Okay, the idea of canned hotdogs makes me 🤮 So looks like we should set up a lynching party for Dirk. Everything is pointing to some bad juju happening in the past. Interesting that a week ago Trevor was facing a rage sea (there is a glossary with the Atlantis page linked at the end) to being becalmed. Seems like the sea can be a fickle mistress 😛

What's up, buttercup? So did you get to use that expression on Valentines Day? I know I'm late and maybe should have presented this last week, but oh well . So I remember when I was in elementary school, getting a box of Valentines Cards and filling out for everyone in my class, boys and girls. I was thinking to doing that this year at work but when I mentioned it to someone, they thought I might be setting myself up for a visit with H.R. So, did you do anything to spread your love this year, and if so, how? Or do you hate Valentine's Day all together? Now a request to everyone! If you look at the GA Classic at the bottom, it is empty We have been using a list and we have now run out! So if you know of a story you think we should feature in the weekly update, make sure to drop me a PM @wildone. This can mean any finished story. I shall compile a list and then Renee and I will start providing a link and the blub for the stories that you suggest! Even if it has been featured in the past and you think it should be featured again, let me know! For series, let's try to feature up to completed books. This should be your place to feature a favourite story of yours . Now, shall we visit what the GA Blog brought us this week? On Monday, Renee introduced us to a new Featured Story by @Thorn Wilde On Wednesday it was another round of Q & A! Lots of Authors contributed to this! Then we had an Anthology Thursday this week! Great responses from different people all working to get their ideas going. Finally Friday arrived and the all Renee week ended with a couple more prompts from @comicfan Anthologies 2019 Spring Anthology: In the Stars - Due May 15th 2019 Spring Anthology: Snapped - Due May 15th Blog Opportunities Ask An Author: Send your questions for your favorite authors to @Carlos Hazday (no questions = no Ask An Author) Story Recommendations: Open to all GA authors & readers. So at least Lisa's Dad is on board now. The only thing I don't like is all this faith in actually a stranger to all of them, Bridget. I thought about the only child thing, I have to disagree with Joel's comment. I was the only boy in 3 kids, and my sisters would never walk in without knocking and getting permission as I would not do to them. Maybe an multi sibling family of one gender, but not mixed I don't think. Still, would have been funny if Trev had took off without Joel on board Let's see where the guys are off to now!
-
You know, I really like the picture of the Rock, but wondering if you have any men that are modeling the said swim suits I'm a little surprised that Lisa could turn her dad around so quickly. But he is holding off calling Joel's dad, so that is probably a good thing. Interesting that we have the benefit of the doubt to eliminate Dirk from the murder, or at least I think I do , but where is Bridget getting her information. My spidey senses are a tingling.....
-
Yes, she thinks she is a penguin but really she has an identity crisis. She is a puffin .
-
So we now know who Jim is, Dirk’s attorney. Funny that Dirk won’t even reveal what he knows about Rachel’s disappearance for 7 years. That kind of eliminates murder or conspiracy to murder. Looking foward to Trev and Joel monkeying around the Med 😛
-
Well that was a quick trip. What, a quarter of his trip in one chapter. 😛. I can’t see the rest of the trip going so smooth if there is 100 plus chapters to go Looking forward to see what trouble Trev and Joel get up to in the Med.
-
Joel must be mistaken if he thinks that people will wonder if he is Canadian by being in a speedo. It is too cold up here to wear those things. And if we do, they are fur lined Speedos 😛
-
That was a lot of sailing....to go no where. Oh wait. The title of the book is circumnavigation and Trev just circumnavigated Grand Bahami Island. Is the story over? 😛
-
I 100% agree with Miles Long about both Dirk and Trevor having hot heads. Compounding thing was the fact that Joel and Lisa are both helping him out blindly if my my bank had to tell me they didn’t have enough cash to clear out my accounts and I was 17, shouldn’t the bank at least be checking that no criminality is happening with me? Not that Trevor is doing something illegal but to ensure he isn’t being blackmailed or something? A call to Dirk or some hard hitting questions at least.

