I particularly enjoyed the narrative here, and the pace. Looking forward to more. -
Pleased for Dawson, and Brent. Pleased for Chase that he got more clarity, perspective, and continuing to move on. Sad for Chase and Dawson that they will be far away from a good friend. Sad for Hank that he's still lost. Bit of a mixed bag really. Lots to reflect on.

It's interesting that someone seeming so well-adjusted (of sorts) back then ended up regressing as he did in the last story.

As I read, I felt as if Hank was trying to hurt Chase by by denying him access to Rex at short notice, and putting on a show about moving on. Seemed a bit desperate, and stubborn.

Is it wrong that, with all the high drama and crisis in this chapter, I giggled helplessly when I saw this line? Yes it is. I need help. Poor Mick though. Rough day in a series of rough days. And I can't believe Lester is alive.

My previous lasting impression was that Dorian was a bit of a nozzle. Looking forward to this new story and hoping to see how that might not be the case after all.

There is something immature about Hank's reaction. Unresolved and dark, as if not entirely revealed. I think there is more back-story to discover yet.

I'm really hoping that Hank hasn't just been caught with his hand in the cookie jar. It would be a bit much if he's piling guilt on to Chase when he's feeling much better himself. Perhaps it's just buddies out for a drive? If not, perhaps Chase could get Dawson's number after all..?

Okay, on the one hand those scenes were hot. But the abuse of power was depressing to read again.

Not sure I agree with all of Grant's reasoning here. There's a fine line between helping and meddling. I wonder if Troy avoids Brian's friendship because he associates it with John being there also. If so, it will be painful and awkward when he shows up.

It seemed positive that Chase didn't 'wobble' when typing what happened with Hank - perhaps suggesting he's broken the negative cycle in his mind, at least for now. Hank is going to go back after, see the boxes gone, and the apartment will seem so empty. Then perhaps he'll check the pillow closet. And not seeing it there on the shelf will hurt. Hopefully some Rex snuggles will help because that's a recipe for a loooong night of the soul... Hmm - Dawson - you prepping us for another story already..??
