The bit of fun in the sun is done ... back to the great frigid north.
Too bad about Ritchie and Lucy. We knew there would be an end, unfortunate that it happened this way. We'll have to hope they at least remain on good terms.
The house sounds really nice. Labor Day you say. I'll need to pencil that that in to the calendar.
Damien ... wasn't that the title of a movie about the Antichrist? Can't be the same person. This one hasn't got the brains for tying his shoe.
I was bitten twice as a child. First on my upper lip. I still have tiny upside down vee shaped scars, though my mustache easily hides them. The other later one was to my right upper thigh. No scars from that one.
Sorry about the laugh but that was mum's reaction to your needle issue. She spent the better part of her adult life poking needles into folks. She's very good at it.
Thank you. We're home again, home again. I'm tired. Today's leg of the trip passed through Richmond, VA, Fredericksburg, VA, Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD. Needless to say there was a bit o' traffic, bluefish hell there was traffic. Oh, and my heads aches but we're home again.
Thanks y'all for the good wishes for our safe travel.
G'day y'all. Another day of record setting heat. Thankfully we're headed north later today. Thistle and I took another brief walk this morning, way too hot to go far. He will be going to doggie camp one last time this morning. Mum and I will pack while he's gone. Less stressful for all involved if he's not constantly underfoot. We'll get under way by early afternoon and travel halfway. It's a 5 hour drive and will see us to just shy of the NC/VA border. It's an area we're familiar with as it's where we usually stop coming and going. We'll grab a bite to eat and have a restful night then start fresh in the morning. If all goes to plan we'll be back home in PA sometime tomorrow afternoon.
This is a message from mum:
You must with out fail or deviation do exactly as you are told. You will listen to your doc and physio therapists and will not think you know better and do more than you should. No stupid chair stunts. No stupid what can it hurt lapses in judgement. No stupid anything ... You can undo in a minute what you've spent months of recovery to achieve if you become impatient and do something foolish. Remember just because the pain has gone doesn't mean the shoulder is back to normal. It took 60+ years to get where you are in life now, be patient with the healing so that the next however many years can be enjoyed rather than ... damn, if only ...
Love you bro.
