Noah is at the point of no return. Does he lie about Jordan or come clean and face the consequences? he's already figured out he'll never be happy living the life his parents want him to. Even if he never gets back with Jordan, he needs to live a life true to himself. My heart breaks for him.

Ouch...this has been brewing for a while, and Sebastian just lit the match. I understand both their sides, but they need to calm down and work it out together. Noah is scared to come out and shouldn't be rushed or forced to. I have a feeling he will sooner rather than later. I just hope Jordan is still around to pick up the pieces.

Rick is in desperate need of self-confidence. Going to places like that will most definitely not help. Hopefully things will be on an upswing now. No doubt he'll be spending more time at Cedarcrest and get to meet the pianist again. Hopefully he can erase the hurt of the past and make more pleasant memories there.

Their relationship is progressing at a perfect pace. Are things perfect? No relationship is, but they navigate the issues and get on with things. They're both trying and that's what counts.

Aiden is awesome I love the dynamic between all the characters. You have a real knack for characterization and dialogue.

I totally forgot about him sending Jenn's picture until the last minute I was thinking that Aiden and Jenn would make a great couple, but now there's a giant wrench in the works. It will be fun to see him get out of this one

Jordan made the right choice to go see his father. It's too bad his father hasn't changed. I relate to Jordan's feelings so much... his dad has characteristics of a narcissist--someone incapable of empathizing with the world beyond their own needs. Unfortunately, it's a personality disorder that can't be changed. At least now Jordan knows and has made the effort. He can walk away and not feel the slightest bit of guilt.

Thanks, but nope... definitely not clearing! We had hail earlier and it did stop raining for a bit. It's raining again though, and dark as night in the house. Temps are in the 50s and only supposed to rise into the low 60s. It's quite windy as well.

Same here. It's pouring rain and thundering. Very dark and cold this morning. One cat is hiding from the thunder, and the other is snuggled up by my side.

I don't think I have a preference, as long as it's well-written. The TV series The Sinner is a perfect example of both styles. I've only seen seasons two and three, but they are quite disparate in how they reveal the mystery. Each season is successful in drawing the viewer into an intricate tale with plenty of suspense. I think there definitely needs to be red herrings and some element of surprise thrown in, otherwise it's boring if the writer feeds the reader all the clues.

Sebastian's up to something... I'm glad Jenn forgave them, although I have a feeling sending her pic to Aiden is going to come back and bite him.

TEETH Great chapter! I hope Jenn comes around. It's not easy to be betrayed by your best friend, but I think their friendship is worth putting the effort in to repair it.

Ooo not the way Jenn should find out! I really like how Jordan and Noah are drawing closer to each other. They're building a solid foundation for their relationship. Jenn's going to be pissed off, and rightly so, but I think she'll eventually get over it. I hope they can all repair their friendship and move on. And I soooo wanted Jordan to punch Sebastian squarely in the face!

Great interview! Invarcel writes psychopathic characters very well. Anyone who likes darker stories should definitely check his out. I love the term 'plot skeleton'. What a perfect way to describe a simple story outline.
