Sasha! I LOVED this story! But you know I love all your 'song' stories. I applaud everyone who lives with constant rain. I'd be depressed every day. I can't imagine so much rain. The poor horses and dogs with no where to romp around. Your descriptions were terrific - they actually depressed me b/c everything was so wet! When you wrote about even THE HOUSE feeling damp and Dev's room being moldy, and his clothes never dried b/c of all the moisture - I felt like I was there, I wanted to soak in the sun on a beach somewhere (w/the Dan+Shay boys, lol), just to dry out. lol Devon and Hunter were so cute together. I laughed when Devon nailed Gavin's shirt to the post. What an ass Gavin was - he was calling some guy 'babe' not five days after he left Devon??? What a ho. Love your banner also!

I always seem to forget something after I hit the 'send' button. I loved your use of 'wicked' - 'wicked smart'. Reminded me of my years in Beantown. Funny, I thought that was only a New England term. lol

Cole, I think this is one of the most fascinating things I've ever read. I was riveted to my screen, sitting at the edge of my seat. It was amazing. And of course the irony of the situation is that Substance P, the drug Jason invented, is what he needs to combat his own PTSD which he will never see since he's locked up in a mental health hospital. I'm amazed though that well, number one, he administered the drug to Clay. I know Clay was at his wit's end when it came to treatment and Jason only wanted to help him but he had no idea how Clay would react. Even though he seems cured after only two weeks on the meds, who's to say a slow build-up won't do any damage? Number two, Jason gave Clay aspirin for his headache on the first day. He had no idea how the aspirin would react to the drug and vice-versa. He might have killed Clay. Now though, what happens to Clay? Doesn't he need to continue with the drug or is he totally cured? Or since he's not getting the drug anymore, will he revert back to his PTST behavior? I think we need a sequel! Pronto!!!! Seriously though, this was such a fantastic read. Your imagination/research (?) knows no bounds and I was just transfixed to my screen absorbing every word. I think I agree with Mann; this might be your best work yet. Now you mentioned that this was based on a true story. So is there a Substance P? And what happened to the patient?

I applaud Nate's ingenuity in coming up with those devious plans to get back at his tormentors. He's definitely a survivor, instead of cowering in a corner and feeling sorry for himself, he outwitted, outlasted, and outplayed his enemies. I really enjoyed your story, Bill.

Great story, Ron! I do like how Robert started out wanting his typical one-night-stand and then really falling for David even if he didn't want to admit it. The whole miscommunication scene when Robert wouldn't have sex with David and David took it as a personal rejection (who wouldn't?), was touching. I'm glad David wound up going back to Robert's place. I think I agree with Mann about the type of man David usually goes for. His father was an imposing figure who came after him with a knife. Not that that was what David was looking for as far as the abuse goes, but maybe deep in his mind he feels 'safe' with an older, bigger guy. Great story, Ron! I really enjoyed reading it.

That Banta guy is such an ass. He's harassing Matt; he keeps badgering him about the whole his not screaming thing. Poor Matt, I just wanted to hug him. As much as Randy is turning out to be one big asshole, I think he's right about the case. If anything comes out about the boys wanting Dillon or their own forays into sexual freedom, so to speak, it could be in Dillon's favor. That doesn't excuse what Dillon did, but it won't paint the boys as innocent kids, that's for sure. And as I said in my last review (I think, lol), Randys a loose cannon; who knows what will come out of his mouth. Nothing good, I'm sure.

I feel badly for Emmett's mom; she must feel so lonely all these years w/o her husband. I'm curious about the Price twins and why they look at Emmett so strangely. Hopefully they won't listen to that idiot John and they'll try to befriend Emmett. Emmett seems so lonely.

Holy shit, that's a lot of money the boys and Helen are giving the General. And it certainly doesn't come at a good time either - the band's sales have gone down as well as ticket sales on their concerts. Hopefully the General can get it back to them. And now of course Eric and Jansen are headed to the airport and the General is headed there, as well as The Scar which they don't know about, so that's definitely not a good thing. What a terrifically (is that even a word? lol), suspensful chapter, CJ!

Congrats, Graeme!!!!

I love HEA's! I'm so glad Seth and Gavin are still together! And Mom has a new hubby!

