I'm currently reading The Dark Forest. It's the second book of the Rememberance of Earth's Past trilogy. The Three Body Problem was the first. I'm not much of a sci-fi person, so it's pretty different but I like it.
That's adorable. Back when I was in my apartment, I had the balcony door open in the evening because it was a mild night. I walked into the room just in time to see my cat executing an amazing mid air somersault trying to catch a bat that flew into my house. It turned and flew right back out again.
This was an exciting chapter, but my favorite part was all the description near the beginning. It was really beautiful and perfectly set the soft, cozy mood.
I'm trying to hype myself up for a friend's bridal shower after having a hideous nightmare with accompanying panic attack. Fun times. I hope all the lovely people here are having a good weekend.
I know, but my sister has an enormous blind spot regarding this dog. It's a touchy subject but when I'm spending time with my nephew, I won't let the dog near him.
My sister has a mid sized dog, unknown breed. He bit my nephew on the chin. Needed stitches. Mom asked my sister to rehome the dog. Nope. I asked that she takes the dog to a trainer. Nope. She invented a scenario where he "nipped" at my nephew and just missed the mark. (She has no clue, she wasn't in the room). Dogs are safe until they're not.
