Chapter 127 When the Cat's Away
wildone commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 127 When the Cat's Away
Well that cliffhanger takes away the discussion on the rest of the chapter, doesn't it? So here is my top 4 of who is in the doorway #4 Daniel - he came home early only to find Robbie in his bedroom whacking off to a video of his once bed friend #3 Amy - she finally woke up and remembered she wanted to sleep with Robbie # 2 Nicola - Mr. Lube (I laugh every time I read that) drops her off after she slips a fake Viagra into him and it has adverse reaction Hmmm, what can I offer Dodger to publish on Sunday this coming week -
I know who it is too!!!!
-
Sure, I'll give you a clue, it has something to do with involving a hat being part of the issue

Sorry folks, no weekly update this week. Carry on with your daily activities and God Save the Queen. Okay, so I was saying to a ex GA'er friend that I had nothing to write about to start the Weekly Wrap Up and he suggested that I couldn't do that to you all So here is a look at what happened over the past week! Monday, it was CSR discussion day where Cia chatted with @northie Then on Wednesday, it was the first one of the month and the blog was turned over to Carlos: On Thursday, Myr started another month of looking at a past Anthology: Finally, on Friday it was Wayne's turn to let loose with another couple of prompts for everyone: I know I missed this last week, so my apologies But lets take a look at how we did on our goals for the past week: Anthologies Author Anthology Questionnaire - Click here to participate Anthology 101 - New in the Anthology Forum. Today is a day that I was not looking forward to If you look at the little pictures at the top of this blog, you will see who has posted in this blog, and how many times, I have been dreading this day for about six months, maybe more. I told Renee that it would be hard to surpass Trebs and move ahead of him on this blog. So who is Trebs? For those of you that have joined over the last five years here on GA, Trebs or Robert, was a Admin and on the board of CDEJR Services, he was the R. We lost Trebs to cancer just over 5 years ago. I wanted to pay tribute to a great man, and a friend that was there when I needed him, and was there for so many more in his life. He was the epitome of what we would expect to have in a friend. Loyal, caring, great listener, someone with sage advice and always fun to have in our lives as well. He, I believe was planning ahead for the inevitable when he asked me to come on as an admin from my previous role as a moderator. Although he never said it, he seemed to be giving me advice over the time from when I became an admin to his passing. Sadly, we don't always get to say a proper goodbye to our friends. Although he choose to pass quietly, I fully respect his decision. I can't help but feel that Trebs was one of the cornerstones of our current GA community and he gave freely and enthusiastically to make GA what it is today. Now as I post this blog, I shall go to 106 and pass my friend, but I know that he is happy that I'm still around and contributing to the site in my own ways much like the rest of the site from readers, to authors and poets, to staff and everyone in between. I can't help but admit that I am crying as I write this, just knowing that he will always be missed in my life but always will be just a memory away. In case you want to see what he meant to so many, pop by this blog entry when he passed. So shall we see what happened at the GA Blog this past week? On Monday, a great story was featured by @Puppilull on @Mann Ramblings story Innocence and Carnality: On Tuesday, Renee came back to let us all know about the final Anthology themes for 2020. 😮 oh my, that is only 3 months away! Onto Thursday, where Myr wrapped up the month of September with the final installment of Anthologies for this round: Friday was our usual day for Comicfan to drop in with a couple of new prompts. He did not disappoint again with two more: Anthologies Author Anthology Questionnaire - Click here to participate Anthology 101 - New in the Anthology Forum. Chapter 125 The Boy from Neverland
wildone commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 125 The Boy from Neverland
