I was thrilled to see an early chapter! Bummed that Dakota didn’t get Connor’s number before he left. I’m learning so much about horses and saddle-making and rodeo events. It’s lots of fun for a city girl!
-
Hope the next chapter posts soon! Excited to hear the story Lindsay said isn’t hers to tell. Rafe and Andre: Mates! Mates! Mates! Also thinking Bones and Lindsay might make a good couple. Zoel would have to die first, of course.
-
I’m really enjoying these characters, but uhhhh where’s everybody getting all this money from to have expensive custom-made saddles created and to pay for horses with cash (check)?

Wha? Seth did a 180 on his feelings about Craig. All along he was enjoying the sex, but he was clear that it wasn’t going anywhere. He was pissed that Craig wouldn’t talk it out with him (which … what was there to talk out?), but when given the opportunity he refused to step away and hear Craig and Roni’s explanation. And Craig … it’s obvious he couldn’t get it up for Stacy. And Ty … I dunno, man. I may be too old and grumpy for this story. 😆

Some people just shouldn’t be parents. Like @drsawzall mentioned, fascinating imagery in Dakota’s dreams. I’m particularly intrigued by the idea of he and Connor (if they are the two wolves) having three kids, and one of them in danger. Also, perhaps living in a burrow instead of a pack? And adorable young Jonas, who’s an interesting mix of knowledge and naïveté. Seems made for the work, as Dakota was. I’m enjoying this refreshing story. I wish you posted more often, but that’s me being greedy, lol.

I could see Craig outing Seth to everyone but if he did that, he could no longer be seen alone with Seth. So he’ll tell Stacy, and she’ll happily make Seth’s life more difficult. And I agree with others who have said Blake is in danger. Hell, so is Seth. The sad thing is, this story doesn’t seem improbable in any way. People are fucked up.

Me too! I saw the reference to sobriety in his earlier prayer and was like, “hmm, that’s an interesting prayer his parents taught him” and moved on. But then he called his sponsor this chapter, and I had to go back to chapter one to make sure I had his age right. 14. Wow. Then 12-year-old Chris took people off on a trail ride by himself? These are some old-ass young kids, lol.

While I’m thrilled that Bones grabbed the rest of the Scooby gang, I wonder if he’s the protection detail for these guys and not a student at all. He’s always there at just the right time to save the day. How did everybody get to the island? Boat? Plane? Teleportation via their tablets? Deyja’s REALLY gonna be pissed now that her secret lair is no longer a secret.

Nope, I’m standing next to you, wearing a matching frown. He’s getting in his own way.

This trio is the baddest of the bad! The enemy had to use potions and whatnot to (attempt to) defeat this family and it failed, in such an ugly way, too. My worry is that now Wyn’s majik has been witnessed, they can’t put that genie back in the bottle. But Wren. WREN. I fear the leader of the assassins won’t recover from being drugged and trussed by a 12-year-old. I wouldn’t be surprised if he left, or did something drastic to try to get his old self back. This was one step too far. You think we care that this book is long?? We WELCOME it. Keep writing,

Thank you for the chapter, @Aditus! It’s so nice to visit with these characters again. I have so many questions. Why didn’t Emil or Aykut try to keep everyone together? Why in the hell did Konstantin ask to speak to Kavan on the Conte’s phone? I can understand calling the Conte to ask permission for Kavan to stay longer … AFTER discussing it privately with Kavan. Such a bad call. And once he got the sword back I thought Konstantin would be on the first flight to apologize. Nope. I am legit confused as to why Kavan is being treated this way by his clan. Of course, if Kavan LET PEOPLE FINISH AN EFFING SENTENCE we might all understand the situation better. I hope he’s not this emotionally immature the whole story. That last sentence, tho! I don’t trust the Conte at all. The fact that Kavan has been left on his own with this master manipulator is irresponsible and dangerous. As for Gideon … 🙄

Shit, is Bones awake?? 😬

I love how the kids have no problem using violence against Talon, but never hurt Kalian, lol.

Ok, I’m gonna predict it: Lyme/Eon/Wren throuple. I actually think he’d fit in quite nicely if he learned to stand up for himself. And Amaris. We’ve all known someone in her situation. Hell, we may have BEEN Amaris in a situation! That section is particularly well-written. I have to go back and read how nasty Kalian’s mother was to him and his siblings. She doesn’t strike me as the type to just go along with what her husband said and did, plus I only remember what an asshole he was.

Craig is gay, but he may try using that excuse to explain his actions to Stacy. And really, she’s such a wretch, Seth must be the only reason he stays with her (that and she won’t put out, which he appreciates). At this point, the only bright spot for me is Craig didn’t rape Seth … this time. I fully expect him to do so if Seth ever refuses him. @Ronyx has Blake tried drugs for depression?

Great chapter, fuck Kalian’s dad, we gonna find out what the hell Loren was thinking??
-
Thank you for not letting Loren stay dead. Rest of the chapter was great, too. 😉 Keep ‘em coming when you can.

Why doesn’t Stacy get her license? Then she wouldn’t have to depend on Seth.

“Wolf or not, I’m not going anywhere. Doesn’t matter if it’s friends, lovers, or boyfriends. You’re stuck with me as a part of your life.” This makes me wonder about imprinting. There’s no jealousy or apprehension when Randy mentioned the possibility of falling in love with a woman, and as we can see above, Skyler doesn’t have a problem if he and Randy don’t become a couple. Like, at what point do you stop loving someone as a friend and realize you love them as a life partner? — signed, An Anxious Monogamist 😆

“I know you have your life back in PA and that’s home to you. Taking over a pack in California wasn’t your idea, and you only did it because of a friend’s request. You and Ethan did accept being alpha though, but you put the target on the back of Thad and Wade by leaving the local work to them.” He paused for a moment before deciding to continue. “They’ve both been shot in the last year, and if it hadn’t been for a malfunction, both would be wounded or dead today. I’m not trying to say I’d rather it was you or Ethan lying in that hospital. None-the-less, as your friend and beta, I have to question your commitment to your duties.” I thought Trevor’s speech was all over the place, which kinda makes sense because he’s mentally working through a lot of topics. But what’s the point he’s trying to make here? That Aiden and Ethan should more present alphas? That it’s time to make Thad and Wade the official heads of the pack, or make some other decision about pack leadership? As for Randy, once Trevor is gone I can’t imagine him being content with the limited time Skyler’s duties would allow. But if he were turned, he would inherit the family and sense of purpose he’s beeen missing. And he’d definitely get a better job … 🙂

The Problem With Cosplaying
Geemeedee commented on Laura S. Fox's story chapter in The Problem With Cosplaying
Interesting. I don’t think he was happy or excited to see her at all. Her presence dredges up the troubled memories of that time in his life, and now there’s someone on the scene who knows him better than Matty. Matty has a stalker roommate and (in his mind) competition for Rusty’s heart. Rusty is forced to feel all the feels. Shit just got way more complicated.- 92 comments

It’s a great idea in theory, but I remember that when Dorian “died,” those closest to him were kept in the dark so their response would be real. Shifters know when you’re lying; they can smell it. The guys wouldn’t be able to fake the level of grief and anger required.
