  1. I'm still waiting to find out who the other shifter was that Kellar met before Tobyn. Maybe in book 2
  2. The first two times I read this chapter, I wondered why Kellar saw the chance to mention the shifter mechanic as a golden opportunity. I was surprised he wanted Elinor to come along, but he does like her a lot and it would prevent more of those uncomfortable silences in Tobyn's company. I think the readers who speculated that Elinor might see the connection between her son and Kellar are probably right, but I doubt Kellar has considered this, and he certainly wouldn't expect her to interfere, even if she could tell Tobyn to stop being an idiot. So all in all, throwing the mechanic and a road trip into the story felt strangely abrupt, even if it did postpone the leaving and give Kellar the chance to be dropped off on the way back.
  3. No matter how exhausted they are, their bodies react to the presence of the other man, be it with excitement or sleep or caring. We already know Tobyn is protective and caring when it comes to his pack, and here we see it in full measure towards the man who saved Adelin's life. If giving up Tobyn as a husband is the price Tilly has to pay for her sister's life, I bet she would pay it without hesitation. The love she feels for her sister shines throughout the chapter and is wonderful to see.
  4. You know, it's strange to read this chapter and my earlier comment again, because my feelings were different this time. The dread and the pain got to me somehow, like a shadow of impending death hanging like a black cloud over Tilly and Kellar. She fears the loss of her sister, and he fears the loss of the man he has fallen in love with. I don't know why I had this strong reaction, but I'll credit your ability to evoke our emotions and engage our hearts.
  5. Well, meeting the most important woman in Tobyn's life went well, even if Kellar seemed slightly overwhelmed and a little And just as Kellar was enjoying the thought of Tobyn inviting him home and hugging him, there's Tilly, another woman he cares about. You had us all going uh-oh
  6. I think in every chapter there has been at least one reader who has mentioned how unique this story is. By the time we get to the end, everybody felt this way, and no wonder. You really did a fantastic job, Batman.
  7. He, he, good luck with stuffing those unexpected feelings into a box and burying it deep. All your readers saw the writing on the wall, eh? But how it would play out, now that is what keep us riveted.

    Gifting Day

Jeez talk about overprotective pack, what a bunch of idiots. I'm glad Pax immediately did something nice for Elias and kept reassuring him he wouldn't be smothered. Tillykke med fødselsdagen fra Danmark
  9. It's even more interesting to read all the speculations now I know the answers. Not saying any more

    Bed Times

Well, that was a big step forward. I don't mind Geoff needing things to progress slowly, but I wish he wouldn't back-slide. Tony can post on Stuart's wall: You're an idiot and a loser. I only kept the flowers because my boyfriend liked them. Public ridicule might turn his ex off.
  11. Oh what fun it is to read all the speculations in comments, mine included, now that I know all the answers. Of course, I'd never spoil anything for new readers, but rest assured all your questions will be answered.
  12. Should we also be careful about those words when commenting on stories which are not in the Mature category ? I don't think I've done worse than a few Bitches and the F word here and there, but I can't be sure.
  13. This is such an intriguing reply, but now I know exactly what you mean. Kellar's wolf has finally emerged and he is ready to begin his journey and find his future. The most amazing future none of us could have predicted at this point in the story, no matter how we tried. It was a fantastic experience the first time and I can feel myself quiver with anticipation at the thought of embarking on the roller coaster once more. (I jumped in half way through the other night, but decided to go back to the beginning and start all over again.)
  14. Coming back to this chapter after having read the whole story, it's interesting to see the important details which none of us commented on when you first posted the chapter. This is why it's so great to read a complex and well-planned story like this more than once.
  15. Even having read the whole story and knowing what this is all about, the first chapter still packs a major punch. And i love the way Kellar is totally confused about the changes to his body, both before and after the shift.

    Chapter 9

I'm sure Granger can fuck some sense into Cavendish, though I do not blame him for preferring death to a future shackled in a sham marriage.

    Chapter 52

I'm not surprised Carullo wants to spend a couple of days away from JJ and the whole family drama.
  18. I like writing reviews, but I find it hard to use the star system. Normally I just choose five stars, because I only review stories I really like. It seems to me most other reviewers also give five stars, but perhaps we should adopt your system, Myr. If I've done a blog review, I often use a slightly amended version as a story review. You can do the same @Puppilull Normally I add a link to the original review, but the link option has disappeared from the story review editor.
  19. This is a story of strong friendships and of budding love which goes awry at times, due to insecurity, mistakes and the misplaced interference from other people. The main strength of Mann’s first story is the way he makes the characters come alive before our eyes and persuades us to like them in spite of all their faults and mistakes. I particularly admire the way he portrays the insecurities and fears of Little Man without once making him come across as whiny, feeble-minded or weak-willed. Clay doesn’t let his emotions rule his mind for long, even when they mess up his heart. My only objection is the same as @Freerider mentions. I won't elaborate, but you can read my Improve and Encourage Critique of Little Man for specific details and more praise of this story.
  20. Yeah, links to stories do that, like this one: But can't you catch the upper left corner and then delete it ? (find the small cross by hovering the mouse over the upper left corner)
  21. Oh Can't you select it in the Signature box and press delete ? How did you add it ? Was it a link ?
  22. Go into your profile or press arrow next to your name in upper right corner. Choose Account Settings in the drop down Menu next to your name. Choose Signature in the list at the left of the page. Delete current picture / link and add new. Save. I hope it works.

    The Red Piano

It's a relief Maggie caught on to it early. I'm wondering if Ryan is having problems with connecting to his emotions due to the ADD again, or he simply can't bear to think about Toby being in danger. Connor should talk to his therapist about how it makes him feel,
  24. I'm surprised Maggie doesn't react to Toby not feeling well. It could be a sign of his leukemia returning.

    Chapter 2

where's the explicit stuff ? Great chapter, but Erik is being a little dense here. Can't he tell Ryan is fishing for him to move to Toronto ?
