Well, I can't believe that I have to explain that the forums aren't just for serious discussion -- they're also for humor.

Yes, the earth is changing it's ways. Some would claim it's global warming caused by humans. Others say it's a normal cycle. Still others say it's nature getting ready to evict the most destructive tenants it supports: humans. The truth is nobody really knows why the weather is the way it is. It's pretty clear though that the weather can't remain the same forever. Neither can the planet. It's one of those things people can't control, but they will keep trying. Like most things, they will make the situation worse than it would be left alone. Human's can't seem to accept the fact that nature has it's own path to follow and isn't going to allow people to decide what it's going to do. Maybe everything is how it's supposed to be. The best anyone can really do is guess at it while they do what they can to cope. I'm not complaining just yet, the roads are still good, the heat and air still work, and I can still order a pizza when I want one. Life is STILL good, so far!

I am totally aware of all that, but I chose to have some fun with the topic anyway. It's not that important to me personally, because I don't sleep around, and I don't have any plans to in the future.

OK, so Gates wants a condom that increases the pleasure of sex so people will use them more. That is probably a pretty tough challenge considering the amount of work that's already gone into condom design. While I'm not a condom expert myself, I'm still aware of the different designs condom's come in. Most are made of latex, and they try to make them as thin as possible, I suppose so you get a better sensation when using them. Then, they put stuff like dots or bumps on them, and little ribs that go all the way around. Some have a combination of those things. Some come in colors, which makes no sense to me. I suppose it's just in case someone has some kind of color fetish going on. Then, there are the short one's that only fit so far. I wouldn't expect those to be very reliable. The flavored ones make me wonder what they expect us to do with condoms. Are these for parties or something, and they get served with chips and pizza? Now, I like lots of choices in just about everything, but I'm not sure I would be interested in a glow-in-the-dark condom. Who wants to expose their thingy to radiation? I sure don't, and I don't have any problem finding it in the dark either! Some people are allergic to latex, so there are condoms made of synthetic material. Some are made of polyurethane, which seems to me a little weird. Isn't polyurethane used in paint and other stuff? Maybe these are condoms you can spray on, then you would get a custom fit. Is this the idea Mr. Gates is looking for? Hmm.... Then, there's different kinds of lubrication put on condoms. I suppose this makes some kind of sense, even though nature is supposed to be providing this part of the deal. The thing that confuses me is that some of these condom dealers put desensitizing lubricant on them. What good is that when the idea is to make it more pleasant? It's not like your going to need to numb your toy because something painful is gonna happen, like at the dentist for instance. I've got to figure that whoever came up with that idea has no true idea what sex is supposed to be about. I hope someone gets them straightened out before it's too late! I also have a real problem with the idea of making condoms out of lamb membranes. I'm not sure what kind of membrane lambs have, but I swear I'm not about to put any of it on MY thing. I was never interested in getting that close to any sheep in the first place. As for the lambs, I'm betting they are hoping this idea doesn't become popular. In the end, it doesn't really matter how good a condom is or isn't, does it? There's just something unnatural about sealing up the one thing you need most when your planning to have sex. It's kind of like making a sandwich but leaving the bread in the bag. You can chew it up, but it's not going to taste good enough to swallow.

It's always great to know your eggs are well balanced at least one day of the year. I wonder if it's a good idea to eat them on that day. Maybe they would be helpful for people who need as much balance as possible, like people who work in a circus. The girls who stand on elephants while they trot around a ring, or the people on the tightrope. If you make an omelet will it turn out more perfectly balanced, with all the ingredients evenly spaced and symmetrical? Maybe they could take the place of gyroscopes in inertial guidance systems. This could save some time and expense in production. Eggs may be a more balanced source of nutrition on this day as well. I wonder if the FDA has any data on this possibility. A big question for farmers is, are chickens better able to lay eggs on this day? If so, are they being coerced into increasing their production? This may account for the use of eggs during the Easter season, since there may be a surplus of eggs this time of year due to chickens being more productive. Of course, there may be a potential effect on chicks hatched from eggs laid this day as well. Are these chicks more stable than their peers from other times of the year? More stable chickens could be an important improvement for those who work on chicken farms. Then there's the packing of eggs for distribution. Is this process improved on this day of the year, or possibly made more difficult due to the desire of the eggs to stand on end? It's amazing how much influence eggs have on our lives. Who would of guessed?! I can think of a hundred other benefits well balanced eggs could offer society. Unfortunately, I need to go eat before my eggs get cold!

