    Chapter 1

Thanks Cole. It was soooo scary when it happened. It went from bad to worse to extreme! To this day, I'm still a little scared of fire...and cooking Now, we can laugh about it but back then I was devastated that I hurt the man I love. Thanks for reading!

    Chapter 1

LOL OMG, Bill you have no idea the damage done is seconds. It was a lot of repairs to be done. Rob has joked about "I fell into a burning ring of fire..." Yes, it is funny now. The wounds are no longer raw. My emotions and our burns have healed (even though there are scars) but It brought us closer. He is amazing! Thanks for reading

    Chapter 1

I had a LOT of making up to do!! We can laugh now and try to use it as a lesson learned to teach our daughter about life and the world. We are lucky, it could have been really really bad, but yes we can look back and laugh now

    Chapter 1

"Waiting for oil to boil" has been a catch phrase in our house for years...it brings back memories. We were in such a new relationship, learning about each other and then this happened. He could have ran far and fast but he didn't he chose to stay with me ((he says he wouldn't have done it any different...except get take-out that night))

    Chapter 1

Haha. I'm sure that no one would ever forget such a "romantic dinner". There was small lines thoughout the story which hinted at a true "disaster". Very clever. Very nice story about amazing persons. Thanks for sharing:) And yeah, so did the oil boil? LOL- No the oil never boiled It was a hard lesson learned. Believe me, nobody lets me forget what I did. When we get invited over I'm always banned from the kitchen or I get put on setting-the-table duty Robert is amazing. I wouldn't have blamed him if he had left me, but he didn't. I asked him if it was okay to share this story and he laughed. Said, "Life has never been boring living with me!"

    Chapter 1

I would not have blamed him if he walked/ran away from me. It was awful and yes we were both burned bad (him worse than me) but he stayed. He's an amazing man and I'm lucky to have him in my life. Thanks a bunch!

    Chapter 1

At the time it was horrific. I was so upset about hurting him and almost burning our home down. Now, several years later, we can both laugh about the disaster. Thanks for reading

    Chapter 1

LOL, I try to stay out of the kitchen as much as possible! Yeah, I make a much better taste-tester than a cook I've asked him over the years why he's stayed with me and he said, "I knew it would never be boring!" ((I've lived up to my end of the deal))

    Chapter 1

Thanks Mann! As soon as I heard the theme, I knew what I was going to write (With Robert's approval, of course) Now, several years later, we can laugh about it but back then is was a very touchy subject. Thanks for reading

    Chapter 1

Great Balls of Fire by KC Grim Glancing over the recipe card, I blew out a frustrated breath and cursed Linda for the hundredth time. “A dash of Cayenne Pepper, a pinch of Basil, and a sprinkle of Ginger? What was she trying to do to me?” I growled slamming the card back down on the countertop. “She knows that I’m kitchenly challenged, so why the hell would she give me a recipe without exact measurements? How am I supposed to figure out a sprinkle of this and a dash of that?”

  21. The interview with Mann was cool, but was it announced before the blog went up? Because if so I missed it, but I still like reading through what everyone posted. Oh well, I guess I'll have to hunt Mann down and tickle the answers to my most burning questions out of him
  22. We have done something very similar at work. Everyone brought something from home, wrapped it and we did a gift exchange game and was a lot of fun, but I think there is a difference when you know about the re-gifting and not when someone is try to pass something off as if they 'purchased' it.
  23. So it's that time of year...Gift Giving. I was talking with a friend the other day. Her birthday was a few days ago and she was telling me about a 'Gift' she got from her new Mother-In-Law. It was a really nice tote bag from an upscale store and had some small items inside: body sprays, lotions, lip gloss, ect. Well, she told me that it wasn't really her style and since it still had the price tag on it, which wasn't cheep at all (BTW totally tacky to leave tags on gifts to show off the cost) she would try to exchange it. She took it to the store and asked to exchange for something else her style and was told that it wasn't 'purchased' it was a freebie! It was one of those deals where you spend $ x.xx and get a free gift. Her Mother-In-Law hadn't even bought the bag or any of the goodies inside. She had bought herself something and re-gifted the freebie, all the while leaving the tags so It looked like she had spent a lot of money. What do you do in that case? Would you confront the person who re-gifted? Do you just let it go and keep quiet? Have you ever re-gifted?
  24. Happy Birthday Wolf-Boy **give ya a birthday scratch behind the ear**

    Honestly?

When our daughter was in elementary school (think it was 1st grade) it was a few days after Halloween and she got in trouble for eating one of those little bite-size candy bars before eating her lunch. The teacher stopped her and told her she had to eat her meal before dessert. Of course as soon as the teacher walked away she at the candy! The teacher turned around and saw her and gave her detention and made her stand with her forehead against the wall during recess for disobeying a direct order. We got a letter send home detailing our child's "offense." We were furious! The next day my husband took her to school, marched into the principal's office and went off on those people. He told that woman that we pack JJ's lunch and any items in her lunchbox is for her to eat and he didn't care what order she ate as long as we have approved what she eats. Also, just to prove his point, he went and got a bunch of full-sized candy bars and labeled them: sandwich, fruit, vegetable, chips.... and filled JJ's lunchbox and dared the school to say a word. OMG - I laughed so hard that principal was terrified!!
