Alright anyone who talks to me or reads my work knows I love food. I talk about it, I write about, and in at least one of my stories I included my recipes for things. So I thought I would ask the group feel like sharing a recipe or two? I'll begin this with one my favorites My Blueberry Buckle recipe. Basically it is blueberry cake and I've cooked it all year using frozen blueberries when fresh are no longer available. Blueberry Buckle Ingredients 3/4 cup white sugar 1/4 cup shortening 1 egg 1/2 cup milk ½ teaspoon of vanilla 2 cups all-purpose flour 2 teaspoons baking powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 ½ cups fresh blueberries 1/2 cup white sugar 1/3 cup all-purpose flour 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg 1/4 cup butter, softened Directions Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Grease one 8x8 inch pan. Cream together 3/4 cup sugar, shortening, vanilla, and egg. In a separate bowl mix together 2 cups flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir into sugar mixture, alternating with milk. Stir in blueberries. Pour into greased 8x8 inch pan. To make topping: Combine 1/2 cup sugar, 1/3 cup flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and butter. Sprinkle over cake batter. Bake at 375 degree F (190 degrees C) for 25-30 minutes. So there is the first one. Who wants add one of theirs?

Okay I didn't want everyone to think I forgot everything I was working on. I have been writing just so you know. 1) I have the End of the World Anthology story finished. 2) Started work on the Winter Anthology. 3) Wrote what was suppose to be a very short piece for the Anniversary Prompt. Well right now it is about ten pages and still growing so by the time I finish it will either be a long short story, or a short three part tale. Depends on what it is like when I finish and what my beta and editor suggest. 4) I am busy also fixing and rewriting Seeon. When it comes back out it will be vastly different but also allow me to easily go in for a second run on it. 5) I haven't forgotten Jonas. I know there are people who probably would like to slap me upside the head thinking it will never be done. I do apologize, but Jonas was put aside while I dealt with my father's illness. It was literally only today that we got all the results in from his various tests. They found he was bleeding both from the lower stomach and the upper small intestine. He has had what medications he takes altered, including ending his aspirin regiment in an attempt to change how his body handles things. Hopefully he is back on a road to recovery and I can get back to finishing Jonas up. 6) I have special project I was working on which will be completed and put up as well. 7) Yeah, it is Halloween month and am unsure whether I should try to do a scary tale or something just for the holiday. I guess it depends on whether my readers are tired of me and if I can find a little time slide that in. lol. So that is it for now. Hope all is going well for everyone. Charlie is someone coming into his own. Till now he has more or less just followed what has come his way. Time will show his life to be something rather interesting.

Okay so the new season has started and magic is back. What did everyone think of the season opener? I like the new characters being introduced. Seems that Emma might not be done playing savior yet.

Well that was unexpected. I just look at it as trying to do for others what I hope they will do for me. I enjoy getting mail and keeping in touch. I do my best and that is about all anyone can do. Why add to someone's problems if you can take a few minutes to listen and lighten their load? Besides I have come to care about so many people on here.

Alright I have been absent for awhile. Naturally that means I get to do one of my lists again. Sorry folks. 1) Mark - I see the ups and downs in your comments. Glad to hear you are moving forward no matter how painful that might be. Life isn't stagnant and neither are you. Just remember your animals aren't the only ones who depend on you. 2) Joe - Glad to see you are alive and kicking. A date no less. We might not always be able to touch you in person but know our best wishes are always with you. 3) Yettie - What can I tell you? You keep your chin up. I can relate to so much you are going through. Life is never easy but I am rooting for you. 4) Jo Ann - I wonder if you realize just how much of a smile you can bring to people just by being you? I'm always happy to see you in this thread. 5) Bee - The death of an animal can be as cruel as the death of anyone else. You share your life and your affection with them. Animals are perhaps one of the few creatures on earth that show you how they feel and don't care. I think your mother might need to talk with the doctor. There is a reason he put you on them and if they work together it will be in your best interest. Keep your chin up and don't be worried if you cry, that is only you being human. 6) Henry - For each person life is different. I can respect your comments and the education you gave us all but how each person responds again will be an individual thing. okay off the soap and commentary box. for all who need them.
