You've set the bar with this chapter, and hooked a whole bunch of us, hook, line, and sinker.... I have to assume the car was a total loss, yet the following has me wondering if possibly Trooper Kincaid may go back to the wreck and do a more thorough search... Panic rose, a choking panic, worse than the smoke. But then, somehow, it turned to something else. Strength. A surge of it, raw and desperate. My thumb slammed the seatbelt release one more time and this time, it clicked. Before I could fall, something slipped free from my jacket pocket, brushing past my hand on the way down. It hit the door beneath me with a dull clink. Small. Metal. I didn’t know what it was, but something in me did. A flicker of importance sparked in the back of my mind...'that thing matters', a voice whispered. But the fire roared louder.

Why don't Tigath and Dorjin open a portal to the obelisk and have the 'earth' destroy it like it did in the other building???

It comes down to that both Mac and Devin are considered adults, no matter what form they may take for whatever reason. My thoughts are similar to Mac's, there can be no sexual contact, between Clint, Mac, and Devin....The age difference, notwithstanding the legalities, is to me the biggest impediment. I may be an outlier on this subject, but any sexual contact/action between the boys and Clint is simply wrong.

I wonder if Dante will help with the social media, it could be a good role for him...that and the news he is a Saphire is bound to create some sort of ruckus... The following gives me pause.... The lead-gray sky matched Dante's mood. The shopping trip had been focused but fun and the grilled sandwiches for the late lunch heavenly, but the realization that he felt for Mistress Alice in ways he'd better not was weighing on his mind.

We look to be in for one heck of a ride....speaking of which, I have to assume most of this takes place before Killian gets his license to drive...also we know that no fictional characters were harmed by Killian in this story!!!

A powerfully sad chapter, one that resonates very deeply. Those of us of a certain age remember the frustration as we watched so many dear friends and lovers pass away. And yet the frustration that so many needlessly died from government and medical inaction, and the lack of serious action. In my mind, there will always be a special place in Hell for the Reverend Jerry Falwell and Anita Bryant...
