I like space dramas and this was a good scene, Dolores. Sniff, sniff you did my two little nouns proud.👍🏻

You had a nice little vignette going for you, Northie, you did. But did you stop there? No! You just had to go and add that last line and elevate this short story into something special.

I liked it, imaginative and gritty (no pun intended [well, maybe a little pun was intended]).

Ooh, student teacher intrigue. Lots of graduation ceremonies going on in the greater Boston area—a story like this seems quite fitting at this time of year. I wonder if any cap snafus happened around here?

Circle opened the front door and found a Loop. Circle stared, shocked, but then Circle remembered he had a value and… with certain Geometrics, a Loop is quite valuable. Not that Circle had any call for a Loop, not really, not with the attention he was receiving from Square. Still, Square was being sexually pushy and Circle wondered if he might have to give in and let Square do what he wished to do (and soon). Fortunately today wouldn’t be the day and because Loop was young and in need of care, C

I was recently in Barnes and Noble (bookstore for those that don't know the name) and saw Tolkien's books made with some very fancy material (close to leatherette) for their covers. I liked the look and feel of the books.

Back in the seventies and into the early eighties guys wore short shorts—yes, I did too—and they were fashionable and looked good. Gay men, of course, pushed the envelope and it wasn't all that surprising when something showed its head; supposedly that wasn't on purpose. Sure, and I have a bridge to sell ya.😉

I actually managed to write a quick one hundred seventy-six word prompt (#332) story once. It's harder than people think to write something so brief, especially if you're a real talker out here in the world of spoken words and conversation.

Private Romeo is Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet set in a young men's military academy with an all male cast. I enjoyed this movie a lot. The movie is available to buy and rent on Amazon (free to watch with Prime), and you can buy (maybe rent) it on iTunes.

Congratulations on your promotion Mikiesboy. -
I'm with you in not particularly liking the photo. I feel like the moment is being stolen by the photographer. This is another notch in his belt; it's just another empty kiss caught on film. The photo represents a theft to me. This is why context is important. Did the artist mean for the photo to represent the ideal that MacGreg reaches for? If so, for me, Mr. McGinley fails in his intent. It is said that 'context is everything,' but with art we are often left to draw our own conclusions, within reason. It is not unreasonable to dislike the photo.

Congratulations on the promotion, Aditus. -
Past can be used as an adverb or preposition to show movement or place.

William, you and some others seem to be missing the point that stories, for practical purposes, are meant to be a consistent quantity on GA. What that means, and what that allows, is that each reader can fine tune each story to their own reading preference within the various parameters provided by the stories software and reader view in web browsers. Stop worrying about format and codes my friend, concentrate on your writing and post your story. Let your readers decide how they want to view what you write. This is, or, in my estimation will soon be, the only way to go. I get that design is a part of your creative process but bucking the system will leave you lagging behind, fluttering about fruitlessly and eventually left in the Stone Age.

This idea has been running around in my thoughts for quite a long time, at least since my first year of writing for, and otherwise participating in GA. Unfortunately, in practice, the idea has been on my 'to do' list just as long. I've mentioned to my sister, who is also a GA member (supportive, though mostly inactive), about letting people here know if I suddenly dropped dead, but that was in passing conversation. I may have to make an effort to stress the point.

Congratulations, LitLover. -
This was messy - fussy - what? a limo? - perplexing - reasonable - why didn't they take a cab instead of walking all the way to Chinatown? - oh, Oliver deserved that little something-something - I knew it - stupid school - and, FINALLY some hope! Pretty cool, I'd say.

Congratulations! Now stop thinking dirty thoughts about hiring processes.

What an enjoyable read this is. Very nicely done.

"First you feel an urge, then a sudden surge—hysteria!" I especially liked the snide commentary after the pranks, those focused on who was the chosen suspect of the moment, that worked well.

Ha! What a kick I got out of reading this, Cole.

Tony's First Day of Vacation - Prompt 566
Ron commented on comicfan's story chapter in Tony's First Day of Vacation - Prompt 566
Nice to see you back at writing. -
Nothing ambiguous about this short piece, Hudson, loneliness and loss are quite abundant. I think it fair to ask for some tiny ray of hope for the reader to grasp onto, even in a short story, even if the main character doesn't recognize it as such. I understand that working hope into a longer work is much easier to do and so the writer of a short story faces a challenge. Rise to the challenge and you'll have readers lining up.

Eat everything and in moderation, and not too much of it during any one sitting. That seems to me sound advice. But, kiddos, educate yourselves about where your food comes from, please.?

"This is not the chili from the chili mix package. It is not super thick and gloopy. It is fresh tasting, mildly spicy and not full of that chili mix/spice flavour i'm not so fond of." If you have an immersion hand mixer, or blender, and a can of chipotle in adobo sauce then you've got a real nice spice for chili. Blend all the contents together until smooth and add (to taste) to your chili mix. Save the leftover sauce in a jar with tight-fitting lid in your fridge for a long time. Sauce is good to mix with mayo for a smoky/spicy aioli, too.