Well I'm glad that Connor was able to make Robbie's string stand up on it's end. Must have been a heavy dose of starch I'm glad that Connor was bold to Robbie in that he isn't looking for FB (no, not facebook friend ), but wants someone who is willing to give as much to the relationship as they get. It will make Dodger realize that someone is finally presenting to him an real relationship, not what he has experienced in the past. The fact that Connor picked up the yearning between Robbie and Nathan, should be a slap upside the head to Robbie NOT to go back to Nathan. I was surprised about the locker room bullies accusing Robbie of being Alex's fb. I wonder if it was just locker room gossip that the bullies felt they could get away with since Alex was absent, or if maybe Alex's preference for guys was well know. If so, we still haven't had the resolution of what exactly happened between Nathan and Alex, have we? Rory, I'm loving him more every chapter. It seems getting laid has brought out a whole new personality in him . Offering to participate in a threesome, calling out Robbie and his head turning, just he seems so much more confident and funny Loved this chapter Dodger . Thanks for sharing and looking forward to find out what is going to happen and maybe disappear in the awaiting Bermuda Triangle of Don, Sue and Jo. -
So am I normal? Now before the usual peanut gallery jumps in with a resounding YES (or is that NO), let me explain. Today, for a Saturday I was bored. I played on the computer, I cleaned the condo, I took the car for a wash, and still was bored. So I flicked on the TV and started going through the hundreds of channels and nothing really appealed to me. Next I turned on Prime Video, nope, nothing caught my fancy. Then it was over to Netflix. Well they are featuring a movie that I have never seen as I don't really care of horrors. Not for the usual reason though. So I decided to make a bowl of popcorn, grabbed a Diet Coke with Lime and sat down to watch the 1990 classic IT. Like most horror movies, I found it hilarious. I was giggling throughout at how they try to scare you with the surprises, the building of tension, the flashing lights and such. I mean, I know some people are afraid of clowns, but now I have to find out if I can get a Pennywise doll to cuddle with I wonder what our IT fan @Wesley8890 thinks about the movie? What do you think about the movie? Have you seen the new movie? That is another week of musings to start off the weekly wrap up On Monday, Cia took on the week to make introductions to the Classic Signature Author for September: Then to continue on Classic Signature week, Wednesday was the Excerpt day: Onto Thursday, when we had the 3rd round of stories for this month's Anthology Flashback, and a reminder about the November 19th deadline for the upcoming ones: Finally on Friday, even after eye surgery, our prompt guru Wayne brought us a couple of new prompts: So how did we do last week on our story targets? So I was thinking this week . Does that make everyone cringe? Today when I wrote this up. it is the 14th, so just a reminder to you all that we are now 10 days from my birthday and tomorrow will be 3 months away from Christmas. Now I don't want all of you all to fret and worry over having to get me pressies for both celebrations in the next 3 months! I know you all were planning on spending at least $50 Canadian ($12.50 US) on each present, so why don't you combine the two and each of you can give me a $100 present for Christmas . As I sometimes say in the my closing on requests... Thanking you in advance. Well with the weight of not having to buy me something in 10 days hanging over your conscious, shall we see what happened in the GA News Blog this week? Monday as I said in that blog, WOW. Our review team exceeded all of our expectations with a great Signature Author Special Review. Make sure you thank your friendly neighbourhood Review Team Member Jump on over to Tuesday and Renee brought an announcement for poets and authors to help with the 2nd round of Anthology Voting: Then is was a giant stride into Thursday, where Myr shared with us a new list of the September Anthology Flashbacks: Finally on Friday, Wayne sashayed into the blog and gave us another two great prompts: Oh, I bet you think I would go into the anouncements and stories as usual, but a certain pesky penguin spoke up and now as part of our regular weekly wrap up we will post how we did on the Story Goals the previous week. The first week of September has arrived and things are a changing! I've notice a bit of a uptick in the forums and stories and also feeling