    Chapter 1

I would have said No. I'd never marry anyone who made me publicly humiliate myself like that and was cruel enough to make me believe he'd forgotten our anniversary. He deserved having dinner with a pissy boyfriend and being shouted at. He could have suggested they celebrate it in the same place of their first date and kept the chocolate cake and the proposal as a wonderful surprise. On the other hand, why does his boyfriend have to be the one to set up this - it makes the teller seem like a passive (dare I say girly) person rather than a man. He could have invited his boyfriend out and avoided all the silly pouting and feeling put upon. But since they love each other, and both seems to enjoy the joke after the act, I guess they're made for each other. For my part, I liked the cool waiter best. Rant over - I enjoyed that. Hope you don't mind.
  2. What a wonderful way of declaring your love. And preparing a Christmas party dinner together was a great way of inching closer before the revealing.

    Chapter 1

I loved the matter of fact way Nick dealt with the challenges in his life. He told the truth when asked but in a way which let oblivious humans hear what they could understand. Josh will be a great companion and partner.
  4. I never got past the blue part between the ebook and the chapter.
  5. Brandon sure took his time, but at least he got there in the end. But seven years

    Forgiven

I suppose after two years in Purgatory he's in line for some heavenly forgiving, especially since it's Christmas. I'll never be noble enough to forgive drunken drivers, but then, I'm only human. Brilliant writing of the anguish and remorse.

    Chapter 1

I hope he's only accident prone in his private life and not as a chef. Thanks for the explanation about Charlie Brown and Little Christmas. This incident will probably become part of the family lore, to be retold every xmas to the everlasting embarrassment of both uncle and nephew (once he's old enough to understand). We have a few of those stories in my family.

    The Gift

Such fun, but Craagen would have driven me bonkers. I can't help wonder if Craagen has done this 53 times before or if it's his first. Perhaps this is the unknown reward for volunteering: you get to find your elven soul mate (or a bed mate). If the former, then Tligg was extremely lucky to win the lottery first time around. No wonder his room mate was exited, if he knew score from the start.
  9. I did indeed, and I enjoyed most of them. I even managed to leave comments for most of them. Though in hindsight, perhaps I should have left short reviews instead. I wanted to read your Nick Cringle story, Myr, but I can't read the two e-book formats it's available in.
  10. Hmm, now I wonder if the fairy was in the box voluntarily or not, and who would leave a gift like this. And will the fairy make a home now it's been offered food ? Sort of a reverse don't eat in the court of fairy thing. freepik You don't wanna know what Danes would interpret this as.

    Christmas Day

Looking forward to that. (bwt you got the wrong Tim )

    Christmas Day

My favorite line: your Grandmother laid down the law to the Homophobes Arriving with an engagement ring on his finger should really do them in. I'm glad he found happiness and hopefully a wonderful reunion with his family.

    The Story

Yikes, I'd imagined forcing him to live at the house and tend the garden, not claiming him as a human sacrifice. But it did make sense, and I'm always happy to read a tale where nature (especially trees) defend themselves against the destruction caused by man. This planet could do with fewer humans (say about .1% of the current number) and more wildlife.

    Elixir

So sensible and yet so magical. He finally got something to fill the aching hole in his heart left by the death of his father. It was the nudge he needed to transit from lost child to an adult capable of love and commitment. For Puppilull

    Chapter 1

I'm glad Terry went to all this effort or Billy might not have believed his interest was genuine. But a picnic in December on an island in the windy sea
  16. Take care, Renee, I hope you'll feel better soon, and the end result is worth all the hassle. Here are two SATW comics about the Scandinavian kids to cheer you up. https://satwcomic.com/raising-children https://satwcomic.com/babysitter
  17. I don't know if this is a real bug, or perhaps something which will be fixed with the next update, but I simply have to ask this curious question. In my activity stream on my profile I can see two comments which I recently left on Val's White Elephant Gift story, and one comment for each of chapter 18 of Graeme's Leopards Leap and chapter 48 of Leopard Spots stories. On my profile it looks like the first comment on Val's story had two normal likes and the second got six likes, but in actual fact the second comment got two LOL likes, not six. For the comment on Graeme's Leopards Leap chapter he gave me a LOL like, but in my profile it looks like it has three of them. (same for chapter 5 in Leopard Skin Cover, btw) For the comment on Graeme's Leopards Spots chapter he and mogwhy gave me a like each, but on my profile it looks like the comment has four of the heart likes, Two of the Graeme comments were my second comment on those chapters (yeah, I've been binge-reading the Lilydale Leopards over Christmas), but one of them (Leopard Skin Cover) was my first comment on chapter 5. I know it's not something really important, and I certainly never noticed this discrepancy before, but is there a technical explanation or is it a glitch ? No rush on the answer, enjoy your holidays. Happy New Year. I'm on Google Chrome on a laptop.

    Chapter 1

LOL, I have to admit I was as oblivious as Beau, so the ending was a wonderful surprise. I'm glad George could see the star potential in his co-worker rather than the explicit stardom of Mr. Nordsen. Will he send the dog back, now he's ploy didn't work, or did he really want one?

    Chapter 11

    A stripey gift

    You could read the prequel.
  21. Can't help you with the beta stuff, but let me know if you want me to put my editor cap on while reading. Of course, that might be more effective after a rewrite.
  22. If he leaves nasty comments about your writings, @Renee Stevens, you can always get back at him by closing the topic and do a critique on one of his stories.
  23. I shall definitely give this story a go when I have time.

    Chapter 18

Yes it has. Ross' mum asked him and he said he was 20 and would be 21 in January. I had the feeling she was pleased he was a bit more mature and experienced than Ross, without being too much older. Isn't it nice, when your readers remember better than you do, Graeme ?
  25. I'm not pissed at the chapter only at Don who is a manipulative, insensitive, nasty idiot. I hope Robbie tells the adoption court that he'll only agree to the adoption if Don and Sue are forced to go to at least ten hours of PFLAG counselling (or whatever the Canadian equivalent is), and if the retired social worker he met when he ran away comes around regularly to check up on him. I'd love to see Don's reaction to those conditions. But with Robbie's luck he'd get a bigoted official who'll tell him he's lucky to be accepted and adopted at all. I'm glad Daniel spoke up, he's obviously been at the receiving end of Don's subversive tactics more than once.
