Thanks for the update! I enjoy Reilly’s personality so much. “McDen” cracked me up. All of the primary six are engaging characters. It’ll be fun to watch them work together.

Just read this again. How did Ben know the main mates in the painting were both male, yet didn’t know the sex of the others?

I actually think Kellan and Sebastian’s beta are destined mates, too. No Glade plug-in smells as complex as what Kellan described, lol. Plus, it would make sense for a beta and lambda pair to act as support and counsel to a alpha and kappa pair. I think that’s what Rosalie knows. And we have to wait til SATURDAY? Ugh.

Great characters, and a refreshing take on shifters. The way this ended, man … would you consider updating every other day instead? 🤞

@Demiurge you say “dialogue” like it’s a bad thing. That’s the best part! Loren + Suman = YES PLEASE
-
These guys have got to be thinking, is there any reason to keep Suman alive? He’s ally to no one (except children, sometimes), is quite clear about his goal and promises nothing but chaos. Now that he’s threatened Wyn indirectly and Kalian directly, it’ll be interesting to see what Suman does (and says) to keep his head on his body.

Dr. Shane is a crap psychiatrist. You don’t spring something like that on a trauma victim like Devyn. Who knows how far this set his recovery back. Screw Margaret and her doctor. Meanwhile, I love the way Jason and Devyn are working to find clothes and shoes for his comfort.

Sooooo I’m the only one who wants to know what was in those bundles used to kill Rupert?

Nice ending to the story, and I’m sorry to see it go. I have two questions. 1) I’m assuming Saedric and Tucker didn’t know Cyn was cernunnos as a kid because he was all human until he shifted. Or did they at least sense it, and that’s why they wanted to befriend him? 2) Are Tucker and Saedric mates? And 2b) did you have to say Saedric’s beard was mangy? Not a look befitting an alpha, nor a romantic partner.

Busy Night in the Service Department

Ok, I need help, @garfwiz. I’m enjoying the story and can follow the main plot. But I’m finding it hard to appreciate the intricacies because I don’t remember who several of the characters are. Will you create a character guide with brief explanations of who each character is? If I was reading this straight through like book I might be able to keep it all straight in my head. But because this is coming in installments (as are most of the stories here, I’m not complaining) I don’t remember everyone. -
I may have screamed when I saw this story. 😃 WHY DID THIS POST AGAIN? I’ll come back and add my thoughts on this chapter. OK, I finished it. I’m so glad you couldn’t write anything else! I’m so glad you’re getting the band back together! I’m worried about Suman’s effect on Wyn. He can make the kid hear anything he wants, and better than ever. It’s gonna be a problem. Hurray!! Lolllll

I had to rush past the animal cruelty section; I can’t read that stuff. What a dark ending. What happened to Chip? Did he get examined at the hospital? Was he taken into care by DHS? He doesn’t appear to have gone to the beach house, since Brad and Beau were alone. And Gary — was his penis blown off? Beau was recording the whole conversation that happened before that; Gary made a full confession. Hope that’s taken into consideration. The one bright spot is Min and Sammy’s instant connection (and Sammy grabbing a cop in the way to the dorm). I was worried Min would take his own life. Interesting story.

I disagree. If Cyn’s never been punched he would only feel the plain, not necessarily know the source. Also, he was hella scared, so his mind was all over the place. I thought Eike had used his claws, then flicked back to his hand. Or yeah, a knife. But go, Sam! Either way, both sentences could be clearer, based on our responses. I just shook my head at all the humans busy recording, but not helping. Sounds about right. I was surprised Enforcer Sheamus is the deputy chief! It makes sense, but he’s been seen working closely with the pack hunters, not much of a mention of humans.

What a great, action-filled chapter! The social media mob descending is a fab plot point, as well as Chip mistakenly getting snatched. The panic room is an interesting addition, and it makes sense. But this. Exposition much? “Sammy’s father snorts, “Sammy, son, remember I’m John Abrams, a Lieutenant of the Special Tactical and Operations Team. My guys are the first ones called in when AR-15’s and bombs are going off. Do you honestly think I would be afraid of some fucking rich rapist, his political friends, or fuck even the Governor?” The little speech doesn’t ring authentic. Of course his son knows all those things. It would’ve been better for Sammy to explain on the car ride to campus. It would’ve gotten them moving faster as well.

I was thinking along the same lines. And not enough people were told Morris was coming. A surprising lack of thought went into Beau’s decisions.
-
Welp. Hostage situation. Sorry to see it, but not unexpected. Why won’t people take the threat of Gary seriously??
-
I read this delightful little story on another site. Please tell me there’s a part two.

Interesting chapter. I hope Cyn does meet Tucker or Chris one day, to find out the impact of his disappearance. Did people search for him? How did Tucker and Chris — but especially Tucker — deal with John’s weird disappearing act? That had to be unsettling as hell. Wonder if they think John is dead … It’s another impact of being raised mostly sequestered from humans, and another reason former prey shifters should integrate more into society. However, they mustn’t lose their life-saving instincts.

The Truth is Going to Leak Soon

Another vote for Oakland! Also, more people trying to hide shit. Poor Matthew! I’m hella confused right now, but hopefully all becomes clear soon. -
While confrontation makes sense, an aggressive therapy that requires a severely injured man to go among hundreds of students and attend classes while never knowing when the perpetrator of his attack will surface is just cruel. And unreasonable, in my opinion. Brad could confront Gary without appearing on campus. The stares and whispers could be a setback.
-
I’m actually surprised Brad is expected to attend courses in person. Accommodations are made all the time for students with disabilities. There are ways for him to learn and take exams without sitting in class sessions.
