It's not so much the lack of understanding 'property'...it is the damage they can cause and the filth they leave behind. I know of one family who lost their home, barely escaping with their lives as squirrel caused damage to their house caused a fire...I see squirrels as rats with fuzzy tails...

Grrrrr....Squirrels....Found a couple of them having chewed holes in the siding of my 1830's farmhouse that I purchased a few months ago...talking with some well-respected old-timers as to how to humanely deal with the problem, I believe they gave me a tried-and-true method, involving some stainless-steel scrub pads, some expanding foam sealant and an air horn... Placing the airhorn next to the wall/ceiling I could hear them chewing away, certainly got their attention, the stainless-steel Brillo like pad and the Great Stuff made short work of the squirrel highway exit ramp into my house...Next on my list of anti-squirrel measures....

It's just so much easier to pop a tab on a can or cap on a bottle of your favorite beverage, for me after the first sip or two, my illiterate tastebuds are comfortably numb like the holder of the beverage...I mean how difficult can it be when wine now comes in cardboard boxes....

I had to chuckle at the following....and another fantastic chapter!!! During the festivities, I was approached by the American Santa and the rest of the Santa Brigade, as I call them. “Your Majesty.” He said as he bowed to me. “Since your Christmas Wish came true. Do you believe in Santa Claus now?” Which made me laugh. My halfhearted wish was to find someone that would love me with all my problems and warts… and I did. “Yes Santa. I think I can.” I said as all the Santas smiled. “Now. About that train set I never got when I was 7. Can we exchange it for railroad stock?” I asked humorously, and they all laughed.

We truly need a "Geroan" emoji for these chapters...just sayin.... I suspect the following word/phrase came from Geon's book of expensive words.... what such a bit of antimetabole could mean. The first song from the choir was hauntingly beautiful and the imagery was stunning... .

This chapter had it all but the renovated kitchen sink....as @Philippe commented on the bond betwixt a boy and his dog, I wholeheartedly concur. I was most likely around 11 or 12 when Thunder came into my life. Half black lab and half German Sheppard. We grew up together and was the best companion I could have asked for... Like many, I have hopes for Drew's father pulling his head out of his ass, or will it be Mickey using his formidable legal skills saving the firm from the clutches of the step-witch and her mentally deficient, troglodyte sons.... Mickey's mother will be cared for and looked after as she enjoys this family growing in numbers, I truly believe she will make a great grandmother... Simply loved this chapter...
