Nice story, only two chapters, but we got to take a look at some of what was going on in the past before the four weyrs moved forward.

Well written as always, and interesting characters and pacing.  Hope all that are enjoying this new look at the Pern stories by Mawgrim are staying with them all and enjoying them as much as I am.

If you love The Dragonriders of Pern stories, this is a great prequel (to more stories) to read.  It captures the spirit of Pern. It is an introduction to Mawgrim's writing style, which is excellent.  I found it enjoyable and very compelling for something this short.  Try it, I think you'll like it.  If you are like me, you will definitely want more!
