  1. Fantastic chapter, Parker! I was also wondering why Mrs. S. was so harsh with Andy when he and Zander came into the kitchen. I'm glad she apologized. The three of them must have been horrified when they saw Andy's back. I was taken aback when Zander started telling them about Andy's life. I had forgotten he had read Andy's journal, thinking it was just a paper for school. I hope Mr. S. has some good news for Andy. Maybe he's taking him to the police station to prove that they found his sperm donor's killer, so he doesn't have to be afraid anymore that the cops are after him.
  2. YAY!!!! To quote Tim, if I may, but in my own words: fuckin' finally! I am sooooo glad Mrs. S. went into the barn looking for the "intruder". I'm thrilled that Andy is going to have to spill the beans and confess everything to the family. He's so afraid of being sent back home to stand trial for murder, it's actually comical in a way. I mean, he doesn't even know HOW his sperm donor died, does he? Do we? I don't think it was said... What jury in the world would convict Andy, this poor, abused kid of murder? I think it will help that Mr. S. is an attorney He can probably check into the matter discreetly and guide Andy on what to do next. And now I know what the title means! lol Yes, I know, I am very slow!!! A hella awesome chapter, Parker!!!
  3. Ditto: RIP Ziggy. So, so sad to hear about the great David Bowie.
  4. Heya, Parker! I'm halfway through with chapter forty, but I wanted to review because I haven't done so in a while. First off, thank GOD Zander found Andy in his barn! What luck was it that Andy chose that barn to almost freeze to death in? lol And again, of all the people in that town, Zander's dad happens to be the attorney Stevenson whose business card Andy found. What a coincidence! lol I was really laughing when I read that! And Zander's dad is so cool; he just goes along with it, telling people he has another son and his name is Andy! lol Ok, back to reading...
  5. Wow, yeah, Peter's right - Blood Gem being Ennis, and Shade being Jack. It's been quite some time, I hope I didn't mix up the names. This was a heartbreaking poem, Doc. AC would probably shoot me, but I don't know the difference between an Elegy or a Tanka or any of the others you guys are writing. lol But I do know this was another of your beautiful poems that brought tears to my eyes, Doc.
  6. Are you sure that Josiah fucking Coulton isn't the love child of Tommy's mother and Pastor Enos Johnson? hehe Maybe he's really Enos' stepson or something and they moved close by so they can both keep an eye on David and his house. I bet Josiah was praying over the house, ridding it of its demons, just like they did to Danny's house (his new house). Sickos. David is slowly but surely embracing Twoey's feelings for him and giving them right back. I'm glad he finally sees Kathy for what she is, a manipulating twat, and he's planning on dumping her. He is smart to know that he should talk to her brother first. I wonder what will happen with that. I hope Greg doesn't try to pressure David or make him feel guilty for breaking up with his sister. I had forgotten that David was worried about those black army helicopters! lol Glad he was able to meditate them away. Wonder why he thinks therapists wouldn't like him meditating. Too much like union workers -- too funny! i would think the therapists would tell David it's a good thing to be able to meditate. Wish i knew how to do that. I'd love to have my own Derek Jeter or Joseph Heller. And yet another chapter to make me hungry. Luckily I don't particularly care for veal, so not that hungry! lol But you know Ginny wants David to eat healthy, and she's doing an awesome job in teaching him how to cool healthy, but wouldn't steaming the broccoli be healthier than nuking it? Don't most of the nutrients remain in the vegetable when it's steamed as opposed to nuking it or even cooking it in a pot of boiling water like my mom used to do?
  7. Is that what they're calling it these days, huh? Lol, Nick! I don't think they'll be much 'talking' going on!!! hehe

    The Sock Drawer

I forgot to mention this in my review for chapter 15: It's the last line that changes the whole meaning of the poem. For me at least. Instead of let's say the two people being fuck buddies or hook-ups, it's the last line of the poem that makes the distinction between a fb to a lover. It's just so beautiful. This is a poem I can read over and over again and never get tired of it. I'm just in awe of your talent, Doc. =)

