These devices are now more common than a comb, a toothbrush or a fork was to us. Onerous Technology Paradigm means it is too cumbersome to type on these keypad devices and the younger generations have adopted acronyms of common phases to be conversant text. Text, being more common than the words yes or no, can I or may I, therefore become mainstream conversation; which is another vast overstatement of communication, as the multiple meanings of acronyms are highly dependent on a common acronym environment and often causing confusion. Which leads to your long expression of, I don’t understand the meaning of..., which would have probably translated in to generational iterations of: what did you mean OTP? what, OTP? OTP? huh? ??? ? Yes, the back brief to the companions is way overdue, and uncharacteristic of the team and Kieran. Kieran’s agreement with Ranevargar’s plan has put the companions in trust while the pace of events has bypassed his most trusted advisors and friends; likewise our point of view has been obscured by the same vail of the Ranevargar/Kieran persona and pageantry of the court. Why is Kieran unable to return or unlock his own memories? The companions have been linked and/or bonded from the beginning but is that a natural or supernatural magic bonding? Ironic that all roads lead to the Opal and then all roads lead to the realms; and now they find themselves unable to leave; Hotel California?

Forget not that Kohen has been healing and recovering from major trauma; was he even healthy enough to heal Captain and re-bond? Captain may have felt guilt, may have felt Kohen’s great relief at being free and loved him enough to set him free, but now Kohen is realizing he isn’t really free if he can’t trust Captain enough to have his best interest at heart ❤️.

Wow, I was so hoping that you were pouring emotions in to a fictional short story. I’m so sorry to know you’ve had these life challenges but now as you share and talk this out I can’t help but think it is indeed getting better. I’ve mentored children in the group homes, I’ve seen the difficulties of learning trust when so many have let them down. Please consideration your advantages in helping others learn to ask and accept help when the it final finds them. This things break my heart ❤️.

Oh how ironic that Chomper and Deke have so much in common; both greater protectors and both bonded directly or indirectly to a life bonded couple. Chomper is amazing that he can absorb such tremendous energies as Kohens system is generating and seemingly convert it into greater strength, growth, and a more mature intelligence. Chomper’s instinctual bond and love for Kohen has brought him back from death to now have a level of self awareness that acknowledges the other protector; that of his life bonded. Deke may be crass, but what he lacks in couth he more than makes up for in dedication to Captain and by extension his crew family. To openly stand before and challenge Chomper, the adolescent lizard of fire 🔥, bringing Kohen’s level of awareness and hopefully healing of his life bond with Captain to his consciousness is every bit the hero warrior we’ve believed him to be! This is a tough chapter I’m sure to write and try to convey the many aspects of alien instincts, emotions, bonds, healing, and the will to love and protect those dear to you; but I believe this to be a great chapter in doing exactly that! It’s a tough chapter in reminding us more of Kohen’s life of pain. But Kohen’s sacrifice to protect himself, his family and to destroy those trying to deny him those freedoms is a powerful message of love and survival. Let’s hope the efforts of the protectors will indeed give us back the family and bonds that have defied all challengers.

Ahh, the trials and tribulations of love 💕. I’m enjoying the many shades of maturity, attraction, and growth in their relationship. It’s not inconceivable at all, nor does real life issues separate themselves neatly for protection of pride and privacy. Thanks for sharing this story.

I’m confused by this proclamation. All processes require some adjustments, but the referenced oppressive security is to make them safe and to ensure abiding to rules of voluntary participation; they are free to dis-enroll from the program at any time as no one is captive. To have slept in fear on the streets, with questionable alliances of mutual support if any, will often bring fears of all people unknown to the that person. The limited access of others to the project is offering these kids a voluntary but known, familiar, and reasonably safe environment to be relaxed, learn trust, and get a helping start towards true independence. Security is somewhat of a fallacy for most residential and commercial properties anyway; A thin layer of easily broken glass or a thin layer of sheet metal requiring little more than a can opener to gain passage, blocks that crumble to a sledge hammer in a few blows, and then there are door locks and garage doors with limited production code sets; that a neighbor may have to change their settings to avoid inadvertently opening your garage. YET, many of us will easily find comfort in checking our windows and doors locked before solidly sleeping behind such minimal security barriers. These kids are being offered a small community environment but with expectations of a short voluntary stay before gaining independent with help from the project. Where have I missed the oppression requiring such defeat?
