  1. They packed me off early today. While helping fit a gentleman this afternoon I had diffculty doing up the belt for him and kept getting words twisted round. It was at that point I realized I needed to call it a day. On the way home I stopped and had a good dinner rather than needing to prep something once home.

  8. G'day y'all. It's was very warm, 76/24°, and muggy at 5:30 this morning when the pup and I went for our walk. We cut it a bit short, just over 2.25 miles instead of 2.75. I am not looking forward to the day at Faire. The temp for today is forecast to be near 90/32° with a heat index approaching 100/37°.

    Family Ties

The time was too short for their visit. I'm glad though that the both of you did the prompts together. The stories were funny, scary and heartwarming.
  11. Wow. That visit went by quickly. Thanks for all the tidbits this week. Now in response to this one ... more please.
  12. I'm glad you took part in the prompt. As already noted your take was very different from the others. It's those differences, the authors' personalities at work, that make reading them so enjoyable.
  13. It doesn't eat you with it's arms. It uses its big mouth to gobble you whole.
  14. It's just a snake with tiny legs.
  15. Your zucchini have squash blossom end rot. They need more calcium. Check the ph of your soil. If the soil is too acid you need to add lime. If the ph is okay add gypsum. I forgot to ask. Do your cherry tomatoes have flowers? The extreme heat may have kept them from setting fruit. Tomatoes don't produce fruit if the night time temp stays above 70/21°.

    Climate Change

You neglected to mention at which institution William/Liam is employeed. If you would kindly pm me that info. I would like to discuss his research. Independent corroberation is needed before he announces his theory. Oh, and I was correct. Fred is not a monster he's just a twit.
  24. Self-important expert is out standing in his field or he should be. One day Adam too will look at a young student and see himself and remember Bill's kindness. Paying it forward requires very little effort and reaps unanticipated rewards. Lovely little tale, thanks.
  25. How lucky you are. I'm off to read the prompts now.