    The Dark Red

Holy shit, Doc, this is simply beautiful. What the narrator would do to get his girl back. But you hit the nail on the head with the feelings of hate and resentment and how our hearts turn away when the only feelings they have are hate. I could read this over and over again. It really hit home. Brought back a lot of bad memories, so thank you for that. Don't take that the wrong way, please, sometimes it's nice to know you're not alone in your feelings. (Did that make sense? lol)
  10. Definitely not juvenile, Doc. Then ending brought me to tears, so it's a definite A+++++++ in my book. I loved it!

    Bliss in 2007

Beautiful imagery, Doc. I read this a few times; I really enjoyed it. Oh, I think Norma Jean is w/o the 'e' on the end.
  12. Awww, the poor bunny, buried in the snow. So sad. Great Haikus, Drew.
  13. Terrific, Drew! I could hear the wind singing in different tunes, and I could picture a sleeping cat or dog on the bed. Great job!
  14. That was great, Drew! Made me laugh -- Dear Santa... that was a funny touch. Seriously though, maybe for Valentine's Day cupid will bring you a man only in his undies...lying in your bed...
  15. Great poem, Drew! Wonderful imagery.

    50th Birthday

Great prompt story, Carlos! Hopefully his 50th will be the best year yet!
  17. Awwww, Emi, I'm sorry you sound so down. Here's a bunch of hugs and kisses from me (Puppi is right; like friends, you can never have enough hugs!).  and I hope you feel better soon, Emi. It's not fun being depressed. I had a whole lot more hugs and kisses, but I guess I had too many and had to cut back. Sorry!
  18. Clueless Camping. lol I have sooooo many chapters to catch up on! I don't think I even read ANY of Tim's prompts!

    Back

I picture a scared little kid watching other kids play in the playground or at recess. He wants to join them and be part of a group, laughing and having fun with the other kids, but his anxiety (or shyness) is keeping him away, in the shadows, in his blackness. It was a very sad poem, Addy, but maybe I'm just reading too much into it.

    Rainbow I

How did I miss this one, Addy? I LOVED it!!! Like Gary, I felt the colors also. It was a very cool poem.
  21. I always like stories that make history less boring than what you learn in school! lol
  22. I need more hours in the day! I still have YOUR story to finish, Tim! lol
  23. I love the way Addy and AC write. I have enjoyed every single story or poem I have read of theirs. They both have a beautiful way with words and writing descriptions and feelings. I've never read any of Mark's stories yet, so I do have to get on the bandwagon. I know he has a big following, and he's a great author, so wth am I waiting for? These were great interviews, Dark!
  24. Drew, definitely read this story. You won't regret it. It has everything: comedy, drama, food, awesomely handsome guys, great family, and beautiful scenery. But I think the best part of the story is the love that flows through it (does that make sense?).
  25. What an emotional chapter, Skinny! I think I need to buy stock in Kleenex if these chapters are going to continue to be so emotional! Ginny knew all along she was going to sic David on Twoey and make him tell her son the truth. She knew David needed this type of catharsis in order for him to face a few things about himself. Tommy is one of the best bros I've ever read about! The only adult in David's life who could threaten him with abandonment would be Tommy's mother. What a witch she is! Going over to Danny's house with that Bible thumper Enos Johnson to exorcise the demons from the house. What a crock of shit! I can picture her spinning her head around, puking up green bile. Let's just get Linda Blair to take over; she'd do a much better job than Tommy's mother! Besides, Dad and Gramps wouldn't allow Tommy's mother to kick David out of the house. I think SHE'D be the one they'd kick out!! Twoey's now on the road to recovery -- mentally and physically, but David's self-controlled world is quickly unraveling. At least Twoey, Ginny, his friends, his brother (sister? Who knows what she thinks), Dad and Gramps are on his side. He has more support than he knows. Excellent chapter, Skinny!
