G'day y'all. The heat and humidity have increased. High temps forecast in low 90's/33+° with tropical humidity making it feel closer to 100/37. Potential for heavy storms later today and overnight. Tomorrow to slightly less warm but the following 3/4 days are expected to be the hottest so far this summer with heat indices of 105/40+. Warnings have already been broadcast for the elderly and infirm. We had our early morning walk. Currently the pup and I are sitting in the yard enjoying the realtively pleasant morning having just shared a molasses cake for breakfast. Well my breakfast, second breakfast for the four-legged one who broke his fast on a bit of kibble with goat's milk yogurt before our walk.

The dewpoint jumped 9 degrees in less than five hours. It's currently 85/29° but feels like 89/30+. That's more than the high temp yesterday. Fortunately there is a bit of breeze so we're okay and Thistle has a bowl of ice water and I a large glass as well.

Lad never got in the water, just wandered around looking lovely. He always was a cute kid.

G'day y'all. Just back from our morning walk. Stopped at a local bakery on the way home and bought a pecan sticky bun for breakfast. According to the weather forecast hot humid summer weather is to return today. Ugh, the last couple of days were pleasant.

Okay, so I feel like a dirty old perv. One of the neighbor kids is out checking on their new pool. He's just wearing a pair of mesh basketball shorts. Let's just say he's very fit. It's not quite as bad as it might sound. He's a college student home for the summer. I can't remember but think he's 20. It's just I remember him as a little kid playing in their backyard ...

I'm doing okay thanks. I've been dealing with migraine the last 36 hours or so. More severe then I'd been having but not as bad as last weekend when I had to take the stronger meds to cope. My appt with the urologist went well. Things look good. My right kidney appears thinner than previous ultrasounds but then that is the one that took the brunt of the injury years when I went into kidney failure. Fortunately all of my bloodwork has shown their function to be stable and I have a nephrologist keeping tabs on things. I haven't had any bladder infections in the last couple years so I don't need to see the urologist again for two years.

Yeah but you'd be surprised how many folks will buy it, don't need to use real sugar either ...

G'day y'all. It's been pleasant so far this morning. Went for a walk at dawn then came home and did some weeding and mulching. Now we're just relaxing under the tree. The cicada are busy trying to attract mates. They're making more noise than the traffic. It's currently 77/25° With comfortable humidity. Forecast is for bright sunshine and temps in the upper 80's/30°. I've a late afternoon appt with my urologist. It's my annual visit so not expecting anything unusual though there is an ultrasound of my kidneys and bladder immediately preceding. The pup is currently on the bad dog list. When the weather is warm he'll often dig out a small depression to lay in while he watches me work. Saturday I put down soil and grass seed to repair a bare spot. I've been kee.ping it moist to help with germination. The damp soil is cooler so of course while I was otherwise occupied Thistle dug a lovely trench roughly a quarter of the size of the area. I smoothed things again but who knows how much of the grass seed has been redistributed. Plus some was thrown into a section of a flower garden. Fortunately I have more of the seed if I need to reseed but I was not well pleased

If I say it too often people might think I protest too much and begin to doubt my credibility then we'll both be out of luck.
