Thank you, Krista for not waiting until next week to post this!!! Corey was certainly brave, coming out to his two friends. I just hope they keep their mouth shut about Clinton. I'm sure Clinton would be none-too-pleased to find out that Corey outed him. I'm proud of Andy and Keith though; they are truly great friends. Corey should borrow Andy or Keith's phone so he can finally call Clinton back. Clinton is going to think Corey's avoiding him. Can't wait to see what the next chapter brings! =)

Man, was I proud of Jenny! Way to go, girl! And why do people always say 'on your period'? I always say 'having your period'. It's something you have, not something you're on. Like a drug. Although it would be nice to be on drugs when you have your period. lol Ok, off topic. Sorry. I can't believe Clinton just said 'Ok' to that ass Cj!!! Where are his balls?????? He's totally enabling Cj to act like the ass he is. He should have said, you pick up the damn boxes and stop treating my friends like shit! Jesus Clinton, grow a pair! What the hell are you so afraid of? So Cj stops being your friend - no great loss there. So he slanders you - so what? He shouldn't be so intimidated by Cj. What's Cj's hold over Clinton anyway? I'm starting to like Greg more now that he's trying to be a friend to Corey. I'm glad he stopped Corey from doing anything. Corey would have regretted it and Greg would have done it for all the wrong reasons (as Corey would have also). They both would have used each other. I just don't know how C&C are going to work this out. Since Clinton isn't going to do anything, Cj is a major obstacle. I guess nothing can be done unless they both come out and I don't see that happening in the near future. And that whole thing with the puppies - Jenny should not have back down; she should still go to the police. Terrific chapter, Krista! It really got me all riled up. lol

Chapter Twelve: Twentieth Century Boy
Lisa commented on Thorn Wilde's story chapter in Chapter Twelve: Twentieth Century Boy
Thorn, I'm so sorry to hear about your troubles. I don't even think I knew you had a blog, so I haven't been reading it. I hope that you're feeling better now. =) I really missed this story. I enjoyed this last chapter. Stuart is growing on me, although when he told Dave about letting him know how special Nick was, it sounded a little like a threat, like if Dave wasn't careful, Stuart would come and sweep Nick off his feet. That better not happen. lol I'm glad Alan is feeling more comfortable around his friends when he's hanging out with Matt. Loved the matchmaking between Zoe and Richard too. All in all, a terrific chapter, Thorn! -
Andy should be scared of the defense questioning him; they are going to try to shoot holes in his testimony. I liked his thoughts when he was being questioned by Wheeler. He's trying to make everything sound like he was taken advantage of, but in reality he wanted everything Dillon did to him. So much so that he thought they loved each other. Poor Andy. I'm looking forward to the next day at trial. Andy should watch out for Banta; he's an ass who is only going to harass him. I hope Wheeler calls out a lot of objections. lol

Wow, you are quick, Addy! I like the picture! Poor Mark, what a sort-of nightmare! lol Or a reality-mare. hehe Very creepy with the wolf and then Mark's eyes in the end. Sorta gave me chills. Great job, Addy!

I knew it! He's going to use the nuke to jumpstart the volcano. What a psycho!
-
Omg, I gnawed off my fingers (b/c last night I chewed all my nails), reading this chapter. Holy hell. lol My heart was in my stomach the whole time Eric was running and Keith was eating breakfast with Frankenstein/Jerry/The Scar. Omg...thank God the boys got away, but wow!! Way to go Eric!!!!! Wish he could have beaten him more!
-
Shit, shit, shit, Keither is going to walk right into the kitchen and he's going to lead The Scar right to his party. This is not looking good. I think the only thing the boys and co. have going for them is the fact that the power's out and The Scar and his henchmen won't be able to see that well.
-
Oh man, CJ. I bit off all my nails and I'm at the edge of my seat. I don't even want to know what's going to happen when The Scar realizes Instinct is still there. And they won't recognize him, well, maybe Eric will. I'm so glad Helen and Bradson are coming down. I wish Felecia and her men were there too. The Scar only has a few men; with Fel's men they could easily take The Scar and his henchmen. But all this has to happen before the volcano erupts/tsunami happens. lol
-
CJ, the two stories of yours that I've read so far are fantastic! And I'm the one who's probably clogging up your inbox with all my reviews.
-
This is so not good. I had a feeling the US was going to think Helen was blackmailing them. But of course, if the volcano erupts, the nukes will go off, right? And then it'll be a moot point. Boy, CJ, you really know how to write a suspenseful tale. I'm sitting here glued to my computer screen when I should be doing other things like feeding the kids. lol So what if they starve? I have to read the next chapter! lol
-
Holy shit, holy shit, holy shit. What a chapter. I cried for Jim, Linda, and Pvt. Johnson. Why couldn't it be some mercenaries instead? I know, mean, right? Now that The Scar has one of the nukes, this is not going to be good. Wouldn't it be great if he got caught up in the tsunami? lol
-
Oh Jansen, not a good idea. lol I can't wait for the press conference. Let's see if the US comes through for them.
-
I ditto Ron: that line was hysterical! Along with "...that pencil-dicked douchebag..." The sad thing is, I feel sorry for Reagen. He's so clueless about Derek. Derek is off with some other twink. He needs to cut his losses and move on. He's only in his early twenties for God's sakes! lol
-
I always wish the chapters were longer, so this one was great! I too felt badly for Mark. I wonder what Gary thought when Mark flinched and closed his eyes. Was that like force of habit? Expecting someone to slap him upside the head for the fish getting away? What a horrible way to grow up. He must have been walking on eggshells all the time when he was around his father. That's no way to grow up. I'm glad this fishing experience was a happy one for him (even though it was emotional).

