    Chapter 5

Tomorrow.... (BTW, I've read your CJ series and thoroughly enjoyed it, although I have to admit I'm a little behind. I don't have much time for reading when I'm in the middle of writing/editing/posting, all while trying to work. I'll get back to it. I promise!) Your next chapter is published tomorrow, Thursday. The chapters in the current CJ series are published each Friday. Readers, like me, who really enjoy both of you excellent writers will have a feast taking us over the holidays. Hooray! I may bring more than one dish to the feast. 😁 Did you know CJ turns 24 on Dec 23, 2021? And that's it for my story. Don't want to highjack the comment section.

    Chapter 5

Then you know I ended Summer with several cliffs. A major traffic accident, a shooting, an arrest, and a breakup. The fact I survived is a credit to GA readers being forgiving. I understand, I'm publishing one story, working on 5 others (writing, outlining, casting) and I'm ignoring a commitment to edit a story for another week.

Okay, I'm hooked. Next chapter, please.

    Chapter 4

Well done. The shift (pun intended) in story arcs was smooth helped by Ben and his situation being interesting. BTW, total GOAT (in more ways than one) move with the previous chapter's cliffy. Switching gears before resolving it took guts and what I assume was pure evil intent. Right up my alley. PS I've kept readers waiting for two years to resolve unfinished business. 😁

    Chapter 1

Loved the Orioles and Camden Yard references; I grew up rooting for the Os and made a special trip to DC/Baltimore when the stadium first opened. I wonder if Boog Powel still has his BBQ pace there. The intoxicating aroma permeated the cheap seats. The Rouse Company developed Innerharbor. They also did Southstreet Seaport in NYC and Bayside Marketplace in Miami. Your story has me intrigued.

    Air

Sad but beautiful in its simplicity.
  7. I just finished binge watching Lost in Space on Netflix. The reboot's a hell of a lot better than the original.

    A Pipe-Dream

That was captivating. Each dream an exotic location but home is where we find rest.
  9. Loved the street names! The story has a Dickensian feel to it; it made me think of a Christmas Carol even before the play was mentioned.

    Faverolles

All I'll remember is lesbian chicks being called old hens... 😁
  11. Nobody has ever used that word to describe me. 😔
  12. Thank you. You made me smile.

    GA Stallions

See what happens when you disappear? We all talk about you behind your back. Wait, scratch that. We talk about you no matter what. You should be proud, I called on everything you've taught me during the quarter hour it took me to write, edit, and post. Blame @Valkyriefor instigating this.

Northman's gonna need to be slapped down. Hard. Whether it's the ambassador, CJ, or someone else, it has to happen.

    Alan's story

Living with regrets can be hell. Good writing, painful reading. Happy Christmas, Northie.

CJ plans to display a large collection of firearms visible to any callers. I fear Liebe and the boys may not be able to date until they're in their thirties...
  17. I think I read the series had over 4 thousand named characters. If they pare them by say half for TV, I'm still gonna have issues keeping track of them.

I'm not entirely certain what Northman's reasons are for his antipathy. Jealousy may be a big part of it. He already mentioned CJ's education, so he must have attended a lower ranked school. The fact someone's jumped right into the limelight within weeks of arriving in the city could be irksome. It probably disrupts his precise plans and life. He'll be around for a bit, so we may find out more.

There may be a couple of travelogues in coming chapters. Mexico City's an interesting city, quite a contrast between affluent residents and the poor. My one visit was a couple of decades ago and although I was able to explore a bit, I'd do a better job of it today. Oh well...

And here I though writing detailed chapters again would be enough. I don't know about a 10k chapter before Christmas, but I'll see what I can do. Since the next one's set to publish on Friday, check with me on Thursday to see what I come up with.

Can you imagine three boys, born a month apart, related, and living next to each other? Liebe being a couple of years older will serve as inspiration, teacher, and even disciplinarian. I pity the parents when those three reach puberty and hormones ooze from their pores. Watch out Washington's teen girls.

In addition to the previous entries in the CJ series, reading the following spinoffs first will enhance your enjoyment of CDMX. Singer, Malibu, Ranger, New Year's Day, Chemist, and Cadet.

I may or may not have done the same with my nieces and nephews.

And he'll also teach her how to shoot, like he did with CJ. Uncle Harley will take care of teaching her how to ride.

One of the many talented individuals we lost to AIDS. Armstead Maupin had fun writing about him in his Tales of the City Series without ever naming him.
