I can honestly say, at least I knew where this chapter was going.

Oh horseshit, I don’t believe it! 🤣 Hmmm 🤔, 86 then 86? Is 86 significant?

With the new family bonds the boys have together and are expanding with, Roger, Sandra, Thomas, and Bren, become older brothers and parental guardians…their immediate family. But the ironic new twist…the great grandsons of the mob boss ask in mob family terms, a verbal contract, “his word”commitment to take them as family and raise them. In turn, Thomas asks the mobster himself to allow Thomas to call him as the great grandsons do. So by pledge and verbal commitment, paths, the twins become brothers and sons to Tomas and Roger, but likewise, “Roger nodded gratefully to the old man, uncertain how Dominic De Luca now viewed their relationship after the pair of impromptu oaths.” By Oaths, Roger becomes Dad to the twins, but Dominic also becomes great granddad to Thomas. Dom had expressed how Roger was already family, but now more than ever, Roger has been adopted from extended family to immediate family of the mob boss. Hmmm 🤔, Boss of All Bosses is senior family to the Boss of Good, which is father to all the boys which were enslaved by members of the same mob family. Mind bender ironic. Ok boys, you’re free from the mob, however you can call the mob boss great grandfather.

They are close…they are both border towns to Mexico, so that makes them very close, right? Lmao, try comparing that distance across the countries of Europe.

Chapter 30: A love that heals. A journey complete
Philippe commented on vanalas's story chapter in Chapter 30: A love that heals. A journey complete
What? You didn’t catch on to this all being a dream sequence? Soap Operas never end, they just have dream sequences, evil twins, cousins that could pass for identical, don’t forget clones, the step brother that had the amazing plastic surgery, the …. Thanks for tuning in to: As the World Turns, These Are the Days of Our Lives, etc. -

With many twists and turns you kept the possibilities veiled in deceit, murder, and the will to survive. I feared a HEA was lost to a villain willing to destroy the family he sought so hard to claim for himself; the fatal blow in vengeance likely, “if I can have you then nobody will.” I’m surprised we didn’t see evidence of Laura striking out from prison; as her life had become fright turned murder and then a life of lies. She used others as if worthless and mere toys to destroy for her own pleasure, or to shape her facade of a happy family. Her demented views of family had me thinking she may meddle in scheming hopes to return to head her fake family household. Nice suspense and thriller aspects you kept going @vanalas, with new twists tossed in just when you lead us down one path, then teased another, then ultimately slapped us with high energy survival/vengeance before a HEA epilogue; nicely done indeed. -
Don’t forget, Micah just confessed what little he knew of his mom but knowing he didn’t have knowledge of a dad. So even Arturo filling in some blanks will give him a sense of connection. Likewise, Arturo thinks himself a whore , son to a whore, and that his mom didn’t come for him. But subconsciously he knows the Clubs is always watching, and that his mom and sibling was most likely dead…so, maybe mom was trying harder than he thought to break away; and she did care, she gave her life trying to save his brother’s life.

Only the parents will need to return to Colorado to close out jobs, house and other local business there; otherwise, they’ll need to license Oli Airways as the parents are expecting…scores more kids.

Where The Hell Did I Leave That?
Philippe commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Where The Hell Did I Leave That?
Haha, the mind of a 4yo, at least that’s about what I think I was when that happened. My visualization was much due to the old Disney Sunday night show were Tinkerbell came out and put the twinkle in the sky…in fireworks fashion of course. -

Do you still have her contact info? I’m missing a whole lot of things through the years… 😂 Yes , a neat little story but also a reminder of how abnormal becomes suspicious 🤨 as people just can’t explain it, and therefore will dismiss all truths for their traditional logic. As a small kid I told my parents Tinkerbell was in the kitchen. They asked me why I said that and where I saw her. I told them she came through the window and flew to the stove and then left really fast. They shared grown up looks and told me to let them know if she came back. A little later mom stepped to the kitchen to make dinner, as the bad storms had finally passed. My mom asked my dad to come to the kitchen as she asked him what time I had seen Tinkerbell. He said it was 3:12 as he remembered because the show had a commercial break. She pointed to the clock on the stove and asked him if Tinkerbell stopped the clock; all while realizing the lightning from the storms had been strong and close. Tinkerbell had indeed stopped the clock and the food processor at 3:12 as recorded on that newly stopped stove clock. 🕰️ The little bouncing ball of light, zipped and turned, and whisked about. She touch the stove and left so fast…I think the lightning scared her too. -
It’s good David has found some peace with Carl’s passing, but he needs to find someone else that understands him like Carl did. Hopefully he is just sharing present days with Carl as he remembers him, but he doesn’t need to embody Carl’s memory as a tool to stay isolated from others, Carl was opposite of that and would be disappointed 😢. Hmmm 🧐, melting the yellow rock, venturing to the scenic mountains, to build what others want/cherish; his very own Yellowstone! Haha 🤣, I couldn’t resist!