The correct wording would be "...there are soooooo many teams out there that have never won it, right Benji?" and NOT "...there's soooooo many teams out there that has never won it, right Benji?" Just saying....you know....hehehe

Most people adopt the views of their peers and spend little time truly thinking about any particular issue. The difference really seems to be in the group they choose to be a part of, and the acceptance of the views of that group is more or less automatic. The choice is probably made based on a persons need, or perceived need, for social acceptance and a feeling of security. It's no secret, of course, that people need to have contact with other people. The problem is in the diversity of views among people, and the desire to share common beliefs. This is why people seek out and join groups with specific characteristics. I don't need to elaborate because everyone is aware of this. Gay Authors is a great example. People join this group because it is predominately gay, and because it features gay stories. The fact is that people will always prefer to belong to some kind of group or another, and the most important groups are the ones where they live, where they have face to face contact with the other members of that group. This limits the diversity of available groups, and so the potential to find a group that would truly represent the persons views accurately is diminished. This in turn more or less forces the individual to accept some degree of compromise in what they will accept in terms of beliefs and values. Most people are willing to do this before they are willing to live outside a group, because they have a need to be part of something bigger than themselves. This is what I believe to be the case with the majority of people. When your talking about things social there are very few if any absolutes. The most important thing to me is to recognize that people will often express views or opinions that conflict with mine, and it doesn't need to matter to me because their views are just that, views. In the end I am secure in knowing who and what I am, and in living my life accordingly I make a much more powerful statement socially than anyone could hope to do in a blog or forum or group. It invalidates any inaccurate statements made by others about who or what I am. It informs those watching that the truth is often not what they are told by someone else. It validates me as a person, which is something only I can do. Someone at some point will say something about me that's not true, but their statement will be pretty much powerless because the people listening have already decided who and what I am based on my behavior. So, any time someone wants to make a statement about the kind of person I am they are perfectly welcome to do so. Good or bad it doesn't matter. As a famous man once said, if you call a dog's tail a leg, the fact remains that a dog still has four legs and not five.

Weather is a crazy thing, and I imagine it changes naturally more than by human activity. I know our government as well as some others have done experiments to develop a means of affecting the weather, mostly for the purpose of punishing their enemies. I suspect some of the things that they do have interfered with the normal workings of the weather, but I doubt that it ever lasts long. Unless you believe, as some do, that the planet is only 7 to 6 thousand years old, then the "history" of weather patterns on the planet shows that the weather has gone through some pretty extreme changes over the course of thousands and even millions of years. It seems that those with power want us all to believe that the use of fossil fuels is responsible for the changes we see at the moment. I disagree with that idea, and I am still waiting for some solid evidence to defend their position. The theories of scientists aren't enough to justify the extreme measures some want to implement, like cap and trade. I'm more inclined to believe that the weather is doing what it has always done, change over time. The planet hasn't always been warm and habitable, and I don't see any reason to think that it always will be in the future.. Humans haven't always been here, and they aren't going to be here forever. Of course, like most people, I want to think that this will always be our home, and that the future is full of great things for as long as the planet lasts. Unfortunately I think the reality is something different. I'm hoping that it lasts at least a little longer, like maybe another thousand years. Who knows? It's safe to say that whatever happens isn't going to be because of anything I did, any more than my existence is. So, I'm here now, this is my time, and I intend to make the most of it. The weather isn't going to care about me, and whatever it does I will need to deal with from one day to the next. So far it hasn't done anything too bad to me. I'm not going to tempt it either, like those who insist on living in places known for bad weather and flooding. A little sensible thought can go a long way.

If you want to find some new songs an easy way to do it is on Pandora radio. You just search an artist or genre and create a "station" and it will give you songs that are similar to what you like. There are options to add songs to your station and ban songs as well, and you can make as many different stations as you want, so you can "tune in" to any particular type of music you want to depending on your mood at the moment. Try it out if you haven't already, it's easy and free. http://www.pandora.com/ They have a paid version with expanded options. The free one offers plenty, and if you like a song enough to buy it you can do that too.

