Ah, I see the defintion of a cliffhanger is that the reader has to wait at least one week for the resolution. Hmmm, interesting. Okay I try to push every thought aside that Dalen might have slightly understimated his enemies and distract myself with working, wondering why this mage thinks he won't cause any damage with his tremendous powers. Very good chapter with no cliffhanger per definitionem. ~A.

I know that sometimes even as an author you want to rush through the story to get to some much awaited key points, still it is the supposedly not so important backgound information, that makes the 'meat' of the story. So I will be patient also, read everything to get the whole picture. This chapter was another example. I wanted to see Dalen confronting/meeting his mother and Bart, but it was more important to let him see and help Dell, get more information about the situation at the palace and the explosion etc. Now, armed with even more questions I'm once again eager to read the next chapter. It is funny how I get impatient, although you update so frequently. Thanks for this btw. It's good there are breaks though, otherwise I'd probably get nothing done until the end of the story. ~A.

I'm very glad I found this story. At first I had a few problems to get into it due to the complexity of the setting, but after I understood all the interrelations it became much easier. Dalen is a very interesting character, I can almost feel him struggle with his dreams vs/and responsibilities. So now I can hardly wait to see him finally at the castle, and hear something about Bart. You really managed to drag this part out and now I just wanna know... ~A.

First I want to thank you for both stories. They are great. Second Shot actually turned me into a slightly ant-social individual, because I tried to read in one go. All my surrounding got from me during reading were some hmms, uhu's and such. The Trial of Jordan Colmar was something I want for some other stories too. You want to know, what the consequences of their actions for some people are, but it doesn't fit into the original story, so it's left out. The 'legal-world' isn't mine (this sounds so wrong somehow), but I was never bored because of the legal-babbel or thought 'jeez what does he mean now', so no it's not too legalistic. And this is why my stories never take place in a lab, they would be too um... sciencilistic.

Yeah definitely try the Glühwein, but make sure it's really hot otherwise it's indeed hideous. And of course there is more than wheat beer in Germany. If you happen to visit the Rhineland try Kölsch (I can't believe I wrote this) and Alt (yeah!). I don't really like German food (white sausages... ugh sorry) except the large variety of bread and pastries, but Italian food, must be my Italian half. So antipasti (a variety of starters) and pasta dishes are always good, as well as minestrone, a thick soup with vegetables, rice or pasta. And for wine: yup chianti it is.

Finally! Sorry, patience isn't my forte. Yes, that was what I thought. And I'm very grateful that Isiah actually told Ellis some of the things he's doing. Some authors probably would have made a great secret out of this for the next five chapters, so thank you for telling us something. Although I really do not want to think the fact through the end that Ellis is the other half of Isiah, as in i's his opposite in everything'. I like Ellis new features very much and am curious if there will be more. So Dav (finally got his name right) has enough of the silent treatment? Did I mention I hate cliffies? lol Oh and thanks for welcoming me here at the forum. (Better late than never, just noticed it some days ago...)

Okay so maybe I'm easily amused but I've never seen this coming. Really unexpected turn.

As I see it, it's not me who wants to torture your characters... So thank you for Ellis standing firm, and not giving in to Dev. I can't believe he's spamming Ellis' voice-mail though, it's a little ooc. This isn't a bad thing only shows an unexpected facet of his personalty. And for good measure, because the reader gets so easily bored, you had to spin a second string, so while Ellis and Dev are fighting, we can concentrate on questions like : Is the guest Isiah brings Natham's bother? Are they mates? Is Isiah one of Velaku's enemies? Nice.

Everytime there's still no 'hickup' in chapter six I get a little nervous, the longer you have wait the bigger the 'hickup'. And no, this wasn't what I expected. So thank you for the unexpected reason for an expected twist. And there is more to come, like is Isaia innocent, maybe some more about the people who want destroy Velaku, what will Dev do, will Ellis forgive him? Honestly? I hope not at least for the next two or three chapters. Distrust and suspiciousness maybe a part of his personality, but still... Thanks for the nice wake up chapter (it's morning here) and yes I can't wait to read the next chapter.

Wow, that was fast, thank you. I have to agree, the idea of Ellis being a healer in a more spiritual way also, is beautiful. I hope the will heal each other in the future; and me having a migraine sometimes, I think that the venom could help Ellis with that problem too. Just an idea...

Ahhh, next chapter. I somehow thought I had to wait longer..., but I'm not complaining. When you first mentioned the Snake Carthera I really wanted to know more about them, they couldn't just all be bad... I mean that bad... and then you topped it by making a human and a snake being mates... great. Can't wait to read more... Thank you for writing another Carthera story.

Okay, finally getting to chapter 90 (!) I think this is a good point to tell you what I think about this story. I'm new here and it was a looong way to go, but I never stopped or got bored, with other words I like it. I now know many things about boats and sailing and it almost was as if I visited all the mentioned countries, well some I actually did. Sometimes it were, at least for my taste, a tad too much details and too technical, but you were always able to hold the suspense so it's all good. I feel with Trevor, I like Joel, Lisa and Shane, and somehow Trev's dad also, I hate Bridget and Co., the side-characters are well elaborated too, I really want to know what happened with Trev's mom, I want to strangle Bridget, lol, I want the end and I want to read more. So, um good story!
