  1. sighs... it can work, it does work, it is working... not only would I consider doing it again, I have friends who are still together, and it's still working very well for them oddly I found that it was easier than a typical relationship, once we settled in past the honeymoon stage that is -- but the trick is open communication (isn't that the trick with all relationships though?) just thnk of it like this.. instead of HALF the household chores you are only responsible for a THIRD (that alone sweetens the pot!) bah this is probably TMI for most of you...
  2. um.. it really depends on what you want it for... we have both here.. the psp has more functions (according to my son) as that it can access the internet and play music / movies as well as games... so, my advice? unless the children are really wanting to play head to head, why not one of each?
  3. considering a lot of factors, I think that authors have the right to make these decisions. MIA is not an excuse to infringe upon copyrights (which last an awful long time AFTER a person is declared deceased) Usually the author has discussed it with someone, or left instructions, wishes, or other communication of their wishes. In the event of a sudden death, I feel it is up to the holder of those works to decide what to do with them whether it be the family or a publishing house. Also, depending on the circumstances of the works... some things just do not need completion. Sure there will be some readers who bitch about it (whiners all!) but if it's not finished, well it's not. However, there are also some things that do need to be finished (the exmaple of the Wheel of Time for example). The work will not be the same, but it can be similar, and sometimes that will just have to suffice.
  4. awww thank you guys, I'm glad you liked it. herm so that is what irony is... and to think my english professor TRIED to learn me that... sorry it was such a short piece this time, I sorta forgot about the deadline and um.. yeah well lets just say that mine was the last one submitted... heh... I'll try to do better next time.
  5. what's funny is a simple court document could have saved all this trouble... the termination of parental rights... then he could not have sued for cutstody, they would not have feared it and moved across the country, and they could not have ever gotten any child support from him. I'm glad I have one.... er four.
  6. kudos Dan... excellent chapter.
  7. snickers.. I was gonna try the best buy one this year... for the $200 computer... but a friend of mine drove by at 11 pm on Thursday and said the line was already horrible... people in tents! outside and someone was stealing power from the bank (next door) to power the portable dish in the parking lot... there were extension cords everywhere! All for an item where they were only guaranteed to have fifteen in stock!

  10. sometimes simply stating he is speaking with an accent and occasionally have someone not understand him works too. As for the structure example, I think that is ok in small doses, like maybe when he is more emotional. Which is also when he may slip in a word or phrase from his native tongue (which should be easily identifiable from context for the non-french speakers out there). However for the most part he should 'speak' standard whatever-language-you-are-writing-in.

  20. well, if it doesn't have to be ON campus -- lasertag or paintball are always favorites. If it does -- does your campus have a bowling alley? (ours had a 4 lane one) or maybe you can find out what you need to do to get the pool for a couple hours? a volleyball game in the gym (or the quad)... lots of possibilities.

  22. If a wizard had a birthmark (that identified him as a wizard)... what would it be? If an American Goth Wizard had a tattoo... what would it be? Ideas please (with your reasoning if you have any) THANKS!
  23. Could it be DayLight Savings Time? anyway... a non-goat joke (as told by a 12 year old!): A boy and a girl have had lunch together every school day since kindergarten. They always have chicken salad sandwiches. Then one day in middle school the girl comes in with a peanut butter sandwich. The boy asks her why she's not having chicken salad. She blushes slightly and informs him that she could not have chicken salad any more because she's begun to grow feathers. The school year passes and one day the boy comes in with a peanut butter sandwich. The girl smiles at him. He blushes and tells her he has begun to grow feathers too. She wants to see, so they arrange to meet later to have a look. When they get together she agrees to let him see her feathers first, then she takes a look at his. She gasps and punches him in the arm, exclaiming: "You got the gizzard and liver too!"
  24. I'm with ya Graeme... totally CW no matter how I look at her -- or how long.
