I loved this freaking chapter...I wasn't sure about Liam but now that he has crossed the gay Rubicon I am looking forward to the next chapter, I am hoping the spare bedroom becomes available for Mike's mother as she recovers from her chemo... Now...I have to wonder...just what does a squirrel sound when he busts a nut????

Truly an idyllic pastoral setting and a perfect place to grow up!!!

Our little mouse Marco, and I have had to realize my distaste for him, has faded away, is flush with all the issues that come with puberty. When days are long and thoughts of where one belongs are longer, it is very difficult to see the trees for the forest... Marco is wise beyond his years, as with his drawings, he is very perceptive, if understandably lacking in self-confidence. One hopes he can find the patience, that love might come knocking on his door soon, and perhaps...just somehow...a proper outlet for his talents, finds him!!!

Meetings, Meetings, and More Meetings
drsawzall commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in Meetings, Meetings, and More Meetings
Not sure how I want to respond to this but to say your understanding, at least going back to the facts on the ground in 1978 are so freaking off base... I had/lost a boyfriend who thought a stint in Uncle Sams army would convince his family he was, for the lack of better words...Normal...needless to say, we had long discussions over this decision...he thought once his term of service was over, there wouldn't any of those 'awkward family discussions'...life for us would be glorious... He lost his life in a high-speed accident on the autobahn, one that could have been avoided...he was licensed... and followed the rules...the other driver was found to be at fault, and he was licensed...and because of stupidity...as a native while he was licensed to drive, it just was a stupid decision made at the wrong time... You've made an assumption that simply does not hold water.... -

The old adage that, "No good deed goes unpunished" certainly applies to Fred here!!! Why do I think Sebastian isn't going down quietly..... -
Glad to see both Nathan and Brohm understand each other a bit better and see the issues they need to work on...it is critical that Nathan get to the bottom of what is causing his nightmares...

As seminal chapters go, this was simply spot on...what a treat to see the growth of all so aptly demonstrated in their successes!!- 17 comments

And the portfolio keeps growing, I suspect when the owner of Fountain House realize he's lost most of his staff, he will be a tad easier to deal with and amenable to meeting the offered price!!! Looking forward to the next!!

Then how would you explain Jamie's first encounter with the Minister for/from Wanking and the specter, or the second one??? I agree it would be just the plot twist, but then why go through all of the above, the training etc.??? Unless...humm...it is to fully develop Jamie's powers for further nefarious purposes....

A Trip, a Mountain, and a Reprimand
drsawzall commented on Lee Wilson's story chapter in A Trip, a Mountain, and a Reprimand
I had a @weinerdog moment or a possible epiphany or plot twist, when I read the following thinking their little deception prior might come back to bite Fred and Mo in the backside... "Mr. Faines, take him to one of the min-sec holding cells until I'm finished with Mr. Jamers, and then return here." Faines went bug-eyed, "I thought he looked familiar." Without hiding his sarcasm, "You clean up nice, Jamers. Follow me, Mr. Wallingford." I don't think Fred ratted anyone out in his conversation with Conrad @Zuri, it was his duty in that conversation to impart everything the AC required and actions they would take and actions required by the law firm...That Sebastian failed to do so speaks volumes as to, character and abilities as a major player in the firm. Quite frankly it shows/reflects poorly and bad judgement. This is proven by the situation that the firm now finds itself in...Not to mention the huge loss of billable hours....- 16 comments

Here's hoping that the air is cleared, and the relationship can now move forward, let's not forget the king may be in danger...

Calvin isn't doing himself any favors, while Charlie had a gun, it was very quickly rendered inert and should not pose a problem if brought up in court...what is Calvin after, it has to have intrinsic value for him to continue on with this charade... Loved the humor in the following... “If you need extra blankets and pillows, they're in the closet.” “James can get them,” Quinton said. “Why me? Why can't you get them?” “I don't ever want to go back in the closet again.” Everyone booed and hit him with pillows. “Goodnight,” Diego said, after hugging Caleb. “Goodnight, Daddy!” All the boys said in unison, causing Diego to blush and Steve to laugh loudly from the next room. Like you @weinerdog my first thought Calvin crapped his pants...shame it wasn't so...

Chapter Nineteen: Solstice
drsawzall commented on drown's story chapter in Chapter Nineteen: Solstice
Never underestimate the power of a strong willed mother... “Luis. Shut the fuck up,” she said, her voice an authority. What was this dynamic? What the hell? And then my mother, Luna Cassandra Belcore, magnificent and strong, with a clear gaze and bright eyes that I had never seen before, did something completely unexpected. This woman, who gave birth to me, but that I never felt tethered to, slowly got down on one knee, and bared her neck toward me. Toward us. -
What will happen to Charlie's state of mind if they manage kill the whale or Father gets him out of there???

About halfway to the end and the two of them are drawing closer and closer...what will it portend as they reach the end of the pass...once there I suspect their troubles won't be over...

One hopes it is confined only to the younger sister....

While we are no closer to the who, what and why...it is good to see Jamie better explain what is going on...up to a point. I still fear that Mike is somehow be deeper involved in this supernatural imbroglio, possibly to his detriment... So Jamie was out of action for nearly a minute or so, and the Minister for/from Wanking stayed by his side...what I find intriguing is that on a whim or as needed these specters seem to appear in numbers to complete the task and ensure the getaway...It would lead me to believe that whoever is controlling these things seems to have constant intel on the goings on...again...who...what...where...and how????