It's possible i would go, if they didn't take the same route as the original. I'm not very interested in the idea of a cruise in general given the bad luck cruise ships seem to have had lately. I love adventures, but I don't care much for taking risks that have a high likelihood of loss of life if something goes wrong. There are plenty of exciting things to do that have a low risk of losing my life. Who knows, this ship might turn out to be the safest one ever built. I'm going to be watching this thing because it's so unusual.
-
The only reason to do this is to make a name for himself, and charge enormous amounts for cruising on a replica Titanic. I suppose everything from the dinnerware to the carpets will be like the original. People are enamored with the entire Titanic story. It seems tragedy is one of the most popular subjects for movies. I don't think I want to go along on their trip through time, but I would definitely love to see this ship inside and out.

This is a funny topic. I don't know much about what other guys do, I don't go anywhere that they show that part. I've heard a few comments before, and so I'm guessing it's a popular thing to do. My friend Shelley says it makes sex better. I guess if there's lots of hair there it doesn't feel as good. I trim it down some myself because it's pretty thick and I feel more comfortable with less hair. I wouldn't shave it all off though, since I did do that once and when it grew back it itched so much it drove me crazy. As far as what it looks like, I like my hair. It makes me feel, I don't know, sexy maybe? So, I guess for me, it's a lot like getting the hair on my head cut. It's kind of a practical thing, as well as a "looks" thing. I just can't bring myself to ask the stylist to do it, even though I have a suspicion she wouldn't mind. So, once or twice a month I get a comb and some scissors out and carefully snip away until I have the perfect amount of insulation around my favorite physical attribute. I'm toying with the idea of some new styles just for that project. I'm just not sure what I would do. Maybe cut some eyes in and make a face, or maybe cut a big "D" to monogram my stuff. I suppose for Valentines I could have made a heart shape. But, so far, I've only trimmed it to make it more comfortable, and I don't have any creative plans for the near future.

I have to disagree with the idea that wearing colors and ribbons isn't passive. I don't think there is anything proactive about it, it's simply an attempt to display support for an idea or cause. If bullying is going to be reduced or stopped it's going to take action on the part of individuals. The same is true for breast cancer. The author of the thread himself said it's a passive way to say bullying is unacceptable. I don't know how much more passive you could get, the only requirement is to dress in something pink. That doesn't even require saying anything. I believe actually getting involved personally is a much more valuable investment than displaying something symbolic. People fly the flag, but that doesn't contribute to the strength of the nation, people who get involved politically and militarily do. One is passive, the other active. I doubt that any bully is going to be deterred by the sight of a pink shirt. He will be by the threat of a boot in his butt. Not that I'm against passive displays, it's just not my chosen way of dealing with issues I find important.
-
I never went anywhere all day, so I didn't wear pink. I seriously doubt that anyone would of known the purpose if I had. It's like those magnet ribbons, you don't really pay attention to them. Pink is already taken by the breast cancer thing though, and I don't want to support mammograms, considering they are dangerous in themselves. I also don't like the Susan G. Komen organization, but that's another story. I don't like bullying anyway, and I have stepped up before when I seen it happening. The last kid wasn't gay, but I knew he was on the slow side, and I wasn't going to let some creep steal his wallet. Amazing thing was, the kid who was trying to rob him threatened to call the police on me. I told him he should. Anyway, that's my means of campaigning against bullying. If something is important then getting involved directly is always my favorite approach. Being passive never appealed much to me.

haha, no not a lawyer but I am learning to write copy, so sometimes I'm inspired, and sometimes not. This time I just had a more open view on the subject and had some fun with it. Some day my copy will be seen everywhere, promoting everything from pizza to vacations on Mars. Yes, I love to dream. The only drawback to writing copy is that no matter how good you are you never get to be famous.

