    Something... or someone--most likely Ali's father--prevented Ali from being able to see Jamie again. It's clear how much they each care for each other. Hopefully Jamie will learn the truth now that they've met again.

    Great beginning I had a feeling there was more to the Kohler place than he was letting on. Maybe the new inhabitant will be someone he can connect with better than Rita. I look forward to reading more.

    I'm going to guess someone discovered the letters and made him put a stop to them. I''m curious as to what will happen when they meet, and why Jamie's world shatters. And now we also know the significance of Ali's tattoo.

    This brought back memories of old theaters I've been to throughout the years, and made me wonder how some of them are faring now. It's a moving story that made me tear up. I could picture the stars clearly. I like how everything came full circle and it retained a bit of the wonder of its youth before dimming forever. I enjoyed this a lot.

    I'm really enjoying this story. It's not a slow start at all. I think the pacing is just fine so far. I'm looking forward to finding out more about these two.

    He was actually really good for the vet, although no doubt he would have preferred to avoid the whole experience. They were able to get the x-rays completed without sedating him. The worst part of the vet visit for everyone is getting him into the carrier. I'm so thankful for this mobile service because they make the process so much less stressful on all of us. I locked Joker in the bathroom and the vet was able to go in and get him into the carrier with much more ease than I ever could.

    Thanks, Clo His bloodwork was normal, thank goodness. I was pretty worried about the constipation though. I had a cat once who was having a difficult time pooing... to the point I took him to the emergency vet. It turned out he had lost motility in his bowel and was unable to eliminate them. After that, his systems shut down one by one until he went into liver failure and there was nothing we could do except let him go peacefully. I think he was 16 or 17. So I'm relieved Joker's condition is treatable.

    Joker had a follow up visit with the vet today. He had x-rays taken to see if there were any abnormalities in his digestive tract. Thankfully, all structures appear normal... he was just severely constipated. Poor kitty has been having chronic issues with constipation and vomiting. So he got an enema and I can't imagine he's still constipated after the massive load he unleashed. He's getting Miralax daily and I'll make some dietary changes for them too. I'm researching higher fiber foods, which the vet recommended. She gave me a link for prescription food, but it's prohibitively expensive. Although I'll get it if there are no viable, cheaper alternatives.