Omg, is that howitzer going to hit the plane????? Poor Wilhelm...
-
Shit, I wish I understood that last part there. lol

"The Scorpion and the Frog"...someone told me it was an Afghan folklore, and actually the frog was a turtle. But of course, the same exact lines. Poor Eric - he totally said the wrong thing but with good intentions. I hope he can fix this. The reunion between the General and Brian was great - not as heartfelt as I would have liked, but given the circumstances, it was to be expected. They are all in a hurry, after all.

Ahh, gotta feel just a wee bit sorry for the poor blonde clueless twink. Seems Derek is gettng bored with him already. And of course Derek is going to put a nice little spin on what happened between him and Noah, just so it turns out favorable for him. What an ass. Great chapter, Rob, but TOO SHORT!!!! lol

I agree with Suvitar; Jackie will be very upset to "lose" her brother and the uncle of her kids. She'll want both Mark and Trey to live around where Mark lives so she can but into Treys business too. lol Persistent bugger she is! lol But, she has to let her brother grow up. I'm looking forward to hearing Trey's mom's reaction.

I had the longest review and I accidentally hit the wrong button and voila! It's gone! Reader's Digest version: 'Before Mount Saint Helen would erupt...' Now THAT was a funny line! I wrote a whole diatribe about Jane and how she was treating Helen and how absent she had been, yada, yada, yada but I'll just say that she has some damn nerve telling Helen her job is to 'protect my boys'. Where was she when her boys were being shot at by that lunatic Dimitri? Where was she when Helen took a bullet for Eric? Hmmm? I understand her fear that she thinks Helen took over her role as mother to her boys, but well, where was she? She gave up that role when her idiot of a husband made her choose between her boys and him. Stupid woman chose him. It's so nice that she's trying to 'be a family again', but she's going to have to do a lot to make up for the fact that she abandoned her kids. And in regards to The Scar, Felecea (I forgot how to spell her name! Sorry), and Bradson, I hope the General figures out tbefore it's too late that they are planning to kill him. Anyway...terrific chapter, CJ!

Omg, they're all doomed! What's worse, an erupting volcano or a tsunami?! Hey, at least they're now husband and wife.
-
I'm glad that Seth isn't going to leave his mom all by herself to run the ranch. She made a wonderful offer to Gavin and I'm happy they're taking her up on it. Serves the old drunk right, coming down with liver disease.
-
Seth's lucky he has Gavin there for him. He'll have to be strong for his mom though, whatever happens to his father. They should have gotten restraining orders against him; no one should live with being abused like that. Oh, and I like your new name, Shadow!
-
What an asshole the "father" is! He deserves everything that happens to him. I hope he collapsed for good.
-
Randy is definitely a loose cannon. I would really be worried about what he's going to say on the stand. If he says anything negative about Matt, Andy, and Thomas, that could be detrimental to the case painting them as innocent kids. Their character is in question, as well as Dillon's.

Eric came up with a fantastic idea for the club. I do see a problem with splitting the club, half twenty-one and over and half under twenty-one. What's to prevent the underage kids from going into the other section? They'd have to be given wristbands or something, signifying that they're underage. But then again, they could pay other customers to get them drinks. On another note, I thought going into business with friends was the WORST idea! lol I think I heard that somewhere... Now it's countdown time for the General. I hope he figures out what The Scar is up to before it's too late. Another riveting chapter, CJ!

Omg, J&K are brothers!!!! lol And now there's an active volcano!! That Brandon, Chase, and Jon know about! lol Wait till Helen finds out! Oh, and I apologize for misspelling La Palma yesterday. I don't know why I thought it was La Playa. lol

Cassie, it was my pleasure. I absolutely loved the story and you wrote it so beautifully that by the end I had tears running down my face. Your descriptions, your attention to detail, and the engaging way you write always draws me in. It was like that from the first story I read from you back in the "Not the Sun" days. =) -
Holy shit, CJ! Like these kids and Helen, Barbra, Wilde and Co., have nothing else to worry about, now they have to worry about LA breaking in half. Or whatever. Hopefully the airport didn't shut down and the Brandon, Chase, and Jon can still catch their private plane out of there. Oh yeah, and now there's a volcano on La Playa. What joy! lol
