  1. You're welcome. Chapter 1 will go live tomorrow and I may post another one on Saturday. What the hell, I'm feeling reckless. That opening line was designed to capture readers' attention. Plus, it's so CJ I couldn't resist. He may be a big-shot visa clerk now, but he's still rude, crude, and socially reckless.
  2. Yep... LOL I'm scared of responding because you came close to describing some of what will happen. I haven't been to Mexico City in decades, but I remember walking around the Zona Rosa marveling at the broken-glass topped high walls surrounding most homes. The fear and potential dangers were in the back of my mind when I decided to have them move into a high-rise with a doorman. A little more about their new crib in the next chapter.
  3. Good to be back, Kris. I had planned to start posting on 01/01/22, but I couldn't wait any longer. I needed my fix of reader comments!
  4. Thanks, bud. Come back tomorrow for another chapter.
  5. You're welcome! It's good to be back. Although most of the action takes place in Mexico, the entire family will make appearances.
  6. If nothing else, the Russian gave me the chance to have CJ blame his compatriots for he-who-shall-be-despised winning the 2016 election. You have no idea how happy I am to be back. Even though I'm already working on the next installment, yesterday I mentioned to someone I was having difficulty writing because I was nervous about CDMX posting and hoping for a good reaction. So far, so good. You're right. If he tries to mess with CJ, he'll realize he may have bitten more than he can chew. Great to have you back! EDIT Oops, forgot about the party. I wanted a way to open with an outrageous CJ comment and a chance to introduce the new characters who would populate the story. You've now met most of them.
  7. Thank you, my friend. You know I like to vary what happens in each installment and decided now that CJ's not a kid he could handle a little grown up intrigue. Yevgeny could become a thorn on his side, let's hope nothing bad happens.
  8. I know, right? Funny thing's I keep trying to turn Owen into more than arm candy. The First Dude may surprise a few readers in this novel.
  9. Just wait until the chapter where CJ rides his Harley around the Tidal Basin and the Jefferson Memorial while aiming Lola at the pursuing cars. Oh, wait, that scene's not in the book. But I'll lobby to include it in the movie version. Glad you enjoyed it, Parker.
  10. Good to have you back, Chris! About Yevgeny, he may make a couple more appearances in upcoming chapters.
  11. Yes, yes you will. It's taken me a couple of years to get here, but we will get answers before the novel is over.
  12. Then get ready, Terry. Next installment tomorrow. Same CJ time, same CJ channel.
  13. Hanging in there trying to ignore the aches and pains. Sorry to hear about your pooch, it reminded me of having to put Samson down years ago. As for Ozzie and his husband, I hope you like what's coming.
  14. LMAO CJ and Owen do look good in tuxedos and they do drink martinis. Even if they prefer gin over vodka. I should have had him introduce himself to someone as "Abello. CJ Abello."

“How the fuck do those tits not fall out of that dress?” Their hostess’ outfit revealed enough cleavage even a gay man would notice. CJ certainly had. He smiled at the bartender, accepted the cocktail, and slipped him a five-dollar tip. “Gracias, Elpidio.” He and Owen carried American currency around for situations like this one. The fiver made the bartender grin and thank them profusely. He surreptitiously stashed the folded bill into his vest’s pocket. Gratuities may or may not have been prope

    Chapter 7

I binged the first three installments, thoroughly enjoying myself. But at least for now, I give up. Too much confusion and too many inconsistencies for my taste.
