I can't say it any better than the comments above. I had thought and still believe that Elisabetta may have had a few redeeming qualities somewhere deep inside her. In the end no matter how she viewed herself, she made the choice to remove the Cosmo's decision to jump. I believe that along with Luca's plea she saw he had a chance. It is a shame and everyone's loss that she could not see it for herself. I'm not sure I can say this correctly and apologize in advance, there are only so many times you can abuse, torture, and denigrate anything or anybody before they turn feral. I've witnessed what happens when a pet or a person is pushed over the edge, when all that is left of existence is fear and pain. I had to choose angry as my reaction, I'm angry that others are responsible for who/what Betta became. While I know life is never fair or easy, the loss of anyone diminishes us all. As with others, I think this is your finest chapter, a brilliant example of your craft and wordsmithing.

More to the point...is the world ready for any of this??? How soon before some miscreants start calling him the spawn of Satan???

Humm...well now, time for another chapter methinks... Honi soit qui mal y pense - Wikipedia Honi soit qui mal y pense is a maxim in the Anglo-Norman language, a dialect of Old Norman French spoken by the medieval ruling class in England, meaning "shamed be whoever thinks ill of it", usually translated as "shame on anyone who thinks evil of it". It is the motto of the British chivalric Order of the Garter,

The intriguing Mr Heyward
drsawzall commented on Robert Hugill's story chapter in The intriguing Mr Heyward
They never miss much...do they??? Mother had lifted an eyebrow and simply said, ‘who is he?’. She knew me well enough to know that there weren’t lots of guys wandering through my portals. And now she wanted to meet him. -
Ah...another form of omission, no you krazy korner denziens, not the nocturnal type... “I begin to see that truth is only a level of omission, Minister.” “Jamie, that is one of the cleverest things I have ever heard you say. I am proud of you!”

Had to post this thought before reading any other comments...where and how does the Minister for/from Wanking use this unique ability...and to what ends????

Might this then explain the appearance of the Dreader in the last chapter?

Has/did Thomas finally find his big boy pants? For god's sake finish that conversation....

St. Vincent and the Letter
drsawzall commented on Mark Arbour's story chapter in St. Vincent and the Letter
St Vincent I believe is beginning to see that crossing Grainger comes at his own peril and Chalmers just may be in for a very rude awakening...and lastly we have come to see Grainger engage in another battle, one where he has a superior, tactical position...- 44 comments

Chapter 13 - Volcanologists
drsawzall commented on Adam Andrews Johnson's story chapter in Chapter 13 - Volcanologists
For something so necessary for the continuation of their mission, it is surprising everyone they met on this volcanic world, considers Parstiline to be junk...will this be the way with the rest of the items they need??? It makes one wonder what the intrinsic value is.... -

Sudden Death - Too Young (2)
drsawzall commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Sudden Death - Too Young (2)
Thank goodness Richard sought out help for his depression -
I have to disagree with the thought behind this comment. As @drpaladin has noted he 'owes' Elisabetta exactly nothing. I can't condone the thought he's a snitch either. Someone harms my family; you can bet any information I had about the act would be communicated to the relevant authorities... As to love, that's a bit more difficult to ascribe to any of the boys. There has been a spark between Marco and Giorgio from the beginning, and at the same time, while both Marco and Cosmo knowing each other is gay, both realize any sort of romance between either of them is going nowhere. It simply isn't in the cards...I see Marco and Giorgio as two lonely souls who have found a nascent connection. it's early days for the two of them, it will be interesting to see where this budding connection goes and grows... I also want to say I appreciate your comment, it made me pause a bit and rethink my thoughts and feelings, for that I thank you!!!

Yes indeed...he had two speaking roles back just after Toto and Michele vanquished the dinosaurs that were threatening Ravello...how's that for an eidetic memory....oh...or was it space aliens???

I'm going with a nightmare, and it is time to make tracks back to a certain hut in that swamp and see if the witch can also cure Nathan of his nightmare...

Peter has jumped from the proverbial frying pan into the fire so to speak. It will be interesting to see how the baseball conditioning and tryouts go and if Coach is as good as his word...While I can't remember, thanks old age, all the details...I get the feeling Carl isn't giving up and will do something to improve his odds...
