Here I am thinking about poor Nisin, who’ll have to go through the change next. I wonder if his mate will be able to share his pain now? Iris would be coming for Kiyo, but if she could make Rick able to die violently and come back a few times, that’d be great. As for Nisin, his dad is dead. Looking forward to the council meeting with the swamp people in attendance (where’s Johan been?). And has anyone else realized Asta knit Elle’s scarf? I wonder if they’re related. And is Lechter’s wife still alive? I guess he’d feel it if she was ... *selfishly perks up at the thought of Connor and Ilaria winding up together* Thank you, Sui!

Great chapter! But I have so many questions! For now, will you please answer these five, Sui? (Or anybody who has theories.) 1. Why was Rick allowed to live after murdering so many people? 2. How did Rick know about the swamp people when no one else seemed to? 3. Did he kill swamp children, or just threatening their lives to keep the parents quiet? And hell, why didn’t the swamp warriors maul him for that? 4. Is Kiyo alive? (I selfishly want him not to be, so Connor and Ilaria can get together.) 5. Where was Chris during all this? He needed to hear the truth about his parents. Looking forward to what comes next!

Good chapter. Worried about Lechter. In his own way, he’s as unstable as Rick. Speaking of Rick, I wonder what illness he has. The blood he contributed was tainted, after all.

Hope they get there before the supplies run out. And I would’ve thought Kohen’s actions were driven by Brox if he hadn’t mates with the captain. I wonder what Querry is feeling from Kohen right now. I also wonder how old Querry is. Everyone, including himself, keeps referring to him as “old man,” so he must be noticeably so. My guess is around 85 — humans surely have longer lifespans at this point.

Ah, but Nisin would die if he wasn’t changed by his mate. I was hoping he’d be the one for warlock Rowen, since she spent so much time in with him. Now we have to hope he’s Matt or Chris’s mate, or maybe one of the splinter pack’s mates. Speaking of the splinter pack, they’ll come in handy when Connor and Rory have to fight the principal for control. Connor said that as alpha he knows everything that goes on, but it’s glaringly obvious he doesn’t. Sui, you know what would be a great way to celebrate the new year? With an early chapter! (BTW, will you return to the guy who wears modified kimonos, reads people’s minds and finds missing children? )

Excited to see the start of the next saga! Like the boys (funny how I say boys, even tho Landyn and Si are generations old), using Nico instead of Nöel will take some getting used to. I hope the guilt of the trio remains an issue, especially here in the beginning. They let Diarmad down in a near-catastrophic manner. Of course I already have ideas about who the traitor is ...

Because he’s tired of lying to Milan. And he thinks he’s ready to know the truth. And it’s three days before Milan’s birthday, so if all goes well, he’ll be changing Milan soon. I have questions of my own. Milan stopped wearing his mask at school? What’s happening with the McRieves — has Rory met them yet? It’s been about 10 days. What’s in that journal? The bracelet Rory wears is tied to that journal, isn’t it? (Tree on front of journal, Rory’s bracelet made from a special tree...) Is everyone keeping the boys’ relationship from Kiyo? Has the head of Biosense met Milan? What’s Nisin’s status? Who is Ayu hanging out with? You’re posting a new chapter hella early, right? So many questions!!

I’m not convinced Kiyo knows werewolves exist. He’s being provided blood with exceptional qualities, but he still may not know where it’s coming from. Looking forward to reading more about the McReives. I wonder ... if you’ve lived your whole life in a swamp, does everyplace else stink in comparison?
