Andy

Sappy, cute, and totally worth waiting for But I was totally disappointed, NO CLIFFS??? Cia, C'mon, you are the Queen of Cliffs, why not a teeny weeny little omen of bad to come - like Grandma lurking at the edge of the crowd, deuce deuce raked and ready?? Okay Just kidding. Nice ending

Wonderfully done. I don't dive, but you did a very good job of telling me what it is like without boring me with too much detail. But what continues to impress me most is the way you give us their emotions. Haze is so much more than he projects. The recognition that Blake needed to be distracted and the ability to do it, without Blake knowing he is doing it, shows a deep wisdom and compassion. Whatever else Haze is, he is a beautiful person, one who Blake can be friends with. Just a great story - hopefully you are no where close to the end

Chapter 3 - Discoveries
Andrew Q Gordon commented on Nephylim's story chapter in Chapter 3 - Discoveries
Honestly, you amaze me. The way you write about Silver is so vivid and real to me, it's as if you are describing someone as you watch them behave - yes I know that is the point of good writing, but it is SO hard to do well. I feel for River, sure he is attracted, but I sense his emotions border on anger and disgust - he sees what a sweet, smart person Silver is or was or could be and can't reconcile the horrible abuse someone(s) did to him. Amazing, that is all I can say. Andy -
Chapter 30: A Night Out To Forget
Andrew Q Gordon commented on Andrew Q Gordon's story chapter in Chapter 30: A Night Out To Forget
LMAO!! Killignhog??? it was KillingHAM - I knew someone with that last name, so I stole it for the book. Hog/Ham, I guess it's about the same. Geez Boi, do you think this is a democracy? Pete may or may not wake up, may or may not survive - no I will not bow to pressure. The chapters are written, for good or ill. I am being like my Idol, Nephy and making sure I don't give away Peter's fate. Well not until the time is right. Sorry, but you really would be made at you if I told you . . . er - NVM. Thanks for the comments and as always for reading -
This may sound weird, but I like that Frank's reaction is changed. It gives the story a real feel to it. Everything doesn't always work out, friend don't always understand, there is bound to be one whose behavior changes, even if he isn't 'you're a fag?' I said it before, but poor Josh. He really is all flummoxed over this. Too bad he isn't reading Max's thoughts like we are Great chapter.

Chapter 30: A Night Out To Forget
Andrew Q Gordon commented on Andrew Q Gordon's story chapter in Chapter 30: A Night Out To Forget
I'd like to think Jason is a right decent sort, but he's had a few good examples in his life - Dad, Grandpa Henry, his coach. Peter would thank you, but he isn't able. Sadly he might never be able to. Thanks for the comments - even if I am being a tease right now. -
Chapter 30: A Night Out To Forget
Andrew Q Gordon commented on Andrew Q Gordon's story chapter in Chapter 30: A Night Out To Forget
Nephy, Jason is going to be crushed when I tell him you are far more interested in Peter Besides how interesting is it to see Peter in a coma, he MIGHT never get better you know. Hmm who do I sound like - **wonders who it could be** Jason's self doubt is more an issue of he's had it too easy. With Peter helping him and the team so supportive, he never really had to worry too much about being bashed or taunted - sure mom was a bitch, but being away, it was manageable. -

Me?? Misled you? Never?? Okay the chapter note that the police were called WAS designed to misled a little. Sorry, but Peter is in a coma, what do you want me to do? Smack him around until he wakes up?? He might now wake up at all - - maybe Thanks for reading -

Chapter 30: A Night Out To Forget
Andrew Q Gordon commented on Andrew Q Gordon's story chapter in Chapter 30: A Night Out To Forget
Kevin - not sure I will ever write from Jordan's perspective - maybe but not likely - the idea was after this is over to do a short, maybe 4 - 5 chapter short story about the trial of Jordan, and it's out come. I have a rough idea ho wthat would go, but to give more would require I give away the ending - suffice it to say there will a point where Jason summarizes Jordan's attitude - chapter 41 I believe, I just finished editing it. So there will be a hint of what he is thinking. Thanks for reading.Andy -
As bad as things are for Max, I feel worse for Josh. It is one thing to be forced out - like Max, but the struggle to come out, to leave your comfort zone, can be worse. Toss in that it's more than just coming out, it's that he wants to come out to Max AND tell him how much he loves him, and it's a shock he didn't revert back into his shell. The ending was perfect.

Some how I missed Chapter 3 and went to Chapter 4 and it wasn't until Chapter 5 I finally figured out I missed something Nice chapter - I am a bit surprise Tom actually attacked Max, because if Frank's assessment was true that he wouldn't attack someone as strong as Max, gay or not you wouldn't expect him to attack alone - sounds like Tom is a bully who is also afraid to get hurt so he only fights when he is sure he can win. But I do so love the - what's worse getting your ass kicked or getting it kicked by a queer. I'd say it was the latter

Big Stick Billiards had its usual Friday night crowd, meaning it was busy. They were surprised when their wait for a table was less than thirty minutes. Being under twenty-one, all three were given green wrist bands that told bar tenders they could not buy alcohol. Jason watched his brother fiddling with the plastic around his wrist. "If you take it off Dean, they'll kick you out." "So close." Dean left it alone with only a small frown. Contrary to Dean's prediction, he only took on

Chapter 2 - Surprises
Andrew Q Gordon commented on Nephylim's story chapter in Chapter 2 - Surprises
That about some this up. Your vision for this is amazing, more than that, your ability to get me to see River, Silver, the coffee, kitchen, the shower etc, it's stunning. The sadness Silver evokes is a bit painful - you want to grab him, hold him and tell him he is safe. I do not envy River trying to keep his sanity around Silver. Such a pleasure to read. Thanks my dear. -
Matt, For sheer 'aw how f'ing cute is that' [because we can't see your face so we have to take your word it is you ] I wish I had points left today - I am going come back tomorrow just for this. Then for the fact K of P was my old stomping ground - worked in that mall when I was in HS - lo those many many many etc years ago - I'd give you more, but they won't allow it I see you are putting your snow day to good use LOL. Andy

Okay, I am going to steal a feather from your cap and review EVERY chapter - sue me if you don't like the trade mark infringement - be a fair fight at least - lawyer vs lawyer Okay - first I am mad - mad I didn't start to read this before - this is really good. Your dialogue is amazing - light, witty, flirty, slight mysterious - even the paragraphs of narrative are captivating - no i am not saying that to avoid a suit - this is just Chapter 1 and I am hooked. I will hold off on my question for a few chapters, why waste my precious brain cells when I might need to them to fend off a ferocious law suit from across the pond .

Chapter 29: Brothers
Andrew Q Gordon commented on Andrew Q Gordon's story chapter in Chapter 29: Brothers
Three things, 1) Thanks - I can't believe you take the time to review every chapter - I try and run out of things to say 2) No comments on Peter's condition - if he survives. 3) I would be more surprised if you said anything could hold you back. You have more energy and drive than anyone I know - no lie. You are prolific, gods I am so envious Thanks Nephy for being - well - you -
Chapter 28: The Price You Pay
Andrew Q Gordon commented on Andrew Q Gordon's story chapter in Chapter 28: The Price You Pay
I've said enough about how personal 28 was for me, so I will leave it at that -
Well, kinda??? I mean I could have had Jason run into the street to the sound of screeching tires but THAT would be mean. Then again, I could put a dirty bomb in the hospital and had everyone seconds from death - another good cliffy, but instead I went for mild - guess there goes my shot at Queen of Cliffhangers - oh well I don't look good in Pink Taffeta - ask Rowan and Astrin - I looked smashing in House Rafael colors