But the irony that he finally gives in to make this trip because Cameron really wanted it. So the timing is huge but even being there is like the planets aligned. Wow 😮, there would have been a fair difference in ages between Adam and Joshua, so meeting Jordan will bestow a better understanding of his brother too.

Yeah but then you get a soap opera with the one way mirror affect of watching other people’s lives. The storyline needs to magnify the good we all hope for, or wish we would have had. A bumpy road, a flat tire, an unexpected country garage repair, slows the storyline to allow deeper everyday character building, bonding for a romance; diverging for drama which usually makes for more characters and spin-offs. Argh 😠 Even a triller has to have one protagonist that lives…otherwise we’re left without anyone to identify with. HEA are needed for the hopes of better and happier tomorrows; whether our own or living vicariously through the next generation that perhaps benefits from the environment already prepped for a better chance. Sorry for the ramble but HEA doesn’t have to be all fairy tale fake, just a rewarding journey through life…success, we’ve made it, when so many didn’t and have too many regrets. I do look forward to Jacob’s story My Advocate.

Chapter 7 - That Dark Day After
Philippe commented on Jeff Burton's story chapter in Chapter 7 - That Dark Day After
Wow, Derek is gay, in the closet, but hung…all that from how his name is spelled? Hahaha 😝 Perhaps you’re correct, but if identical then Erik is hung too, amongst a growing group of boys finding their way; close brothers so sympathetically Bi? 🤣 Housekeeping? Is this kinda like at Disney when you accidentally drop a fry on the path, to witness a sweeper appear from out of thin air to whisk that sucker into a handled dust pan, then disappearing back to that hidden observation point, awaiting their next catch of environmental deviations? 😂 -
Ohhhh, I hit the button 😳 , that’s what I get for typing out loud. Now which room is ready for Rebecca…Oops, I did it again.
-
Hmmm, I wonder if Grandpa Mott has the moxie to get Roger to place Rebecca in a position just close enough to see generalities or perhaps 🤔 make her watch edited tapes, to ensure no control is gained by Rebecca, but to witness the interview exposed horrors these kids have had. Then maybe make her watch de-identified tapes of the kids’ deplorable situations being rescued from. Oh cherish the in-terror-gations [free non-medical amputations, with free trauma care…at least cauterized wound care); hey now, we have a pretty good history of extending life under these conditions! Now let’s get started, answer quickly or I may need a hand,…arm,…leg, …; well you’ll get the idea once we’ve started or you will. 😈

Argh 😖 evil 😈 lurks. Dexter is a cockroach. He had resources tracking the family to locate the boys. Hopefully this doesn’t speak of betrayal from within or close to the family now, as the new house and new life doesn’t need future nightmares in their safe space. Laura was too calm and her showing remorse was uncharacteristic. Has anyone kept a close watch on her contacts? Knowing her it may very well be from within the prison/jail but it seems her calm demeanor is a vail for sweet revenge. However, it could be that she has helped train Dexter to be even more sinister than herself. Why terrorize the kids? Jeremy is kidnapped with what seems to be Carter as the target to be ransomed of his wits. So the innocent kids was extra cruel for a person claiming love for Jeremy and his family. Does Dexter now identify them as Ethan still haunting him in his lost love derangement? Argh, get over it Dexter, and not the kids!

A nice backstory to how it came together. Matthew lived and despite the murder attempt, disclose d his brother’s diary. Surprisingly, Jeremy was not overcome by denial, nor hanging onto the many lies Laura had raised him to believe, using hatred to instill that belief. He finally listened, and Carter talked. Together they came up with a plan for Laura to rejoice in her full arrogance for another manipulative victory…at the expense of more lives. Vest or not, standing before a lunatic with a gun aimed at you is a tough commitment; vital organs are protected but key areas for vulnerable and quick death still remain. A simple shot to the head, neck, or strategic arteries of the arm or leg (ouch, near the groin too) could end your life with minutes. Having been subjected to having a shotgun in my face many years ago, the realization that one simple shot can be terminal, no doubts, no second chances, as resuscitation will not be possible. Where is Dexter? OMG, I kept imagining him inducing coitus interruptus, during their heated bonding; that just how evil Dexter’s character is and how spontaneously he has been popping up.
-
It’s looking better for David as his anger is changing more towards acceptance. His sense of mourning and loss gives him opportunities to talk and visit at the time and place of his choosing. I just hope it doesn’t become a crutch to hobble away from socializing. His interest in architecture remains so I’m optimistic he will be ok.
