  1. i own a horse and i work with horses, i like them a lot as an animal that said i actively support them being introduced on a more regular level to the food chain, at least here in the UK, as long as people know that, that is what they have been eating i want a pretzel! haha
  2. I was going to take this perspective, then I judged myself at the end of the day, the meat glue reminds me a lot of the horse meat scandal in the UK. I honestly don't really care what is being eaten, pigs blood or whatever, as long as the information is out there for people to make an informed choice about what is in their food, the way it is killed/processed, etc. Back to the original topic --> I've never had a pretzel so I guess I have no idea what i could be missing out on lol
  3. on second thoughts, i'm never eating again... actually i lie, apparently that stuff is banned in the EU though if you tell me whatever gross thing they use instead, THEN ill never eat again.
  4. Nandos is ridiculously overpriced, it was nicer before it became so horribly mainstream so upsetting haha mainly because the standards have started to drop in some of them! That said, if someone else is buying, i wouldnt say no
  5. depends where we are at home, we have alcohol, presents, alcohol, church, alcohol, lunch, alcohol, presents, alcohol, chill, bed then normally see extended family at some point between Christmas day and New Years day. we have a 4 bird roast with all the trimmings normally. if we're in Scotland, we have presents ASAP (my cousins are still very young lol), a quick meal before we go out for the Ba' http://www.orkneyjar.com/tradition/bagame/) which starts at 1pm or sometimes 10:30 if my cousin is playing, then come home after that and eat dinner could be anything from pork to turkey to goose, or sometimes one of my uncles sheep LOL we're normally at home, though
  6. just out of curiosity, can you name every single county and parish within the USA? my (perhaps mistaken) understanding of this thread is that it focused solely on geography, rather than the attached politics of how your government works. Through this perspective, naming all of the counties in the UK would be a perfectly accurate comparison, as they are sections of a country or nation, divided up and with their own councils, parishes, areas, etc.
  7. Perhaps Rizan, she's trying to make the point that if we asked an American to identify all 86 counties within the United Kingdom and where they are placed, they might struggle too? And i dont think its a case of not understanding how your government works, i think its a case of taking it at a literal geographical level. Tbh i resent your comment that 'foreigners' dont understand how your government fuctions. Lets tar everyone whos not from the USA with the same brush, why dont we? ETA - I can name the majority of american states and their rough locations, but i would struggle with that map haha.

  11. Happy Birthday Louis :D
  12. I'm single, and tbh I'm really happy about it I'm not sure whether I count in response to that question, being both straight and only 19 years old (like you, actually), but its something that I've pondered a lot lately. The majority of people i went to school with are settling down. They have kids, they are either in a council owned house or renting, in a long term relationship. They are getting engaged and married, if they weren't already. Throughout all of this, I cant help but feel way too young. I'm already worrying that I will never find someone who's compatible with me, because I'm the first to admit that I have issues and baggage, a lot of which aren't easy things to deal with for both me, and whoever Ive opened up to (and I'm sure anyone close to me would readily confirm that!). That said, in my opinion, to be worried about that at 19 is a little premature My theory at the moment is to be the best person I can be, to focus on my degree and to get my life in order. If that special someone comes along I wouldn't turn away, but it'll happen if its going to happen and I'm not going to try and force it. You have to be happy with yourself before people are happy with you For the moment, I'm happy to keep living my life on a spontaneous level, doing what I want to do, when I want to do it, and to have as much fun as I can while dealing with any of the crap. Id rather be happily alone with friends who support me, having a good and stable life with a good job (and lots of ponies or cats haha) than be miserable in a relationship just so I could cuddle someone for half an hour a day (and I'm a total cuddler, also a well known GA fact).
