Thank you for this update. I will hold off reading When I See You Again until you are finished with it! -
So...these folks would prefer the Orcs invading their lives???? What could he say? Jack was a virile disease; his enthusiasm was contagious. Down the road they drove, past people going about their business, past people who glanced their way curiously, past people who shot murderous glares at these soldiers invading their lives. RIP Jack Hill...

Michael's Result and a Quiet Late Summer

It will be interesting to see how well Michael's swimming takes him... Show and tell, along with other boys' games, have been around forever... I never would have graduated.... -
Thanks for reading 😀 Oh...wait....that's your line... Loved this story!!! Like others, if I see Georgie Porgie crossing the street, I might 'accidentally' step on the gas instead of the brake!!!

Looks to be one very special night, and that's before eating, and let's not forget the swimming....

This is so damned true, and reminded me of a great quote by Dorothy Parker, an aserbic critic... You can lead a horticulture, but you can't make her think. Parker's answer when asked to use the word horticulture during a game of Can-You-Give-Me-A-Sentence?, as quoted in You Might as well Live by John Keats (1970). Dorothy Parker - Wikiquote

Nope, nada, no way..at all am I going to make any guesses....the killer is still out there... Then there's this... "Alright, Mr. Kendall. Your story checked out, and several good men have vouched for you. I should be charging you on various counts, but since you have a clean record — and some of your friends called in some favors — we're going to let you go with a very stern warning. If I ever catch you interfering with police business again, or even hear that you've gotten in the way of an official investigation, you'll face serious charges." "I'm free to go?" I said, barely able to believe my luck. "You're free to go." "Thank you, Detective Rosen," I said sincerely, holding out my hand to shake. "You're welcome, Mr. Kendall. By all accounts, you're a good investigator, which doesn't begin to explain the monumental mess you nearly made of this case. Do you have any idea what kind of chaos you would have caused if you'd removed the Sheridan kid from the scene of the crime? Not to mention you tracked blood all over and you vomited in the trashcan. All that confusing evidence would have slowed down our investigation considerably. Besides all that, you would have made yourself a major suspect. Is any of what I'm saying getting through to you?" Never gonna happen, just like he'll continue his driving...keep your mothers and babies, safely on the sidewalks folks... "Yes, sir. I'm truly sorry. I won't be that stupid in the future, I promise."

NOOOOO!!@!@! I can't believe we've come to the end of this thoroughly enjoyable tale. Thank you for this... I will be sacrificing something on the BBQ grill today in hopes that my wishes, along with all of your faithful readers', come true and we see more of Russ, Brian, Gordon, and Toby sometime in the future!!! It's that or shamefully begging....

I had to go with anger, very angry with Lucy, and to borrow a word from @Summerabbacat, a cuntess supreme...As @weinerdog noted, we all thought Arthur was the one with the ginormous stick up his backside, Lucy's ain't no stick but the whole frigging branch!! I delighted in the following, nothing like the pot calling the kettle black, yes Lucy...looking in the mirror truly reveals the despicable person you truly are...a pathological serial abuser....what is it like to finally know you aren't any better than those you consider beneath you... “But before you do—just remember something. Nobody’s perfect. Not even you, Mother. If you were such a great role model, maybe you wouldn’t have divorced Dad. Maybe you would’ve looked in the mirror once or twice before pointing fingers at everyone else.”

How to come out intact when thrust into a pit of vipers and having those snakes acquiesce to your demands...this was a game of chess masterfully played using the Queen's gambit... For those who wish to understand Granger better, the following is instructive...Our Lordship knows and understands talent, and those capable of being true assets to the service, and for lack of better words, talent wasted, stuck out in the wilderness with little chance for advancement... “Thank you, gentlemen,” Daventry said, then stood up. They all shook hands, then Granger and Daventry got in the coach for the brief ride home. “I think it was noble that you asked nothing for yourself, but took care of your subordinates instead.” “I am making those demands for the good of the service,” Granger said in a crusty way, because he did not like to be lauded. “And we both know that is just so much rubbish,” Daventry said. “That is the reason your men would fight with you to the gates of hell, and why you are the best leader I have ever encountered.” “I think you are complimenting me because you want something,” Granger joked, to get them off that topic. “You are an even better leader than your admiral,” he said, referring to Nelson. “Nelson has no equal,” Granger objected, because he was in effect Granger’s hero. “He is an amazing man, but unlike you, he loves himself a bit too much,” Daventry said. He held up a hand to stop Granger from interrupting. “You know I am right, but you do not have to admit it.” Now, will Granger be back by September, or will fate have other plans? He will, after coming back, assess the state of the Spanish navy, and then, off to do battle with the dockyards!!!

Well, this was a chapter full of surprises, from Kate, to Dad and Mom, finally seeing past her misguided notions. Kudos to Dailan, his instincts proved him to be the right match for Creek! Happy turkey day all!

And now Wishbone.... To his just rewards... On screen, Captain Williams screeched as he was flayed alive.

We don't know that, which is why some things are best left to the professionals...If Jake's actions have endangered himself or anyone else, then it is on him to deal with the consequences of his 'adult' decisions and actions...

Why do I get the feeling this isn't over yet.... -
Because of Killian's impetuousness, he has now contaminated a crime scene. He needs to stop acting like a bull in a china shop...one of these days he's going to get someone hurt or worse...killed...he hasn't learned a thing. And let's not talk about the lives he endangered with his reckless driving...this hero/martyr complex is beyond comprehension....sometimes the hardest lesson of all to learn, is when to stop and leave it to the professionals. Imagine if he were a plumber...

No, no need for that...just impatient to see how getting Cody to the party plays out...What would be nice would be to see the boy's father bring Cody and stay for a bit...
