I've always thought of the time between the Christmas and New Years holidays as a precursor to the infamous 'shoulder season' that will be upon us in a couple of months..."Mud Season" which brings all sorts of wonders and delights for an outdoors person such as myself...As with friends, relatives, and guests, some days are bright and sunny and other days are cloudy and grumpy... The gifts I treasured most this year as in the previous years are the ones that were homemade, from jams/jellies, breads, cakes/cookies, and most important were the gifts of time....I confess that my shopping for the holiday is nearly complete by July 4th. I learned that in buying and wrapping presents so early, the most important thing to do is to ensure the label is affixed securely before tucking them away in the closet, there will be no repeats of scratching my head several months later, wondering what, why and who in the heck did I buy this for??? Uncle and Aunt Amazon takes care of what I might have forgotten. I learned quite some time ago that my sense of style and fashion precludes the passing of the dinosaurs' and is nearly extinct...a sad commentary for a gay man...to be bereft of the fashion/style genes...But I digress, and all is saved, and my dignity remains intact when I hand/email out those ever so easy to purchase gift cards...even better the number of stamps I save.... I wish all of you much success, health, and everlasting friendships in the coming New Year!!!

Channeling my inner @Summerabbacat, while never claiming to be a fashion maven, I had to chuckle at the description of Brandi.... Brandi smiled and waved before she pulled up her sequined mask. She was rather pretty in a call-girl sort of way. I could see she was dressed down a little today. She wore spray-on jeans with rhinestones along the outside seams of the legs, a white sleeveless vee-neck tee shirt that was thin enough so I could see the bra underneath and deep enough that the cleavage was as long as Alan’s ass-crack. I'm on Team Jordan; Alan needs to start boinking Miss Brandi Asap!!!! Can't wait to see the sparks fly if they end up working together.... One was the attractive manager who had made our box lunches for our trip to Jemez Springs. I made a point of thanking him once again for treating us so well with the lunches. He reminded me the dining hall was closing after lunch the next day. “What will you be doing after this is closed?” I wondered. “I’m not sure yet,” he said a bit sadly. “I’m looking for a restaurant or caterer job but almost everything is closed or severely cut back, so it doesn’t look good. I have talked to the facilities department here on campus about going onto a lawncare crew. They usually add positions in April as we move into the busier growing season.” “Really? I’ve been thinking about trying to get on a crew, too. I need to find a job to pay for a place to live through the summer.” “Well,” he said a little more energetically, “call facilities. They do have some openings starting April 1, I think. It would be fun if we were on the same crew.” The epitome of fine dining whilst at college...Tater Tots should be a food group all by itself....and cherry pie for dessert...heaven!!!! We didn’t go into the building. Instead, we went directly to the dining hall for a bare-bones dinner of tossed salad, tomato soup, beans and wieners, tater tots, and green beans. For dessert, there were cherry pie slices.

I found this to be a sad story....

I have very little sympathy for either Amanda or Tanner, also what about the fu@kwad sperm donor who married Amanda, Has he passed to his eternal, very hot resting place? No chance at purgatory for that A-Hole... Tanner needs help as does his sisters, not sure if there are enough years left for any of them for therapy to do any good...

While not trying to be mercenary, I believe that in taking the twin boys, assuming care for them when the Don passes, that the foundation Roger and his sons are building will be further strengthened financially. Jasper is very much in the mold of his brother Oli....and he will be a formidable ally as well.... That Melissa's father had an epiphany is heartening, and I suspect the foundation grows even stronger.... Thank you for this installment of Charlie Boone's series, and as expected it does not disappoint, while I will look at squirrels a bit differently, this new squish will most certainly lead to further adventures, and I for one, look forward to more!!!

It is the ability to emotionally connect with another person(s) on an emotional level, to feel another's emotions and react accordingly...the ability to have and show demonstrative feelings.

It was something we saw coming against all hope...Ellen's parents are truly a matched pair with serious empathy issues, and if I read the chapter correctly, the sperm donor was another useless twat.... That the boys will make great parents is not/never in doubt.... it's gonna be a fun ride watching them adjust to the new realities... RIP Ellen....

I suspect some rough patches to navigate ahead...

Then the Jack of Spades just rewards should be prison justice at the hands of the inmates...