a change in the weather and length of days. I never understood how people who live closer to the equator have little to no deviation in the length of days. Just seems strange to me . Then the further you go south or north towards the poles, you get longer days/shorter nights and visa versa as the equinoxes are reached. But then again, it would be strange to have 24 hours of light, or dark . Currently here, the sun is fading out at around 7:30, but by the end of October, that will probably be 5:00 pm. So are any of you affected by SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder)? I personally just want to curl up and sleep more as the days shorten. Maybe I really am a bear and just want to hibernate So shall we take a look at our slightly busier week? Monday, Cia lead off the month with a new CSR Feature. Did you check it out? Then on Wednesday, Carols took a great approach and gave us a new and ever popular Ask An Author 2.0: On Thursday, Myr revived the weekly posting of Anthology Thursday. Now like the way that the members asked the Anthologies to be spread out over the month, we will be doing the same with the features! Friday, prompts galore were flowing Comicfan was back with a couple of new ones: Make sure to check out these two new Anthology points, first and second one!! Chapter 124 The Assessment
wildone commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 124 The Assessment
I’m feeling pretty optimistic for Robbie at this point. Really, Jo has more or less done what she can do. It really pleases me that he isn’t drugged up and being like Ginny. Other things for the optimism? Ginny will become a confidant. Rory, and remember DQ, he just found out about Robbie in counseling, will be another support for him as he finally lets Connor know what’s all going on. Connor is going to help him get his mojo back I think. Nathan still has a role to play in helping Robbie. Maybe he will finally show his hand regarding Alex. Sue has it black and white now. It’s either Robbie or Don. Under all her mistakes, she is a mom to core and will choose Robbie and her other kids over Don. I guess we just need to see the fallout of Don’s reaction when he realizes he is truly all alone. Last thing, I wonder if Sue saw his sister in law in Jo, like Robbie does Thank you so very much for sharing such a great story! Like everyone else I will be anxiously waiting for Christmas in September this year . -
I wonder if you are the same as me. Do you like being lied to on a consistent basis? I think not!! So why do we plan our days according to the local weather person? All week up to and including last night and this morning, they said this Labour Day Long Weekend would be mainly sunny with a chance of brief showers on Monday. Fair enough. So this morning, I get up, shower, put on suntan lotion because the also said the UV Index was going to be high. Dress in shorts, t-shirt and sandals and off I go to my 3 nephews separate flag football games. I can't get any parking near, and with me in a temp prosthetic that hurts to walk in, I make the long trek to the bleachers. Well guess what? Half way though the first game, the skies open up, it is a downpour. Fair enough, it should be over quickly. No, for 4 freaking hours it is a downpour. Luckily I had two nephews to send to go find my car and dig our a rain coat and umbrella for me But all in all, I really have no beef with the weather as I know somewhere in the world, this is just a minor problem to me and there are, or going to be, people that will be facing life threatening weather events themselves. So I shall suck it up and say my thoughts are for the rest of you that maybe are or will be in intimate danger Now shall we look at what happened over the past week! Sunday we had a special announcement to everyone in the Site Technology and Announcement Blog: Monday was Cia's turn to bring us the CSR Discussion Day: Wednesday,. Renee popped in to make an announcement to our Site Authors and Poets, to call their attention to the voting of Anthology Themes after the entire site came up with suggestions: Fast forward to finally Friday, for Comicfan to fulfill our fetish for prompts Anthologies 2020 Anthology Theme Selection Round 1 Authors and Poets only - Due by Noon September 9th 2019 Fall Anthology: Fall From Grace - Due November 15th 2019 Fall Anthology: Raincheck - Due November 15th Blog Opportunities Ask An Author: Send your questions for your favorite authors to @Carlos Hazday (no questions = no Ask An Author) Guess the Author: Open to all GA authors. csr discussion day CSR Discussion Day: The Heart of Oskar Prinz by Mike Arram
