  1. And that, precisely, is why primaries should be open.

    An update...I guess.

I'd take Drewbie's advice, phoned death threats actually violate federal laws...and they can be arrested just for doing it.

    Early night

I'll add all my best, too.
  4. So how 'bout a pic, Chase?
  5. Benjers, I make no claims on "wizened"...it implies having learned all there is to learn...which is a false assumption. I did not call you "Old & Wizened," however, since 95% of responsibilities are assumed by those who have them, you may assume those of the Old & Wizened Sage of GA. I've seen people here on GA that are older than I am, yet I'm older than I thought I would ever be--I mean, if we got hit by a nuclear warhead, what good would all those duck and cover drills really have done for for me in my childhood in the 60's(?)--and getting older, and wiser, every day, still.
  6. HOLD IT! Timeless?!?!? I've already admitted to being older than my dear Nephy! <Oh, by the way, here's that Linguini with Scampi, heavy on the garlic and lemon butter, Miss> And a Sage? Chase?!? Nineteen is a bit young to be an old Sage...maybe an aged herb for cooking--even if a little stale--but not a wizened old advisor. Give Mark Arbour & I a break, here.
  7. Reminds me of one of those posters available through the SkyMall catalogues...this one was attributed to someone in baseball, Tommy Lasorda of the Dodgers, I think: Expect the worst, and hope for the best.
  8. Just don't forget to take the hand model with you in case you want to fly the 'sports model'! And while I can drive stickshift, I don't think I'd want to on the motorhome or van simply because it requires more concentration and could be more of a hazard in traffic.
  9. Given the stretch of time in Be Rad, I don't think that would be out of line for Mark's writing ability. As an aside for Mark...when he reads this thread again, Rob had a cousin, one of a pair of twins (both gay), going to college in New York who came down with spinal meningitis just before the attacks...and was undergoing surgery the morning of the attacks. His mother, Rob's Aunt, had landed at JFK that morning literally minutes before the first crash. She had to walk to the hospital from the airport to be with her son in the intensive care area during his recovery. He was affected by the meningitis, he is now permanently and totally blind. This might give you an idea for a storyline...but, hopefully not any of our story's "heroes"...maybe the "financial advisor" who defected to the mexican drug lord?
  10. Hey, Steve! It's good to hear of your progress, and that it's coming along fairly quickly, too. Once you're back on your feet, you can help us kick ArpeGGio's social life back into shape...
  11. Oh, hell no, I'll be in one of Hell's air conditioned suites!
  12. Happy Birthday, Julian, drink something really nice, like an expensive brandy or wine, and curl up with a either a good book, or the love of your life!
  13. jamessavik and Mark Arbour, you guys are too much! Pushing an old lady into traffic and sitting on one of Obama's New Healthcare Plan's Death Councils....jeez... I'll still be looking down on you from my private skyroom...
  14. And what a ride it's been! Mark has been giving us an excellent story, told from several points of view, JP, Stefan, Brad AND Robbie (interspersed lightly), back to Stefan, and several new characters keep the continuing options open. Jeremy, I've been reading the musical matches very intermittently, but have heard several of the songs you've recommended--I'm probably going to compile the list (unless you do) and get it downloaded to my BlackBerry...
  15. Enric, I remembered Billy having been described as a 'twin' for Jeff's looks...that's why I did eventually go back and read the whole series from the start. I did not, however, remember the comparison of Claire to JP...she is, after all, female, and of less interest to me than the male characters in the story.
  16. I had mentioned to Mark that it was soon time to revisit Claremont...how about Robbie's mom being on top of the WTC, touring with other adult family/friend members also vacationing away from Ohio, leaving all their children in need of adoptive families? This way, there's bound to be some more gay members coming out and non-gay becoming much more tolerant due to the life trauma, and not only gay-male support, but gay-female as well with the mother of Brad's children being in Malibu. Now, finally, JP would be justified in adopting neices and nephews with the last name Hendrickson. How about it, Mark?
  17. Resurrecting Billy? Sure... Now, Mark, I know you're like, 2nd in line to the throne for "King of Cliffhangers", but even I don't think you can pull a rabbit that big out of your proverbial hat. You did surprise me, and a good few others, with more proof of Bill Hendrickson's rather unusual proclivity for getting "a little on the side"...as it were. Finding Jeff's kid in France was a big surprise (even a bigger surprise to find 'only one'), as it was to find the other french bastards. So--to be fair--I suppose you'll just have Billy walk back in to Escorial one day for dinner, out of the blue, and that it was a friend of his in the car, or someone else, and he had gotten pantsed or something to where is ID went with those in the car... Speaking of the past catching up, we haven't heard mention in the two recent stories of the sculpture that Brad and Mouse did of JP and Jeff for JPs birthday...only of the large statue of Andre. Speaking of that, we haven't heard of any visits to the graves of Roger and Mouse, or the parents and Tonto back in Claremont, either. Sounds like it's almost time for another "obligatory" visit back to Claremont, OH, for the whole clan.
  18. Chase, Chase, Chase....when I say "nervy, gritty and very active" I mean that in a good way. Active writing is so much easier to read...did I say your story was poorly done? No. If you ever have doubts about what I'm saying, ask me for clarification. On the contrary, I have PM'd you and told you it was good, before I even saw this blog comment...I was merely commenting on your style, and suggesting that you read Mark's voluminous work, as it is--as many others will also back up--very well done. I'll ignore your calling me a "dipshit" since you're only freshly dipped here yourself.
  19. Chase, your response is unusually blunt--even for you. Your recent writing is nervy, gritty, and very active, but if you want a good example of something approaching the status of 'masterpiece', start reading Mark's C.A.P. series, from beginning to end is recommended. As he says, you'll fall in love with some characters, cry over others and even hate more, still. However, the entire series taken together is truly a wonderully shining example of what a masterpiece should start out as.
  20. Have a happy one, guy! You could do those errands if you want to, the only thing that won't wait is heaven...
  21. Nevermind the look she gave him, imagine the look he gave Brian!
  22. Hi, Enric...that'd be me...and I recently read the whole series...I didn't catch anything on them being physically different in hair or eye color, but I may have to go back and re-read it despite the sorrow that the Jeff era induces.
  23. Blackguard, you are simply wonderful! YES! This was it! Now, what would a suitable reward be?

