  1. “When Matthew was young, we’d come here for the Sunday brunch buffet, and he’d fill his plate with only bacon and donuts. One time he emptied an entire chafing dish of bacon and pissed off a dozen or so people in line behind him.” Dad snickered and gestured towards the line of people at the buffet. “We all pitched in trying to empty his plate of bacon.” “Stop embarrassing your son in front of his boyfriend. He was only eight years old,” Mom scolded my father. “So, I asked you to brunch fo

Three pieces for the noisy kids in the booth, Seven for the teenage boys roughhousing at a table, Nine for a fat man sitting at the counter doomed to die, One whole package for A.J. sitting at his dark cherry table In the land of Texas where the Cowboys are. One meat rules them all, one meat we all desire, One meat that brings us all to the breakfast table, In the land of Texas where the Cowboys are.
  3. I have just one wish, To wake up to you everyday, The sizzle in the air, The specks of grease everywhere, The warmth of your flesh against my lips, The taste of your meat in my mouth, The feeling I get when I'm with you. I could never know these feelings with any meat besides you, bacon.
  4. Limiting myself to the two choices that Scotty94 listed, I prefer soccer/football to baseball. I also prefer college level athletics to professional sports. I'd much rather watch college level baseball, American football, soccer/football, basketball, hockey to anything at the professional level. My problem with baseball is that there isn't enough action. It averages around 18 minutes of action for a baseball game and that is if you count each time the ball moves or a player moves. The rest of it is just standing around. At least in soccer/football you get to see constant movement by the players.
  5. I hate the switch. It makes me a royal bitch and before someone says something... Yes, worse than normal.
  6. Wow! I've read this one!
  7. We like to make it extremely hard for anyone to miss the announcement that you've been promoted.

  9. I was reading a story called Perry and Jesse by underthehoodster on Nifty and he eventually became a Hosted Author here. I came here around 2005 I think to check on the story. I lurked for years reading stories off and on until mid 2012 when I decided to join and submit a story I was writing.

    Prologue

Wow. This was a really great prologue. I almost had tears in my eyes as I found myself empathizing with the mother that had no choice but to give them up. I'm looking forward to reading more!
  11. Rob Ford is a disgrace and should not hold public office. Your suggestion that the current system should collapse so it can be replaced with something else bothers me as well because your support for Rob Ford shows you would support people utterly unfit to hold public office.
  12. I think my favorite is from your "Feelings" collection named Miss. I would really recommend others read it. A great read for those missing that person that they love. Having said that, now that you are with someone have you thought about writing about these new feelings you feel?
  13. I have a question for Totallyy. I know you often draw inspiration from your real life, in your story I Am Fine, are the main characters based on real people?
  14. Denver for three reasons. 1. Cia is for Seattle. 2. I've always had a crush on Peyton. 3. Denver is closer to Texas.
  15. Hmmm... I can't just pick one song. They mean different things to me, but these two I love.

    Crazy Dreams

The dream did not make me sick. I was sick with a fever and that is when I tend to have crazy dreams.

    Crazy Dreams

Oh no... We are definitely not analyzing me on GA.
  18. I had a really crazy dream last night. I woke up sick with a fever and it seems like every time I get a fever my dreams become really weird. The dream started with me entering a boxing arena. I've never actually been in a boxing arena, but it was obvious what it was. My ticket sat me between two professors from UCLA that I took classes with. One was my calc 2 professor that always told really bad jokes and the other I had for digital microprocessor programming. He was a total dick. They spent the entire time telling me I needed to go back to get an advanced degree. The boxing match was announced by Chris Tucker (the actor). It was between Justin Bieber and Bruce Lee. Yes, I am aware Bruce Lee has been dead for decades. I think it was supposed to be Jackie Chan since Chris Tucker has been in movies with him, but no matter how hard I tried to correct the dream it remained Bruce Lee. At first, Justin Bieber held his own against Bruce Lee which bothered me, but my calc professor said death must have really taken a toll on Bruce Lee. After several rounds Bruce connected with Justin's face and blood splattered out and hit people in the front row. Justin was knocked out at that point and everyone got up to leave except for us. They asked if seeing the fight had changed my mind and I said it hadn't. This is where I woke up and realized I felt sick and tried hard to commit the dream to memory. So, anyone else have any crazy dreams they would like to share? Please keep them to non-sexual crazy dreams, or at least keep the content PG rated to comply with site rules.
  19. Happy Birthday Cassie Queen

    Climate Change

This was the best part of your response.

    Climate Change

That is why I very clearly stated I wasn't combating the idea of anthropogenic climate change. My comments were specific to those that witness an odd weather phenomenon and choose to make wild, speculative statements based on that sliver of data. Myself, I'd rather people believe in global climate change based on a large amount of scientific data rather than the rantings of reactionaries to a singular weather event.