wildone commented on Cia's blog entry in Gay Authors News
I too would have said that historical fantasy didn’t interest me until I came upon Mike Arram at another site. I have been following along as Mike shares his stories with us here at GA, I am hounoured that he decided to share them with everyone here! It is interesting with his reading, there isn't a time over the last 10 years that I don't look at a world map and want to see Rothenia on it nestled in between Germany and the Czech Republic . To find out that your own story may have influenced the story line is nice surprise to hear! Does they mean you are actually a former porn model too? The other thing is that your humour shown in your interview, I can definitely see in your characters dialogue within the stories. This interview had me laughing through out it. Mike, it has been a great pleasure getting reacquainted with your works, and you, and looking forward to the future and any new material ♥️ -
Catfishing I’m sure you have heard of it, and I’m sure you know what it is, but here is the definition that I found on the word: INFORMAL•US lure (someone) into a relationship by means of a fictional online persona. "he was being catfished by a cruel prankster" Being that we are an online community we are always prime for catfishers to join and then lure possible members to lie to. We do have members who come and for their own personal sense of safety, may become Fred instead of their real name of George. We have members who say they live in Georgia, when they really live in Mexico. These are not in our opinion catfishers. They are just members who want to protect their identity and participate on the site. What catfishing is when someone joins the site under the two above false pretenses and then start to befriend multiple people. As their friend base increases, so does the drama they create about themselves, looking for sympathy and sometimes resorting to attacking other members who question their lies. We have had numerous people die on-site, and it was all calculated by the catfisher as one final gasp for attention. Yet they are signed up again to see the tributes and discussion about them. This and other cases of baiting members is a major cause of site disruptions and a major part of using staff resources. So how does the SMT handle these? First off, like above we just ignore the little things that are obviously for personal security. I'm comfortable with my first name and location known, but some are not. Usually the SMT will be alerted to catfishers by our perusal of the topics and forums. Then as a group we start to look at their activity and such. Most catfishers do get a warning that only they and site staff are aware of. In a lot of cases this is the end of it as they are aware they are being watched for creating site drama. Many times they quietly fade away. Some, however, don’t get the message and will double down on the drama, spinning more elaborate issues regarding health, friends, family, etc. Most will receive a second warning on this. Eventually, though, warnings just don’t get the message across. When catfishers start to take actions against the site staff for just letting them know that we are onto their lies and continue to pile more drama on the site, it is time to bid them adieu. This can and does have consequential effects on all our members. Posts and other content disappear and reputation from likes and such disappear too. This may have happened to your account in the past or more recently. It is not a bug and we can't prevent or reverse the points, unfortunately. On a personal note, I am a skeptic by heart on a lot of things. I’m always warning my dad and other seniors I know about current scams (no, not forwarding 100s of emails though ). I usually think I’m a pretty good judge of when something is too good to be true or too unbelievable to believe. Sadly, I have been caught up by catfishers on our site as well ☹ . It can happen to everyone. I’m not saying be a skeptic of everyone and everything, or you would never leave your house or participate here. Just be aware that there are catfishers out there, and that our SMT will try every possible means to minimize the site drama they create until there is only the one option left.