    Revenge

I, too, tend to be very protective of those I love. When I was but an itty bitty, well, about 2 to 2 1/2 years old...mom was dating a real asshole...threatened to cut off my fingers with a butcher knife once. Once my mom broke up with him, he sugared her gas tank. Thankfully, her dad--my grandpa--was the town's best carb' mechanic...he opened her engine and had the cylinders cleaned out and the carbeurator rebuilt inside 1 day, including getting it towed to the garage! They knew who did it, but his dad was a judge in town, so a complaint to the police would've fallen on deaf ears. The next time the asshole boyfriend came over, she ended up acting nice and friendly...and I went outside to "play" while they were upstairs--my playtime consisted of getting even, it was pre-planned: I poured a couple cups of sugar, and some water, in his gas tank. This was back in the 60's so there were no locking gas caps... Once he took his car to one of the town's mechanics to be fixed and de-sugared, mom got some money--all the town's mechanics knew he was an ass and it was circulated what he had done, so they all knew to charge him--but good--for the cleaning out, and also to take their time...his dad was not loaning him any of his cars, so he was stuck walking or depending on "friends" for a while...come to find out, he wasn't able to get around town that well.
  25. Good things from today... I woke up without aches and pains from sleeping wrong. My cat was lying on the pillow next to me purring as if his life depended on it. His sinuses were clear. (Thank God) Rob was sound asleep and snoring softly, relaxed enough to lay completely stretched out on his back which is rare. After three weeks of "life getting in the way" I was only up 1.4 pounds, and that includes my birthday dinner of Filet and Scampi, and a huge sundae with fudge topping for dessert. Facebook is helping me connect/reconnect with people from High School, and recent friends that I haven't been able to see lately. My friends think I'm wonderful. I think my friends are the greatest! My husband thinks I'm everything. I'm young and everything works! We have the very real possibility of becoming debt free within the next two to three years.
