Angel -- I don't know how I missed the rest of your poems! I'm sorry!! This poem was definitely tragic. In fact, no offense to your writing because it is terrific, I did like Tim's ending better; it's definitely more effective leaving off the last 'ended'. Your writing is beautiful, and your poems always evoke strong emotions in me. I just wanted to point out some spelling errors in case you wanted to go back and fix them: 'thought's', 'seem's', and 'lesson's' don't take and apostrophe, but 'lifes' does. The words should be written: thoughts, seems, lessons, and life's because the first three words are plural, not possessive and not contractions, so there are no apostrophes. 'Life's' takes the apostrophe because it's a possessive word, in the case of your poem, 'lessons'' belongs to 'life's', as in 'life's lessons'. The same as Angel's poems -- the poems belong to Angel. Also, with 'problems to great, life to short', the 'to' should be 'too'. Anyway, sorry for pointing these out, but even though the poem is wonderful, it'll read better with the proper spelling. =)

Loved the line about Martin: '...If he's not to tired, or with someone else, or still being straight...' That was pretty funny! And VERY surprising! I had no idea about Martin. He does seem really tuned into his gay side though, unless Matty just brings that side out in him! The kid in back of David is starting to annoy me too - what is WITH him anyway? lol And Twoey - it's great he's starting to eat solids and off the catheter. His body will mend way before his mind will when he finds out the truth.

One part of Parker's review confused me; he said Tommy's mother was David's stepmother, and what did David's dad see in her...Tommy's mother is his and Liz's mother too, right? I thought that's why the whole "Tommy's mother" thing was so funny -- because she's HIS mother also, he just doesn't want to acknowledge her as his mother. Anyway...Ginny is great! Homemade sauce and David didn't even know people could DO that! lol And yuck -- Ragu! It's way too sweet. Prego's the way to go! lol But yeah, how can you fuck up spaghetti and meatballs? And no frozen meatballs - ya gotta make them yourself -- lazy Tommy's mom! I'm glad David is branching out and making friends with other people. Mattie would be a good friend to have even though he can't keep his hands off of David! lol I'm thrilled Twoey's feeling better, and his headaches are all gone now. He's going to be beside himself when he figures out his 'impression' of Danny is correct.

Hmm, Skinny, your last line of your response to CG's review got me thinking. I guess I always assumed everyone but Tommy's mother found the food horrible and inedible. But maybe it is just David. Maybe since he's always pissed at Tommy's mother (and rightly so!), subconsciously he can't eat the food, and his mind just creates the impression that the food is always awful. Does that make sense? It's a little late, and my brain is fried. lol And what the hell is Tommy's mother looking for in David's room anyway? So now Kathy tells David she loves him. Who are the other boys she loves? haha Thank GOD David didn't say I love you back! Omg, I'm actually surprised he didn't. But now he's going to the movies with Kathy AND Lanni (and maybe Deena). Lanni kissed him at the dance. Will she try something there with Kathy watching? Will Kathy get jealous? Will LANNI get jealous? hehe Oh! I know!!! Kathy and Lanni should get together, and then David will be free from all girls! I'm worried about Twoey. Thank God he's feeling better, but I don't think he's going to handle the information about Danny very well. I wonder if that night will come back to him a little at a time, or all at once when he finds out about Danny. Love his hate relationship with Burch! What's with that guy anyway? He's pretty creepy! Oh, and why is it that David's sister and father don't talk to him at dinner? Even Tommy's mother. And you'd be sure that if any of my kids stopped talking to me, we'd be out that door headed to the shrink's office ASAP! What the hell is wrong with her that she's ok with her child not speaking to her?

Ah! I'm so relieved Twoey's head pains were only from the positioning of his head and neck! That was an easy fix, thank God! So happy Ginny wants to see David's food requirements. Maybe she'll start teaching him how to cook them. Matty was a surprise! lol He thinks David's warming up to him? hehe Poor, poor Matty. And Sam certainly knows everything, doesn't he? lol What was with the cryptic thing Gary said about Kathy? He said something like this isn't the time to ignore her to David. Why? What would she do if David ignored her?

Hey, C! I loved this prompt also! : I was going to mention the dialogue punctuation, but Cia beat me to it. lol Definitely check out the forum topic because it will be very helpful. You might even want to go back and fix the commas that should be periods after the dialogue. I look forward to your next prompt, C!

Dammit! I had a whole review, the entire thing all done, and I accidentally hit the friggen' backspace key and BOOM! The review is gone! Shit. Ok, Reader's Digest version: I'm gonna piggyback on Defiance's review; I think David's dad needs to grow a pair and tell his wife, in no uncertain terms, to STFU already with this Pastor Schmaster Enos Penos (close enough! ) Johnson Schmonson bullshit. Why is he letting Tommy's mother rule the roost anyway? CONGRATS to David for making varsity!!! Way to go, David!!! This outer-world connection David, Gary, Twoey, and Derek Jeter (LOL!!!) have is pretty wild. I hope Derek Jeter can do whatever he's supposed to be doing to help Twoey. I know Ginny believes her son's mind connection with David is pretty strong; I'm sure she'll mention Twoey's skull to the doctors and question whether it can have anything to do with his head pain. Another excellent chapter, Skinny!