This would be a logical step in technology. Voice control is something everyone wants, so I'm guessing that the ultimate device will be one that's contained in a chip that can be worn, or maybe implanted, and a display that would resemble a contact lense. I think Glass will be outdone by someone with a better design. What I see here isn't what I would call cutting edge, it isn't especially unique. It's similar to the heads up displays I've seen in some vehicles, and some homes have voice controlled automation that let's you control everything in the house with simple voice commands from any room in the house. That includes lighting, heat, TV, kitchen appliances, and anything else you want to wire up to it. Even the shower can be controlled to deliver just the right pattern at just the right temperature. The only things you can't do, at least not yet, is put the dog out, and stop the nagging of your significant other. The Glass doesn't seem to me to have had much thought put into it, at least going by what little I've seen of it. I would think that they would have AT LEAST made it adaptable for people who need to wear regular glasses. As it is, if your one of the many people who wear glasses then it's of no use to you. Even if you don't need to wear glasses, would you want to wear this weird looking thing everywhere you go? My guess is the answer is no. All in all, it seems that Google has done little more than become the first to promote a technology that is bound to become common place. In the end I think they will be outdone by someone who will design a product with more options and better adaptability. Something that isn't quite so "in your face" as the Glass is. My opinion aside, it's a clear indication of what's to come. Like most new technology it's intended to make life easier, and I'm betting that Glass is going to end up a sidenote in the technology history book, overshadowed by a superior successor.

It would be OK if it was funny or something...

It don't make sense does it? If your going to hack a fast food place, hack the headquarters and change the menu to real food. That would be something useful!

Well since there are millions of websites that's a pretty hard judgement to make, so I can only do it based on my own experience and thoughts. 1. Google has to be near the top in most peoples minds since they have more than half of the search traffic, and when you don't know exactly what website you are looking for then you need a search engine. You also need some skills in the use of search terms, something lots of people seem to know little about. 2. eBay would be pretty important, since so many people use this site not only to shop but to dispose of their garage sale stuff. It's also a good site to have in your research arsenal if you need to gather info on trends. 3. Pandora is my favorite music site, so I'm listing it. There are lots of other music sites so I could be off track on that, but it's so easy to collect your favorite music there. It's also free, which is a huge plus. 4. Wonderopolis is important since it's a educational kind of place, and it's also one I've loved since I was a little guy. There are other sites based on education, but this one is special to me. 5. Yahoo news is important because it allows for readers to comment on issues. I personally don't like it that much since it tends to attract lots of clowns and idiots, but still I think it has it's place. I suppose I could have come up with some better choices, but I'm not that familiar with the millions of sites out there. I'm also pretty sure that it's all going to keep changing, so there's really no way to say which are most important at any given time. Let's just hope the feds don't get by with implementing their internet tax, we have enough to worry about already!
-
1. Australia 2. Argentina 3. Norway 4. Mongolia 5. New Zealand Five choices is a good start. The rest of the world still needs to be on the list. I don't wanna miss ANYTHING!

Funny stuff, hate it though when people start fights at sport events *throws peanuts at the refs* I don't know how that happens

Well, I guess this would be an OK situation, but what worries me is that the air machine only works after you put money in it. Would this violate some law or another? It could even get a little complicated, especially if the machine decided it wanted custody of the baby. That would become a difficult issue to decide on, since the machine was dependent to some extent on the man in order to accomplish it's mission. Now suppose the machine breaks down, and they need to find another machine to finish the job. Which machine would be considered the father? This could end up taking years to figure out, and by that time the baby will grow up machineless. It would be terrible growing up not knowing who your real air machine was. The court might even put the baby in foster care until they can figure out what to do, and we all know how bad foster machines can be.

I don't take pills for anything, so no I wouldn't. I don't think my sexuality is a problem to start with, and I think taking a pill for things that are a problem is....well....not very smart. Consider the evidence. People take pills by the truckload, and they don't seem to get rid of their problems. People seem to think pills are the answer to everything. If that was true people should have all their problems fixed by now considering how popular pills are. The only people who actually benefit from pills are the people who sell them, the doctors and pharmacists. Nope, no thanks, I refuse to be duped by the pill industry. Oh, ya, and I refuse to change my sexuality, with a pill or anything else. If it was wrong then it probably wouldn't be what it is. I wouldn't mind if some people changed their attitude about my sexuality, but I don't think a pill would do it. That would probably require something more realistic, like say a size 12 boot! I have a pair that I would be willing to contribute to the cause.

Russian meteor shower causes blast; hundreds injured

Yikes! All those big rocks flying around are scary! There's another one coming and it looks like it wants to visit earth. I'm going to have a good day today because I might not get a chance tomorrow.
