I liked that the lycan are explaining themselves more to Cyn such Shea mentioning love bites or Arric explaining but not making excuse for his growl. Cyn needs to be aware and understand their behavior. I remember as a teen smelling coffee perking over an open campfire and thinking it just had to be good. My parents and grandparents really most of the adults I knew drank their coffee black. Me, I like mine brewed strong with cream and sugar. I like my men the same, strong, sweet and no bitter edge.

G'day y'all warm, already 82/28° at 11am, and humid making it feel like 87/30°. This is more like mid-June rather that early May. The forecast says we could see storms again later today. Today would have been mum and my stepdad's 24th wedding anniversary. Twenty-fours later the only side effect from my second shot is a slightly sore arm. The migraine I'm blaming on the weather.

We're having a bit of a thunderstorm. First rain we've had in weeks. I think the April rainfall was under .5 of an inch. There was a brief period, ~5 minutes of rather large hail. Easily .5 inch in size.

We went out to the creperie for brekkie. Mum had a strawberry crepe, mine was asparagus and ham with a side of homefries.

I've done that minus the raisins. We also make what we call an apple dumpling by peeling and coring an apple filling it with a mixture of brown sugar, cinnamon and butter then wrapping the apple in a soft pastry crust. Those go in a baking dish along with leftover filling mixture before baking. They're eaten warm with milk or cream poured over or sometimes a scoop of ice cream. The same thing can be done with pears though that's less common.

I got my second covid shot this morning. It's been about 4 hours and no ill effect.

What no pears? When you say "cooker" what does that mean? It's not terminology I'm familiar with.

Wouldn't it have been easier just to buy figs? What are you gonna do with a tree?

That's the date for tender plants and seedlings back home in PA. However, cool weather crops like peas, potatoes, lettuce, spinach are frequently planted in late March. Here in SC are about a month ahead though I planted my sugar peas on the PA timeline. Next year I'll plant them earlier.

I've been picking a few sugarpeas, aka snowpeas or Chinese peapods, each day. I get between five and eight each time. Not too bad for only a three foot long row. I've been saving them for four days. We'll have them with dinner tonight.

I will say MacDougall was a bit disappointed that CJ didn't wear his. It's not a bloody wedding dress. He can wear it more than once.

G'day y'all. The day dawned warm and bright and slightly humid, we really could use some rain. Current temp is 64/18° with forcast to reach mid-70's/24°. We've running a bit above forecast so it may be warmer. However, because of the disparity between ocean water temp. and inland temp. we should have a moderate sea breeze to keep things comfortable. Blessed be.

Here in SC and back in PA we will have springtime grass fires. The warm sunshine, low humidity, spring winds and lack of forest cover lends itself to very dry ground cover that ignites easily and spreads quickly.
