Dad's procedure went as hoped. He was only there 3 hours from arrival until we left to come home. Since he hadn't eaten since last evening they fed him what he described as a very good turkey sandwich and some cookies. We stopped on the way home for lunch so I could eat. He had a cup of chicken and rice soup. Thank you all for your thoughts and best wishes.

I expected as much. You remember when we were young, you'll likely need to think back to the last century ... you remember when tv was black and white, a spill like that would have been a minor annoyance. Luck has nothing to with it, sometimes you need to fall 3 or 4 times before you can find the soft stuff.

I'm leaving shortly to pick up my dad and take him to the hospital. He's having a procedure where they stop his heart and then let his pacemaker restart it. He had the pacemaker implanted last month but has been in afib recently. They did this once before in the spring before he had the pacemaker and it took 7 seconds until his heart restarted. Fingers crossed that things go better this time.

How are you feeling today? Able to get out of bed with out too many groans.

I just saw that 25% of the students in the county schools where mum lives are in quarantine. They've been in school less than 3 weeks.

Yesterday when I checked my bean patch I discovered a lot of new flowers and tiny beans forming. Looks like the recent rains have revived them for another crop.

I wish I could send you the rain that's falling here. At the moment we really don't need it. We're forecast to get 4-6+ inches from the remnants of Ida. Flood warnings have been posted for the river and streams in addition to flash flooding in low lying or poor drainage areas.

I think I need to find a new massage therapist. I've had three appts so far this month, scheduled every two weeks, each for a Tues. morning. The first one she texted and asked if would could move it back an hour because she was having an issue with her hand. I agreed, she was 30 minutes late. The next one she asked if we could reschedule to another day because that problem with her hand is a chronic issue and she'd "tweaked" it the previous weekend. We rescheduled for two days later on Thursday. She 20 minutes late. This morning she texted asking to reschedule because her husband is really sick and she feels she needs to stay with him. I have other appointments or obligations every other day this week but said I was available either Tues or Weds next week. That was over 30 minutes ago and I haven't had a response from her. She has been my therapist for almost 15 years. I like her but ...
