  1. Mmmmm...now that was hot. Carullo doesn't bug me like Jeff did - Carullo doesn't have to get all cocky to assert his masculinity. I kinda hope Jeff doesn't turn out to be a totally bad guy, though - Stef's already lost one assistant in a drama-fueled fallout. Does he really need to lose another one that way?

    Chapter 1

Awwwwww. :Hub: Hope you two are still happy together!
  3. Happy birthday, Mark!
  4. Seeing as Wade's already thinking that hooking up with Jeff might have been a bad idea, I'm thinking that Jeff will probably already become a former FWB (not a former friend, just no longer with the benefits). In any case, even if Jeff were to try to pull Wade away, I'm thinking that his efforts would be an exercise in futility. I'll agree that we're probably due for the next move on the Danfield Family front. Edited to add: Centex - Jeff's issue with Matt was sort of touched on in the chapter, he likes Wade and doesn't like that Matt was playing around on him, he'd rather have Wade all to himself, thinks Wade would go for that, and hopes that Wade would dump Matt to be exclusive with him.
  5. Now...that's a bit more like it. I actually didn't quite expect the Jeff thing to wrap up so quickly, but all things considered...I won't be broken up to see him (mostly) go back into the background for a little while. Seeing Wade play around with any guy where it's mostly one-sided sexually, when he's versatile with Matt...not really a fan of that one. (Sorry Mark ) With Sean, it was different because Matt was also there. In any case, I have to think that we'll start to see where Wade and Matt gradually cut back on their side action, and go back to being exclusive with each other (or only "play" together). Even if it's a long way back to exclusive, I have to think that this is the turning point for them. Not to say that there isn't plenty of room for more hot playing around...
  6. Well, "Ew"...at coming in just to say, "Ew".
  7. Happy birthday, Frosty!!
  8. It kinda feels a little soon to call it a full-fledged "comeback", seeing as both bands have had one hit apiece and are only now moving on to releasing a second song here now. Let's see how the rest of the year plays out first. In any case, The Wanted could be less of a "boy band" per se and more of a group of five guys who happen to be making music, in just a couple of years. Only one of their five is under 20. Compare that to One Direction, where only one of them are even 20. (EDIT: Fixed a sentence missing a number.)
  9. In that event, this could easily eclipse the 70-range between the election and the trip still to come. I think of "the election" more in terms of the Danfields plotline, which...that isn't completely resolved yet, is it? I feel like it was kind of left hanging, then became decidedly less important with Will Vs. Brad + Robbie moving into the forefront. Seems like there should be one more Danfield surprise coming before we hit ballot box time.
  10. Off the top of my head, other than the Election which is now only two-and-a-half weeks away at this point, I wonder which of these other events could go into this story, and which could go into a separate story that...yes...would start right after this one? My thought is, the Election is too close time-wise to not pop up in this story unless Mark decided to cut if off right here, which would seem really off in my opinion. I don't remember though when the Norway trip is supposed to happen, while Jeanine's depression doesn't really seem to have a fixed timetable. Only reason I look at it like that is, I wonder which of these events wouldn't fit the "paternity" theme if they're far enough away to do some working around with, story-wise?
  11. I've seen a couple reviews talking like the story will be ending soon or asking if it's ending soon. Then...I look at this post: So...yeah, I don't really get how this could be ending very very soon. In any case, I feel like this story would be incomplete with a look at how Will, Brad, and Robbie put themselves back together after all this. That part of the story doesn't seem like something that can be adequately told in just a few chapters.
  12. Wishful thinking? It's just Scott who's gay.

    Seven Years Ago...

Whoa...I feel like I should start calling you a "boy wonder" after reading this. Seriously, who else can be so influential in making this site what it is today (or so I've heard... ), and be growing up along with it? I'm one of those 'newer' kids on the block, and I've only really known you for about 2 months, but I can definitely say that you're a real cool guy to talk to. It's really awesome to hear that things are looking up for you now. Hopefully this did cure that writers' block ...but really, here's to another seven years, eh? Your beta, Mike (P.S. I feel like it's only fair that you know my name since I know both yours and Louis's. ) (Westie: He already got my beta virginity with this one. But y'know...he told me he hasn't worked with one before either, so I suppose I got his too. )
  14. Hope you found something to make your birthday happy.
  15. Honestly...I wonder if anyone's bothered to tell him what's been going on. Speaking from my own experience, I know how easy it can be to miss hearing about something going on at home unless you happen to call/e-mail someone back home, or vice-versa. Not hearing from Darius is something I'd chalk up to as a simple oversight rather than his own lack of caring.
  16. Hmmm...quite right! Which is why, which is why...Wade, could come back home to find Matt still wound up over his not being there for the games, and find out that hot, hot Jeff (partial sarcasm there) got to basically have his way with Wade over in Hawaii, and if Jeff's so hot, then Matt would want a piece of him too (nevermind that Jeff doesn't like him)...so what does Matt do? Tracks Jeff down and bends him over, of course! Huh? Huh?? How's that spin for ya?
  17. Eh...there's something about Jeff's brand of cocky that, I dunno...something about the way he combines hot and cocky didn't really jibe well. Like...he seems like the kind of guy who could say he's not trying to cause problems, and even mean that honestly - yet still end up causing problems anyway just by being there, just because of how he is.
  18. I have to think that's in large part due to Robbie taking most of that ride along with Brad. Then again...with even Robbie calling him on some of the decisions he's made a couple chapters back, maybe even that luck is about to run out...
  19. I feel like these can be separated between phrases that are always "pleonasms" regardless of the sentence context, and ones that might not be redundant in some situations. Some that might not always be redundant (at least I think so)... "invited guests" "original source" "suddenly exploded" As opposed to others like "unexpected surprise" that would probably always be a pleonasm.

    Chapter 4

Quite a harrowing ride on this one. It's shorter in that there's less words, but we the readers are left in suspense from start to finish, so...it doesn't really feel shorter. And even if it did...slam! There's that surprise right at the end. Very well done. Now, I'll get to crossing my fingers hoping Jason will be all right...
  21. So the family decides to fly out to Hawaii, at the same time that Will decides to fly back home to California. HAH!!!!! Hah!!!
  22. Oh no, I agree with you - I just like that you coined the phrase, "Schluter sexpot". And then again...we've only seen so much of Nick's life. For all we know, he could be one too - only, on the straight side.
  23. Schluter sexpot....hah! Nice one.
  24. OK, I read the review that's up and your response to it...I hope we're not suddenly about to see another dramatic danger event.
  25. If I remember correctly, Brad was further along in HS in Be Rad than Will is right now, yes? I have to think that makes a bit of a difference there (the 1980 Vs. 2000 difference notwithstanding).
