  1. Okay, so it's not outright payment because you list it as a payroll deduction.
  2. I saw the opthalmologist this morning. MRI results show no masses or signs of brain disease rather the lower eye muscles are in enlarged. As a result I cannot raise my eyes to a normal position. Likely cause, thyroid disease. I will begin a 28 day course of prednisone to hopefully reduce the inflammation. If that works I may be a candidate for a new medication to prevent a recurrence. The more worrisome thing is I seem to have developed glaucoma. After a brief improvement the pressure in my eyes was again as high as before I started treatment. I will be using two additional eye drops 3× a day in an effort to get things under control. Follow up in two weeks, a new sort of birthday celebration, hopefully one with good news.
  3. He requires payment.
  4. We're having unseasonably cool weather with Christmas Eve and day forecast to be at or below 40/4° for the high temp. That's cold even for the depths of winter because the lows are forecast to be below freezing for a few days.
  5. Didn't @Valkyrierefer to you as "Lickspittle"?
  6. Hmmmm, now there's something I hadn't considered.
  7. Just wanted you know I'm keeping an eye on you.
  8. Don't be mean to donkeys ... they can be cute, affectionate and adorable and they don't have hairy hobbit feet.
  9. Hi. I've had the mri and see the doc on Tues to discuss findings. The condition of my left eye is becoming worse. I have double vision when I look at anything beyond ~8 feet. Driving is becoming problematic as unless I close the left eye I have a ghost image of the road rising at a 30° angle above the horizon. I spend a lot of time with the left eye closed relying on my dominant right eye to see.
  10. And yet you keep coming back for more ...
  11. And life goes on ...

Awwww, just when I was getting my sea legs the voyage is over. Really enjoyed the focus on the family in this installment. That's where it started and now after a bit of time and growth it was fun to engage in an Abelló-Davenport Family experience.
  13. Because the fries lend value to that equation .
  14. Also, if the second person ate that burger and four bags of fries without a drink they're looking for a water fountain.
  15. I disagree. The values are wrong. Fries are worth more than a soda, even if said soda is in a glass.
  16. You my dear are far too busy with studies and such for me to ask that you take on such a burden. @Valkyrie is willing to grant me this favor in response to my past care of her herd. Something about payback.
  17. I'm so sorry. We will pray for the best for all concerned.
  18. Hence putting Val in charge ...
  19. Even I can clearly see this one is ... MINE!
  20. Sorry you two, though I appreciate your enthusiastic support, I've left my herd under @Valkyrie's tender care.
  21. Thanks. Fortunately the migraines are minimal. Preliminary bloodwork for mri was acceptable. Now if I could get my vision sorted. Mum and I have been doing some holiday baking but that's been a day to day thing, more off than on. Blessed be y'all.
  22. I am unwell. Coping with migraine for three days has exhausted me. Plus I slept poorly last night. The migraine id compounded by an issue with my eyes. When I saw my optometrist in early October the pressure had increased considerably. I had an appt with mum's retina specialist. The pressure better but not good so additional medication was prescribed. The more concerning issue is my eyes do not line up nor will the rise above the midline. The left actually lowers. Having two different focal zones causes issues seeing clearly. I am fortunate that my eyes focus down as the majority of what look at is below midline. I compensate by tilting my head when I want look up. Unsure what the cause is. He doesn't think it was caused by a stroke. I wiil be having an MRI on the 14th to check for internal masses or mid-brain disease. Could also be thyroid related. Time will tell. I may not be here as often as it is difficult for me to focus clearly.
  23. It used to be God-Emperor of Texas and the Universe.
  24. I have been thoroughly enjoying these chapters as they provide a focus on the individual members of the family. Additionally, the teasers of events already lived but yet to be told have me patiently anticipating those books. Cabrales is my favorite among blue cheeses. I think it pairs particularly well with ripe pears. Though sadly I have been unable to buy locally for several years.
