‘didn’t you say he was gay?’ ‘yes.’ ‘then why would he flirt with you?’ and i know that wasn’t meant to be hurtful she doesn’t really know what she said but she dismissed out of hand the idea that a man who likes men could like me and i laughed it away shrugged and smiled sheepishly thought, it’s fine, she’s right, it’s okay she just said what I think anyway why would he like me if he’s gay? and it’s not that I want him to like me

Good morning, DiC! I went to bed early last night and got up pretty early today. Curie slept in my bed last night. Now she's exploring. There's a lot of hissing and growling going on when she and Tesla meet, but I guess they'll get used to each other eventually. I'm hoping Tesla will take Curie under her wing eventually and they'll become friends. And this is why I don't want to go to the gym... Well, it used to be why I didn't want to go to the gym. Now I don't want to go to the gym because of the whole changing room issue. Glad you didn't let them get to you. Those guys were assholes. Glad you're okay, Starry! Sounds scary. It's no joke working with the severely mentally ill. Hope the patient is okay too.

She is! ❤️ You can't really tell from the photo, but she has these magnificent honey brown eyes. I'm completely in love!

Hey, everybody. I’ve been on the road for two days and am utterly destroyed, but I’m home now. And on the way, we picked up this little lady. Meet Curie! I name my cats for scientists. Tesla is deeply sceptical of this new addition to the family, but I think she’ll learn to like her new sister in time. In truth, I think she’s been awfully lonely since her sister Lovelace died.

Ridiculous that the world is such a crappy, judgmental place that such a warning should be in any way necessary... This is excellent news and I wish you all the happiness in the world! Really hope it works out for the three of you. Sharing the love is a wonderful feeling. ❤️

What a beautiful poem. It puts really strong pictures in my mind, and feelings in my heart.

Morning, everyone! It's our last day here at the cabin. We leave early tomorrow morning for the two day journey home. It's been nice, wish I could stay longer. Hope you all have a good day! ❤️

Very nice! I like it.

Good morning, everyone! Hope you're still asleep in your beds. It was cold here again last night, but colder this morning. Hard to get out of bed when all I want to do is stay under my three blankets and keep warm. My aunt, uncle and cousin got here yesterday. We have three nights overlap before we leave, which is nice. Tonight my other aunt, uncle and cousin are coming for dinner. Family gathering, all three sisters in one place... Should be fun if they can keep the peace, lol! Hope you all have a great day!

Thank you. I'm glad you think so. Thank you so much for your comments!

I don't do spoilers... But you've read my stuff before, haven't you? You could extrapolate from there. Thanks for commenting! ❤️

Good morning, everyone. I woke up way too early with my brain utterly convinced that I was about to be sick so I couldn't get back to sleep again. Stupid brain was wrong, of course. Hope you all have a great day! I love it here. We're in the forest, with just a five minute walk to the beach. The cottages on our lot are oooold, like from the 1800s. Thanks to classic Scandinavian logging techniques, though, they were disassembled, moved, and reassembled here in the 60s. It is rustic. We have electricity now, but just a tap outside with municipal water, so no plumbing. We do, however, have a lovely sauna, so we get to wash and things. It's my favourite place in the world. This is where I go when I close my eyes and breathe and go to my safe place, lol.

In a strange way I actually feel kind of sorry for Jason... I mean, what drives a man that far? It's so sad. But now it's over, and Wren and Caleb are free to build their farm and their life at last. I loved Caleb's realisation of how much he truly loves Wren and always have, albeit in a different way.

It's less lovely when you sleep in an old cottage with no heating, I can tell you that.

Found this. It made me smile, so I thought I’d share.

Morning, DiC! Heatwave is over, here. Instead, it's barely above 10°C and these cottages do not have heating. They're insulated well enough, but damn, it's freezing at night! Could we have normal, season appropriate temperatures, please? Like, between 20 and 25? That would be great. Sigh... Hope you all have a good day!

Morning, everyone! Maybe some of you haven't gone to bed yet... It's 9 here and we're going on a little trip today, to a neighbouring city. I'm gonna see my godmother for the first time in many years, almost a decade, possibly. I'm debating in my head whether to come out to her or not. I don't think she'd judge me or anything, but I'm not sure I have the energy for the emotional labour involved... @Mikiesboy That looks like such a great story! I can't wait to read it, you've really piqued my interest. I want to know more about Salmar Tir! ❤️ Have a good day, all!

The grandparents certainly have their own motives, and I promise they will be revealed. There will also be more about what happened when Daniel's mum ran away. Thanks for commenting!

csr discussion day CSR Discussion Day: Love is Blind by Nick Brady
Thorn Wilde commented on Cia's blog entry in Gay Authors News
I read the first chapter when it was posted as a short story and I was delighted when Nick decided to make it a longer one. Love is Blind is a very sweet and heartfelt story, and it also gave me some insight into what it was like being gay in another time, as most stories I read tend to be contemporary. I thought it was a great read. -
It's not the same, but I used to temp as a daycare assistant. In one place, there was this little girl who was just the sweetest thing. I was only there for a week, but the day I left she told me she wished I was her mum (this was back when I presented as female). I was heartbroken to leave her. Thanks so much for commenting!
