Just binged the whole thing in two days. What an enthralling tale. Amazing world you've created here. I remember getting a little bored of CoTT (sorry!) so I never gave this a chance at the time... how stupid! Easily one of the best stories here on GA. Thanks for sharing your talent and I hope you will revisit Morningstar someday.

Finally! I guess I'm one of the few who really enjoyed the build-up. All of the "Lee" suspects have done or said something that might be incriminating. I don't think you could have created the mystery if Kye had spoken too soon. Sure it would be nice to have the story focus on his rehabilitation, stopping the bad guys, the love story, etc. (like your Neko series) but this is in fist person and I like the more psychological nature of the narrative.

I do think most of the frustration comes from waiting for the next chapter. I don't think anyone is really acting strange or that they are being too slow to figure it out. Kye has every reason to be hesitant to speak up. Though I do agree Sam is pretty dense. Loved the part where Ashton was praying to his late mother.

Poor Kye! Still not quite free from his master. Your stories are always so great and addictive. Eagerly awaiting the next installments.

Loving this so far. It's amazing how your stories are all so wildly different. The way you craft a whole new world every time, with new characters that aren't rehashes of any of your old ones, is very impressive. And it's always original and intriguing. Keep it up!

Finally caught up with this epic series! Tempted to finish reading it elsewhere, but I'll wait for your GA posts. This could very easily be a great television show. I think the only thing that holds it back is the lack of female main characters. Normally I don't even care about every type of person being represented in a story, but I don't think it was necessary for this be such a boys' club. Other than that, very well written and very engrossing.

I just read the whole thing again in one go, and now it definitely makes more sense in terms of which events you chose to describe and which weren't needed. I think it's a very compelling story, and reading it bit by bit made the reader (or at least me) focus too much on the question of what happens next, when that's really not the point of this at all. From the first chapter we already know everything that happened, and the story is merely a journey of understanding. It's a marked difference from your "epic" stories, but this was just as beautiful and captivating, if not more so. I think it honors all the Nathans in the world, all of the unique and wonderful people who could not find their place in the world and chose to leave it. Well done. I'm looking forward to your next adventure.

Perhaps that jump in time was a bit longer than I would've liked, after chapter 5 it was hard to imagine them ever hanging out again. Josh has "normal" friends, and even a girlfriend, so while he enjoys the different kind of friendship he has with Nathan, I think another chapter would've been nice where it's fleshed out a little bit more. They went from barely knowing each other to Josh having discussed Nathan's "moody episodes" with his mom, Josh having helped with video editing, etc. The blossoming of their unlikely friendship is one of the most interesting things about this story. Still loved the chapter though, I didn't think Nathan would go this far, and Josh's casual reaction to the kiss was also interesting.

Loving this story so far. Nathan and Josh are both fascinating characters. I'm usually not fond of present tense, but here it works really well.

Really enjoyed this one, very interesting world that you created. Not sure about the first chapter though, this is a really cool sci-fi story, but I doubt I would've pressed on if not for Tantalus. I don't mind sex, but to put it at the very beginning always seems a bit gratuitous. I fear it might have scared off some potential readers who would've loved the rest of the story. Anyway, it's a minor gripe. Glad I did read it all, cause it was awesome. And a sequel is absolutely needed.

Fantastic chapter! Why is everyone aching for them to survive? There should be no deus ex machina. It is clear now that this story is not fiction at all. C James is actually Gonzalez, and he is paying tribute to his late friends by recounting their epic story here on GA.

Yay it's back! And worth the wait! Cameron and Tristan remain the cutest. I don't even mind that you've given them famous faces because that would be one hot couple. I'm a bit saddened by the lack of feedback, maybe people here don't really "get" the writing style you've adopted for this one. But I do, and I love it!! So please keep writing more!
