You know, I'm terrified of heights. Terrified. My boyfriend forced me into one of those pirate ship things at the carnival that swing you up and let you fall -not even the ones that turn you all around, mind you, the wimpy ones- and he still hasn't gotten over how much of a screaming pussy I was on that thing. But as much as I hate heights I've never had a single problem on a plane. Not even one of those small, four person planes when I was in the front seat. And helicopters? I love them, they're awesome. I took like three helicopter tours of Orlando in a row when I was there a few years ago. The only bad experience I've ever had in a plane was a slightly cramped seat in a two hour connecting flight. That's it.

Something tells me that babies gonna be president someday

I definitely couldn't have done that. Not even the coming out thing, just giving a speech in front of people. *shudders* Just thinking about it makes me wanna hide. That guy has balls of steel.

So...these are obviously only for high end, society shindigs. *sighs* I'll never have an excuse to wear one now.

This is why I'm glad I have a very small family and only interact with my parents. Reading all that made me wish I was one of those people that broke out into cold sweats because that totally deserves one. Good luck in getting through that with as few murder attempts as possible.

I don't think it's pointless, but I think most people have pretty unrealstic resolutions. They get all "yeah, I'm gonna do it! *fist pump*" and then say things they're never gonna follow through on like "I'm not gonna have any *insert favorite junk food* all year!" or "I'm gonna go to the gym everyday and get that six pack I've been meaning to pick up!" when what they should really be doing is only eating their favorite junk food once a week instead of every other day and starting off exercising a few times a week, whether it's at the gym of on that treadmill they bought 10 years ago and never used. People need to realize there's a lot of space between "all out" and "fuck it". At least that's what I think.
-
I suck at resolutions, I usually end up totally forgetting them within a month. If I was gonna make one it would be to exercise more and eat less, but I've been doing that for months so it's kind of more of a "New Years Continue What I'm Already Doing" than a resolution.

I never said anything about Kefka. I've never played FF6 so I can't comment on him, but from what I've heard nothing but good things about him as a villian. I disagree about FF7 though, Sephiroth might not have been the main point of the story, but neither were only Cloud, Aeris and Tifa. The main point was the main character party saving the world from SHINRA, and then later on Sephiroth. The whole thing with Cloud and Zach and Aeris and Tifa was just part of that, and honestly not that interesting and just unnecessarily confusing. But as far as villians go, the whole "insane villian" is lazy IMO, and if someone's gonna do it then they need to put a LOT of effort into making it interesting, and JRPG's rarely go out of their way to make an interesting character when a cliche will do. As for looking past the "save the world thing", it's kinda hard when it's the main point of the game. If I have to look past the whole point of a game to have fun with it, then it's a bad game and a bad story. It's like saying "Star Wars is great if you ignore all the stuff about the Empire".

I hate picking one favorite of anything, but if I had to pick, I guess I'd say Zachary Quinto? I'd see pretty much anything if he's in it for more than five minutes.

It's only me, my parents and my boyfriend for Christmas dinner (my first one with him!) so we're just having a big ass turkey, some baked potatos and probably some veggie stuff that I don't eat.
-
Probably stupid, but it's stupidity that only really put yourself in danger so it's completely forgivable. Now if you were drag racing cars, that'd be a whole other issue.

I hate Apple. Hate. They start out with a good idea but the second someone else gets ahold of it they do it better and less expensively. The iPod is pretty much useless because you can get an off brand MP3 player that does everything except play songs from iTunes but you can add songs you download from anywhere else, the Kindle Fire and other non iPad tablets are better than the iPad, more options, more compatibility, way better app store and Andriod are definitely better than the overpriced hipster status symbol that is the iPhone. Again you get the better app store that isn't censored and it works better as a phone. Oh, and of course, Apple Maps. Do I even need to explain that one? So yeah, I'm definitely an Andriod guy.

You mean there's any other way to play it?

It happens to me sometimes, but usually because someone says something like "I don't really like how you did this, I think you should have done this" and I start thinking everyone reading my stuff thinks the same way, then I start changing things until I get a new complaint It's never anything major, but it does effect the tone of some chapters. When people don't say anything though, I can usually stick to what I have planned. Unless something better pops into my head or I get to the part where something is supposed to happen, but it doesn't fit with what I just wrote. Then I'll change it, and usually for the better. I try to keep telling myself that I'm writing the story for me, and if people like what I'm doing then awesome, and if they don't then I'm just not for them, but it's hard not being loved by everyone sometimes, lol.

THANK YOU! It's so freaking hard to get SE fanboys to admit this. But lets be honest, FF games have never had the best storylines. They've all suffered from Japanese storytelling with cliched "I wanna destroy the world, rawwwr!" Saturday morning cartoon bad guys and characters built around one character trait and halfway through the game totally losing the plot and going off on stupid, philosphical rants. People just have good memories of earlier FF games because they did all that before it was overdone. Like FF7, that thing is probably the most cliched story with one of the stupidest motivations for a villian ever ("I just found out my mommy was an alien, so I wanna destroy the world now for some reason") and yet that game and Sephiroth are on every "best of" list ever. But there are a lot of really good JRPG's out there, some even made by SE, that actually put effort into the story. It's just sad that most JRPG developers don't even try anymore and just shove fan service and overused plots down our throats.

Jennifer Lawrence Named Most Desirable Woman of 2012
Cyhort replied to methodwriter85's topic in The Lounge
She's thin, blonde and wearing makeup. I don't think there's anything else she could add to make me less attracted to her. She might be a great actress, but she definitely doesn't make it on the small list of women I find desireable. -
It's a trilogy with a trilogy inside the trilogy. It's like inceptrilogy.
-
Huh, it's almost like teenagers with a lot of money and attention tend to be jackasses, weird that.
-
What was inappropriate about it? I've seen a LOT of stuff on Amazon that had pretty out there sexual stuff in it so I can't even imagine what it could be about unless it was like a guide to picking up kids in a creepy van or how to build a bomb or something.
-
I'm just taking a break from it now. It's freaking awesome so far

People are stupid. I've never understood how anyone can get that obsessive over a celebrity. Even if he really did have cancer anyone who'd shave their head because of it is an idiot and I hope they never breed.

I pre ordered mine from GameStop.com less than a week ago. They're usually really great at getting you games on release day when you order them. Just order from their site and do in store pick up or one day shipping.

I haven't worn underwear in years, lol.

I used to, but I hate the way modern comics always have to shove the editors/writers politics into the story. Plus I'm sick of huge, world changing event comics happening every year. House of M was the last one I didn't hate. And don't even get me started on that DC reboot crap. If I'm gonna read comics I'll stick with stuff from the ninties to mid 2000's and manga.

Drunk off you ass: Seriously, didn't know it was possible
Cyhort replied to W_L's topic in The Lounge
So, a frat is surprised that it's members were getting drunk? Um....