The debate went on for a few moments, until Helen literally put her foot down and said, “We’re going to compromise and do it my way. General, Felecia, you two go get some sleep, right now. Brian, if you can hang in there for a couple of hours, I’ll be here at midnight to take over. Jon, you’re sacking out in Brandon and Chase’s living room so the General can have your room. Jansen, Keith, one of you gets to sleep in your living room so Brian can have a room. Eric, Felecia can have your room and you can sleep in the volcano. There, we’re done.” That was hysterical! Eric sleeps in the volcano! lol We're going to compromise and do it my way. lol Too funny. I'm nervous about The Scar following them to the storage facility. I'd love to see Helen come face to face with Clump and blow him away with the AK-47.
-
I agree with Mikie; I was cracking up when Jansen said this! And I SO did not see the whole Felecia-Bradson thing! Let's just hope the US government pays for the nukes. Otherwise Instinct will be too broke to even hire the General and Felecia. lol

Story Review Featured Story: Roommates
Lisa commented on Renee Stevens's blog entry in Gay Authors News
Louis, that was such a wonderful review! I really want to read the story now. I love Krista's "Standing in Shadows", so I'll definitely have to check out this story too. Thanks, Louis. =) -
They never got tested when they first got together? Anyway...nice chapter Mikey. I felt so sorry for Marcus. He knew what a louse Jared was but he couldn't say anything to Tony. Tony found out the hard way. I thought it was adorable that Marcus bought the picture Tony's dad took. Oh, I did notice an error - it was a funny one: Shelley Bond, Tony's friend started out as Shelley Bond, but then the next time she was mentioned to Marcus, she became the girl from "Cheers" - Shelley Long. lol

Omg, I can imagine driving with two nukes in the car! lol I just hope the US government pays and the boys get their money back.

What is your highest education level? Do you want to go back to school
Lisa replied to W_L's topic in The Lounge
I don't mean to butt in b/c I really was just reading about the different educations of the members of GA, and I wasn't going to comment, but I need to say something. And I'm sorry for getting off-topic. Having a social anxiety disorder is a horrible thing. I have a sixteen-year-old who struggles with this every day. He's on meds to help him but it's a struggle. He has friends in school but he won't hang out with them after school. When he's at his father's house he will only talk if someone talks to him and even then it's like pulling teeth. He doesn't feel comfortable talking to most people. I worry about him a lot, especially now that college is two short years away. I can't imagine him living on campus, in a dorm room with other kids. I could only hope that he will improve by that time. I would love for him to have this great college experience like I had but I'm afraid he'll just be holed up in his room. Alone. Having a "normal" college experience is extremely difficult for kids with social anxiety. They're not "fucked up", their brain is just wired a little differently. I think we all need to be a little more accepting and compassionate with the people around us and not judge others so much. Again, I'm sorry for getting off-topic; I just couldn't not say something.- 39 replies

Nice story, Rachel. I was also wondering about the guys who vandalized TJ's car. You said in a reviewer response that they were teenagers, but how could this be if TJ and Jimmy (I think that ws the cop's name), grew up together? Obviously TJ and the cop aren't teenagers. Plus, how the hell did the guys know about TJ? They would really come out the day after a blizzard, and drive up to a cabin in the woods to vandalize a car? Also, there was no mention of Christmas or New Year's from the guys. I thought TJ left for the three-hour drive to the cabin on Dec. 20th? They would have both been in the cabin for Christmas. Maybe not New Year's, but definitely Christmas. I thought they would at least wish each other a merry Christmas... And if you're going back to edit some things, maybe you want to add this: when TJ went out to Stephan's car to grab his clothes, he had to get in his car and drive really slow down the driveway b/c of all the ice that was underneath the snow. But then the next day Stephan WALKS all the way down the driveway and is back in only a few mintues after grabbing his computer and charger? It seems that walking down the driveway and back up would take a lot longer than a few minutes. Just sayin'. Other than that, I really enjoyed reading it. I'd like to think that TJ and Stephan were able to meet often despite being three hours away.

Aaron, I'm speechless. This was amazing. I couldn't stop reading. At first when I read the first few sentences in the blog entry, I wasn't going to read it b/c I thought it was going to be some historical piece from the 1800's. Then I reminded myself of what a fantastic writer you are and I thought, what the hell, I'll read it just b/c Aaron wrote it. I am so glad I did. River (appropriately named since he loves the Mississippi so much), was so compelling to read about. It's strange to think that his parents stopped talking to him since his IQ tests came back four years ago. Are they that intimidated by his intelligence that they would just stop talking to him? How is that possible? And they think they're helping him? The poor kid has no communication skills, he has no tactile stimulation (get your mind out of the gutter, I'm talking technical not pervy, lol), and he feels no love from his parents. And they want to ship him off to some looney bin just to get rid of him. Oh, that will make them feel better; they won't have anyone in the house who knows more than they do. They'll probably forget all about him in there. Maybe if they had be real parents who showed their child love and affection and support while he was growing up, he wouldn't have these anger problems and he would know how to communicate with kids his own age and therefore there might be a much greater chance they wouldn't pick on him. Now he finds someone who has wanted to be friends (and more), with him for quite awhile and he has to go off to the looney bin. Which actually reminds me of a question I had while I was reading: if River's folks were in bed, how did they know he was gone? And even if they woke up and saw he wasn't there, wouldn't it be them who took them to the hospital, not the cops? I know I'm being technical and it doesn't really matter. I was just curious. I hope you can continue this in another story. I'd love to see how River "runs backwards" and reinvents himself as a better person so he can come home and be with Matthew. Fantastic story, Aaron. I'm so impressed with your writing.

Wow, I certainly didn't see that one coming! What a great suspenseful story, Dolores!