Wow, that was terrifying! Poor Jason. I think he's gonna need that whole bottle of bourbon! lol I have no doubt Mr. Petrifying (Mr. P for short - works on both names! ), will find Shane's attackers and make them suffer greatly, right before he has them killed by Ramon. Oh, speaking of Ramon, is it Ramon or Ramone? There were a few instances where his name was written 'Ramone'. And boy did Mr. P do his homework on Jason! He knew his whole life story! Scary mf. I'm anxiously waiting for more, Mitch! It will be interesting to hear Jason's answers to Mr. P's questions.

I thought this was great! I'm not a very deep person, so I had to read the poem a few times for it to finally click! Unfortunately, I don't really know Drew, so unless the 'We' in your poem stands for you and Drew, and God (?) stands for 'He', God put you two together, and despite all the haters out there, your love will conquer all! Wow, that was one long, run-on sentence. lol Or, maybe 'He' doesn't stand for God, but Drew himself. Maybe Drew played matchmaker, and introduced you to your eternal love. Of course I'm probably way off base with both of these! And now of course I remembered you wanted a PM. Shit.

I agree with Puppi; Senti will be perfect for Morgan. He will have a puppy that he's responsible for, and he will need to focus on him and take care of him. Hopefully Senti will get him to start feeling again. And if Senti doesn't work out for Morgan, have him send the puppy my way!

Luke is one of the most vile people I have read about. Unfortunately, religious zealot pedos like him do exist. He's despicable. As is Ezra's sperm donor. He claims he loves his son and smiles and lets him eat dinner, but then in the next breath he's threatening to punish him and send him away to some idiotic camp. Ezra is not going to fare well if that child molester Luke is "watching over him" for the week his sperm donor is gone. I hope that Joshua takes Ezra home from now on and maybe he can get a glimpse of his sad life and do something about it. Great chapter, Robin! I really didn't want to hit the 'like' button; I only did it because the chapter was so well written, not for the content.

You know, Rusty, I'm so dense! It took me 14 chapters to realize 'Casey' the character has the same name as 'KC'!! lol I always think of KC as K and then C, but I think of Casey, as Casey, all one word. Weird, huh? Anyway...great chapter! I was a bit taken aback with the 'Sara being sick' and 'sorta seeing Sara' part. Plus I thought Sara was his lab partner, not Karen. I guess I was thinking at the end of the last chapter where James and Casey were sorta spooning when they stayed over Sam's house, that this chapter would have to do with them, so I was sort of thrown for a loop reading about Casey seeing Sara. Also, at the beginning of the chapter Sam mentioned that Casey's a junior, and he has to go to the appreciation dinner. He also said it's good Casey has his license. I know kids in different states get their licenses at varying ages, here in CT it's 16, where I'm from in Jersey, it's 17...I thought Casey was 15: 'Sure, his name is Casey Donovan. I don’t know his dad’s first name. They just moved from Taylor…. He’s fifteen….' That excerpt is from chapter 4 when James is trying to find out where Casey lives. Now unless Casey's extremely smart, he wouldn't be a junior at 15; he'd be a freshman, or at the latest, a sophomore. Hence my confusion. =)

@Tim: See, Tim, you're an inspiration to everyone! Caz - beautiful poem. I love the way no matter what the other person does to the narrator, the narrator will always be there for him/her. Just beautiful.

I thought that was so special when Twoey wanted David to have Mike's half of the dollar. He should feel honored. Why didn't David text Martin back? I'm dyin' to know what he meant. Kathy was probably flirting with him when they were dancing, maybe even making lewd suggestions! Maybe she's really a ho! Tommy's mother (why isn't she Tommy AND Liz's mother?? lol), is despicable! She and Enos the Pastor should run away together. lol David's dad can do so much better!

Reading CG and Zarek's comments, I understand where they're coming from. For me though, I wouldn't call Matt a total bastard. lol I think he's confused about his feelings, and he's just doing things without giving much thought to them or the consequences. He is a hypocrite; he told Andy it wouldn't be right for Andy to go after Colt because after all, Colt's ex-boyfriend, Thomas, is a friend of theirs. And that would be breaking the bro-code, right? He tells Andy the foursome was so exciting for him, he doesn't think he'll be happy with having sex with just Andy from now on; now he wants more than twosomes. Yet, he has no problem having sex with Colt alone, contradicting what he told Andy and breaking the bro-code. I think he's thinking too much with his little head and not his big head. Or vice-versa, whichever is appropriate. lol I'm just assuming his dick is his little head. lol I'm curious to find out what Doc Walker has to say to Andy when he comes back from the bathroom.

Like Bubby, my tears are getting in the way of seeing my screen too. This was such a beautiful tribute to your beloved dog Pepsi. She was so lucky that first day you stopped by the shelter. You were both lucky you had each other for ten wonderful years. My beloved yellow lab, Jessie, died suddenly on Halloween. We didn't even know she was sick. The pain of losing a pet is awful, but knowing Jessie had so much love and gave it back tenfold, helps me somewhat in dealing with her loss. May Pepsi's loving memories help you when you think of her. Beautiful writing, Jack.
