  1. And you thought you could do this with one functional arm? I fret over whether you'll truly behave as you ought bro.
  2. Three yolks is phenominal. We used to be able to buy a carton of double yoked eggs from a local farmer. He had a flock of hens with a genetic trait that would lay double yoked eggs about half the time. Those eggs were popular among the local plain folk who made homemade noodles.
  3. Well Bretagne historically had a strong Celtic population.
  4. No, NO, NO! Everyone knows the plaid lads are part of my herd. Give 'em back or I'll break out the bagpipes and since I can't play the bloody things it will be an awesome screeching and wailing.
  5. Mine, mine (he's gonna grow up to be a hottie) , mine and mine ... plus one for Thistle.
  6. What do they sell ... filet of turnip/neeps or perhaps rump roast of rutabaga/swede or an old favorite shank of zucchini?
  7. It's almost there now. It wasn't bad walking this morning. Since then I've extended a stone border ten feet and cleared weeds, relaid weed barrier and mulched a 6×12 section of my lower flower garden. Since it was in the sun and took about an hour and a half I've said enough for now. The pup and I are relaxing in the shade in the upper garden.
  8. Somehow I knew that comment was coming ...
  9. He's back to normal, thanks
  10. Our forecast is for 89/31° or hotter today. It's already 81/27° and I want to accomplish some yard work this morning.
  11. G'day y'all. Off for our morning walk before it gets too hot.
  12. Wait until you get the first electric bill. You might decide it doesn't need to be be quite so cold.
  13. I know a bit about that. I went through a woe is me gloom and doom period when I was forced to stop working. The way I was behaving you'd have thought I was some invalid who's life was over. Then I went through a couple of health scares that really could have been the end. Brought a bit of perspective to things. Am I living the life I would like? Oh hell no! Finances are a fraction what I made working but I'm getting by. I've learned you do what you can and when you can't, well you can't. While not what I'd have chosen my life could be far worse. So rather than focus on the things I don't have I try, operative word being try, to appreciate what I've got. Afterall, I've got all of you. Namasté my brothers and sisters.
  14. You could keep one another entertained ... I was going to say out of trouble but let's be honest that would never happen. Oh and mum would tell you to stop worrying about the worst case and focus on the positives you got going for you.
  15. So learning/knowing what's going on with the COPD could be a good thing. My stepdad typically only had problems when it was hot and humid. Yours seems more advanced but not without hope.
  16. May I be so bold as to ask how badly they have been impacting your life? I don't want you to think I'm making light of this but can you still do the majority of the things you want? Because of the migraines I understand living with chronic health issues that limit the things you do. Some days it is extremely frustrating but overall I believe it could be far worse. When you think beyond this news are you still able to do most of the things you want to do? My stepdad had COPD and it limited him sometimes. The thing that bothered him most was the limits it placed on his golf when it was hot and humid. Please don't think I'm trying to belittle this news. It's a nasty slap in the face but how much adjusting will you need to do that you haven't already done because you had to. I know news like this sucks but your feet are right where we want them, on the grassy side of the garden. Love you.
  17. That's great.
  18. They just invite the fellas in for an old-fashioned barn dance.
  19. G'day y'all. I don't think Thistle recovered fully. He quit half way through our walk this morning. Wasn't interested in his morning Greenie or breakfast. His nose and paws are cool. He's not bloated and doesn't mind me feeling around his tummy. No vomiting just out of sorts. I'll see how the day goes.
  20. When mine get bad I leave them out in the rain. Natty kindly cleans them for me.
  21. There will spring and autumn days when you'll be able to open those windows and enjoy the fresh air so it wasn't a foolish investment.
  22. I think teens have regional slang just as do the adults.
  23. I hear it here occasionally but not as much as before.
  24. If it's made with kumquats wouldn't it be kumquatade? That sounds delicious and dirty.