Chapter 115 Old Habits Die Hard
wildone commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 115 Old Habits Die Hard
This chapter definitely wasn't for the faint of heart Now did I misread this: I read it a second and third time The way that very last sentence was written, and the fact that Alex is crying and there is blood among other things, did Robbie just do a Bobbit on Alex God I hope not. Although Alex deserved it. Rape is rape. 😢 -
Monday Cia brought us the February CSR Feature: Wednesday Carlos was back with another great edition of AAA 2.0!! To most Americans, 1985 was about the second Reagan term and the economic boom that was following the stagnant 70's. The culture was wrapped up in materialism, so it's no wonder that Madonna's "Material Girl" was popular then. Then there is this parallel culture, the gay culture, reeling from the onslaught of AIDS. So the divorce adds an interesting twist to Rachel’s disappearance and since a Trev and Dirk both are mad at each other’s, I don’t foresee them moving forward with each revealing what they know, or what they think they know. Looks like stormy seas ahead. 😛 i too enjoy the photos. I’ve only heard rage sea here, so off to ask my friend Google what exactly that means.
-
I always remember the sides of a boat by what a hs sailing instructor taught us. Left has four letters and port has four letters. That makes starboard the right 😛
-
So Dirk is going to Miami for a weekly conference, but by heading north. Something is fishy (pun intended) 😛
-
Well one down, 11 to go So the topic around North America this week has been the weather. I won't go into temps as there is both Celsius and Fahrenheit used here. The interesting thing is that as both approach -40, they meet. So pretty everywhere in North America above Mexico, it was darn cold. But I don't want to just talk about North America, so what about your neck of the woods. I imagine Australia is basking in their summer. Is Europe freezing cold too, or just a normal winter? Let's jump into the week in review, and I mean at the GA Blog and not the weather Monday, we hit the end of the month so it was our CSR Discussion Day: Then on Tuesday, or was it Wednesday (I'm so confused ) it was another addition of Improve & Encourage: Flying into Friday, we had another couple of prompts from Comicfan this week: Anthologies 2019 Spring Anthology: In the Stars - Due May 15th 2019 Spring Anthology: Snapped - Due May 15th Blog Opportunities Ask An Author: Send your questions for your favorite authors to @Carlos Hazday (no questions = no Ask An Author) Story Recommendations: Open to all GA authors & readers. So have you started to regret the holiday season? Did you maybe spend a penny or two more that you expected this year? I was thinking how lucky we all are in that we can come to GA and read and read and read and not put out a penny if we want! And this community is the reason why! I don't know why, but I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that contributes to the site, Authors, Poets, Editors, Betas, Members, Review Team, Author Promotion Team, Anthology Proof Team, Site Moderation Team, and Admins. Chapter 112 The Blues Brothers
wildone commented on Dodger's story chapter in Chapter 112 The Blues Brothers
What's up with the dizzy spells They are getting very worrisome and it seems like even Robbie is also cluing in that there is something seriously wrong. Also, WOW, that was a bit of temper tantrum with Fran. Combined, those two things are looking like a disaster about to happen. Now, onto Conner, I love him Nothing ever bad came from a good Saskatchewan (no, I didn't have to spell check that ) guy . My first bf was from there . I had a strange thought, and I don't even want to admit that I might see the way that Don and Sue think, but do you think that they might be more accepting of Robbie if he is dating a wholesome boy like Conner who lives and works on a farm and is a salt of the earth kind of person? Nathan, as described by Robbie, seems to be so out there, like having Liberace in your face. Not that there is anything wrong with that, but could Nathan have been too gay for Don and Sue? Is that homophobic of me to even say that I have to admit, there were some lines in this chapter that were hilarious! The Nathan reference for Nathan. Opening and coming out of the bathroom door together. Conner dressed as a gorilla for a blind date and then Robbie's reaction, “No way, he’s much too hairy for me.” The famous landmarks and tourist attractions. Finally the quip about technology on the farm made me laugh as I was shocked as hell the summer when I drove down that way and say Amish people driving around on their horse and buggies Thanks for sharing Dodger! Hoping the next chapter is more happy stuff and less serious stuff- 49 comments

That Call You Don't Want
wildone commented on JamesSavik's story chapter in That Call You Don't Want
I'm so sorry to hear that there is nothing else to be done. I remember that call I got from my Dad when my Mom needed to move to hospice You've been so strong in sharing your feelings and such over the last while about not only what your brother has gone through, but yourself too. The fact that you are writing this is a testament to that statement. I encourage you to write some more, some more chapters to this 'story' which you've choose to tell. Not only have I got a glimpse into your brothers life, but also a bit more about what influence he has had on you Hang in there and remember all the good thoughts that will always be with you