First off, I need to remind everyone that they have one month to go out and buy me my birthday present Well we are about to head into the last month of the 'Summer Months' in North America. I know the southern states kids, teens and adults are back in skewl and the northern ones and Canada are about to head back in about a week. Not totally clear on how Europe works Summer here is also a time where we slow down at GA. With College/University Students home for the summer and working or such, and people taking time off for some much deserved holidays, things do slow down a bit. So a general welcome back to everyone, and if you have found your way here for the first time, or as a guest, welcome to you too! For the southern hemisphere, I imagine everyone is itching to get to their summer now Looking at the blog this week: Cia on Monday brought us a new Classic Author Feature: Wednesday was a great follow up with a Classic Author Excerpt: Friday Wayne was gracious enough to give everyone a few more prompts: Anthologies 2019 Fall Anthology: Fall From Grace - Due November 15th 2019 Fall Anthology: Raincheck - Due November 15th Blog Opportunities Ask An Author: Send your questions for your favorite authors to @Carlos Hazday (no questions = no Ask An Author) Guess the Author: Open to all GA authors. So I really have nothing to talk about this week in the Weekly Update preamble, so I thought I would throw out a joke and some useless trivia Why did the chicken cross the playground? Did you know that giraffes only need 5 to 30 minutes of sleep in a 24 hour period They often achieve that in quick naps that may last only a minute or two at a time! Now, onto what happened around these parts this week! Monday, Renee gave us a great story review from @Puppilull: Wednesday was the last day to get in the 2020 Anthology Theme Selections, so Renee revisited the blog from a couple of weeks earlier: On Friday, Wayne popped by to give some new ideas to get some new ideas flowing from our heads to paper: Anthologies 2019 Fall Anthology: Fall From Grace - Due November 15th 2019 Fall Anthology: Raincheck - Due November 15th Blog Opportunities Ask An Author: Send your questions for your favorite authors to @Carlos Hazday (no questions = no Ask An Author) Guess the Author: Open to all GA authors. I had an idea today I think we should start a swap your life club here at GA! Why you ask and how? Well, we all live in a area that seems to be effected by the weather right now around the world, so what if you could trade lives with another member that wants your weather for a bit. So @Slytherin for example says she is too cold in the wild north of Scandinavia and @Daddydavek says he is burning up in the Mid West of the US. Well, those two will swap places for a week or two But this means for everything! Daddy will have to go to work and perform LBO's occupation and in turn she will have to do all Daddy's yard work and such and chase around his grandson on a daily basis! So what do you think? It seems like weather is something that ties us all together, so why not . So let me know who you want to swap lives with for a bit. Well enough of that great idea, but bad logistical one and move onto the wrap up. Please also remember you have until August 14th to get your submission in for the 2020 Anthology Themes!! Monday, Cia graced us with a new CSR Feature for the Month of August: Then on Wednesday, Carlos dropped in with a great new Ask An Author 2.0: Wednesday we also had a Announcement and Technology Blog that wasn't featured, but was still a good one to check out. Will explain that new widget we all see on the home page: Finally on Friday, Wayne aka comicfan dropped a couple of new prompts on us: Anthologies 2020 Anthology Theme Selection - Open until August 14th here 2019 Fall Anthology: Fall From Grace - Due November 15th 2019 Fall Anthology: Raincheck - Due November 15th Blog Opportunities Ask An Author: Send your questions for your favorite authors to @Carlos Hazday (no questions = no Ask An Author) Guess the Author: Open to all GA authors. csr CSR Feature: The Heart of Oskar Prinz by Mike Arram
wildone commented on Cia's blog entry in Gay Authors News
I am so happy that @Mike Arram is posting here! The Heart of Oskar Prinz definitely got me hooked on Mike's writing from the start. You never really know the direction that story will go next, which is a great thing! I started reading this story in the beginning of June I think, and now 3 other stories down the line -
I've updated the above list

So no surprise this week. Hopefully you all have been keeping up to date with Shark Week I have a lot of respect for all the parents out there, I just got back from 5 days of camping in the Rockies with my 3 nephews under the age of 12 with no power or internet or even cell phone coverage Well now that I'm sure that some of you are digesting that horror of that last statement, shall we see what has happened while I was out playing with bears, mountain lions, and cougars (and 3 kids). Huh, so Justin is the fourth. And Gavin is out. I was kind of hoping that Gavin would be in. It does seem strange that he hasn’t taken up the offer to call Henry up if he was feeling lonely. Maybe finding out who Henry’s circle of friends are were too much for him I hope Wayne stays away. Not only will he have Eddie, Davey and Henry to deal with, but Justy as well Great chapter.

Good to see Davey will be around, it will be good to have a good friend a shout away. Curious about Henry’s plans for Justin and if Justin knows 😛 Eddie might be right about coming for a security consult, but he might be taking on the garden in the end As for Gavin/Henry, will be interesting to see if Henry can hold out. By his own admission he is a bit of a whore when it comes to men, and Gavin seems to bring the necessary equipment to pique Henry’s interest. Great chapter.
