Did you watch Lord of the Rings? I love the part where Sam talks about the Shire and eating strawberries with cream when Frodo was ready to give up.
-
I love playing with words, it's one of my favourite past times. I'm glad I could make you laugh about such a serious topic.
-
Thank you, and welcome!

Magic is in the air! PT#95 Sam got a magical advent calendar from gran Lulu. So far, the chocolate and marzipan were delicious but magical? What does the calendar’s magic do to Sam? PT#96 Looking for the box with Christmas decorations in the attic, your protagonist pushes cardboard boxes around. Suddenly something strange drops on the floor. After a closer examination, it turns out to be a mechanical arm. After playing around with it for a while it suddenly attaches itself to them, replacing the biological body part. Ooops.

Now, these are some totally new ideas! As always, I can't/won't comment on this, but I'm thrilled at the perspectives you opened. Next chapter will reveal what really happened.

This made me laugh out loud and wake the cats.
-
Perfect!
-
Thank you, Dan. The oily blood has to be Caspian.
-
Well, no one has been harmed, yet, in contrary, he was even able to save people. Could he have handled it better? Certainly, but without him Gideon had met his second death. As long as he is able to slide past catastrophes, I fear he won't behave according to your rules. We have a saying where I live, loosely translated it means as long as it went well.... It's not as if I wouldn't understand you, but as @Onim said, Thank goodness our favorite little hard-headed Kav was ready and willing to jump in to help.
-
Done. First when is Kavan going to just follow orders? Rarely. And what the hell took Caspian and Konstantin so long... Konstantin had to tell Caspian but they should have realized how quickly they needed to respond. Sometimes even the bosses are a little slow. And why would Gideon make an attack like this without sufficient numbers to do the job. Overwhelming hate? Overconfidence? Vengeance? Being an idiot? Well, we already know India's folks were great smithies, who infused their weapons with magic. Thank you! As always, great comment.
-
Like he's a lil' overripe? Thank goodness Kavan unintentionally snitched on Gideon and his cohort. Hah, yes exactly. Nope, to both. Caspian and Konstantin are gonna cuss Gideon out when he recovers. I can totally see that happen. Thank you, Gee for your great comment.
-
I love that you're still thinking about this. *happy*
-
Thank you. what happened to all the spectators? Stay tuned. Thank you for reading the chapter and for your comment, Parker.
-
Good!
-
What blood connection does Gideon have with Kavan? Thank you, scrubber6620.
-
That's right, but we all know he is nosy, and Konstantin telling him not to go near a pit made it even more interesting, or... he thought he might be able to help in some way? Finding them is his due to his exceptional instinct and luck I guess and not many other roads to follow. Gideon becomes more complex as we find out more about him. I'm glad you think so.Thank you for sharing your thoughts, Terry.

Yes, and yes. Kavan will always have his own way to handle things. And now Kavan's shadow dancer gift has been revealed. Uh-oh, how will Caspian react? All I know is that I want the next chapter now Ha, this time you only know as much as the other readers. And I'm on it. This story shouldn't become an on the fly story, but oh-well, life happened.
-
Now, that is an interesting idea. Tell me of your experience with crab broth.
-
You really don't like snarky, wilful people, huh? I'm sorry, but this is Kavan for you, like him or hate him, I don't think he'll change any time soon.
-
Beginning to understand the Giddy one a bit better now, how the ‘angel’ in him was abused and left him cynical and bitter. I'm glad. Thank you for this great comment, Onim.
-
It didn't surprise you, I mean you're familiar with his...shall we call it flaws? But I don't think Gideon was surprised but pissed. Please allow the mated wolf pair to live. Of course. Whose "oily" blood saved Kavan? Sorry, but . Thank you for your comment, Kris. I love you worried for the mated wolf pair.

Is it wrong that I love it?

“Call the men together. We meet as soon as the sun sets.” Gideon’s words echoed loudly in my head while I ran up the stairs. Then I realized I was being an idiot; as soon as I reached the next full floor, I went out the metal door and headed for the elevator. “Why are you still up and about at this hour?” I stopped, looked up, and found my sire leaning against the wall beside the elevator. “Gideon and I went out for dinner.” He raised his eyebrows. “What?” “Si

Old Friends and Perfection
Aditus commented on Parker Owens's story chapter in Old Friends and Perfection
I like both sonnets, it's a favorite poetry form of mine and these two are beautiful. Teeth--, I favour fangs as you know, be it vampires, wolves or even dragons. Well, David, for a time I was fascinated by the fact he is very accurate in certain details. Anyway, perfection is somewhat boring, give me flaws to love and adore, to be unique. Thank you for sharing these, Parker. -
I had several to choose from, but I thought these would convey the atmosphere the best. Of course we want to see his bejeweled body parts. Okay, maaaaybe a hint
