    Chapter 17

Excellent chapter Graeme! The saddest part of Neil and his parents are they don't seem to know one another very well. Maybe Mary knows Neil a bit more, but Neil doesn't understand them well at all. That is a tragic yet common experience for so many families. Deon is finally hearing Sam for the first time. That's good. It breaks the ice finally. Jim and Tony are so adorable. Very enjoyable. Poor Dave! This must be the event that jars it loose. Pills and alcohol are dangerous. We are seeing glimpses of what's plaguing the man. Sounds awful! thanks for your wonderful work!

    Purloined

Thanks Val! We will see where it goes.
  5. Purloined – Prompt #374 “Large dinner, shopping, a fight, snow, and a football.” “Why won’t anyone tell me anything?” Donnie demanded. He wiped his eyes, and glared at the police woman. Officer Slayton wouldn’t respond to him. She stared at him with a mixed measure of confusion, revulsion, and some contempt. “Slayton, a word?” the smelly man asked after a few moments. “There’s more information coming in.” Donnie sighed in disgust. This entire affair was taxing him. After a lovely larg
  6. I have a general comment that could also be a question. We all love hearing people like our stories or enjoy a character or scene. But, there are also comments about what worked for a reader. This kind of critique is also helpful to a writer so they know what specifically worked. For example, i will use Mann's scene in Priest and Pariah. When Costa was confronted by Captain Danverse and Arbor and Priest were in the crosshairs, it worked really well. Mann slowed down the action, described the events sequentially, and gave the reader a sense of exactly how the scene unfolded. This kind of review tells the writer how they achieved success and also gives other writers ideas on how they could do it as well. Anyway, it is helpful i think.
  7. Happy Birthday Addy!!!!!! Had i known, i would have baked a cake!!! Have a great day. Im blowing you a birthday kiss!!!
  8. I loved Tears of the Neko. I didnt know anything about them but you portrayed them well. One device you used especially well was tying Roman's scent to him. Did you only use that because of Kayden's feline qualities or do you use that otherwise. It was really effective. Thanks for sharing your work.

    Martin II #373

I love it. Of course, I've always loved the story within a story, Canterbury Tales like. This was a gem. So sad, yet hopeful. Maybe his path will be even better than he hoped. Thanks Addy!
  11. Haha! Donnie's universe is in a different place than he thought. We are still in this world however. I'm practicing a little. Stretching my artistic legs and seeing what I can do with Donnie. We've visited Agatha now. Let's see about another great! thanks Addy!
  12. I loved the shapeshifter curling up and the kids complete acceptance. No fear for them with all the pensive ness on Kitt. Really interesting twists and fun treatment. Thanks for sharing!
  13. You paint such a lovely picture and the emotions run through it so true. You can see them in bed together and feel the intimacy. Great job Addy! Keep it up!

    Chapter 16

This chapter had a lot of transition to it. I like the depth Neil's mom is displaying. Until now, it was Neil's impressions of her. We are seeing a little snippet of her now. Deon's finally letting his mask slip a little. It has to be hard for him to let the grudge go. At this point that's what it is, a grudge I think. Ty seems to be on a track to advance. I wonder how he'll deal with that. His father, not Dad, will probably screw things up. Meanwhile, its good to see the guys are settling down some. Great job Graeme and thanks for the Saturday morning read!
  15. Haha! Thanks Carlos! I don't think she intends to be mean. There won't be any tricks, magic or weird science to this. At least I hope I don't have to go all Stephen King and have dancing alen Bears solve the problem.
  16. I knew someone would get that! I love that scene and couldn't resist. Hey, prompts are for having a little fun and stretching our imaginations. We will see what comes up! Thanks Irri.
  17. Im sure i'll find a way to make it work. That is half the fun.
  18. Thanks Val! Who knows what's coming next. Not me that's for sure! Haha!
  19. A Body in the Library - Prompt #372 “Wait. You want me to do what now?” “You need to come with us sir. There are more questions and we need to take a formal statement.” “I don’t understand,” Donnie said frantically looking around him. “I don’t know anything. More importantly, who is that woman?” The police woman shook her head at him. Her grasp on his forearm was forceful and determined as he was led to the police car outside his front door. Well, it wasn’t really his front door. It wa
  20. This is the perfect segue for Mr. Malone's next encounter. Yeah!
  21. I'm so glad you liked it. I do love roller coasters, don't you? Tyrell is a very good friend and little Timmy is quite the magical little pussy! Thanks so much for the kind words LadyDe!
  22. Happy Birthday !!!!! Have a great day and do something special for yourself.
  23. I didn't mean to scare anyone. Roy had it rough and it takes a lot to get him to wise up. Tyrell and Kendra have tried for years! Now onto the rest of our lessons on how to be gay. So much to explore!
  24. I'm so happy you enjoyed it. Timmy saves the day! With a little help from Irri. Thanks Tim for the kind words.
  25. Thank you dear for giving me the key to this. I didn't know how to do it. Random acts of kindness deserve recognition! I'm glad you liked Tyrell and Roy's convo. I loved writing that. These guys are tight, really close.
